Allowance To Pantura

Vishnu First Year, 12 October.

Heru Cokro led his bodyguards and arrived at Pantura. It has been half a year since the establishment of Pantura and this is the first time Heru Cokro visited it.

The boat sailed through the canyon, twisting and turning along the way but still moving towards its destination steadily. He raised his head and all he could see were cold rocks and hard rocks that were partially dyed dark green by moss. The atmosphere around was dead and boring. He looked straight up. The steep cliffs take up half of his view, forming a blue horizon in between.

The rushing stream swept his anger towards the rock cliff wall, the sound of water ripples rang out as the water splashed onto the hard cold rocks and splattered in all directions.

A sharp turn suddenly occurred, and an upright skyline loomed over from the ground upwards as it merged with the bright blue sky. As the small boat sailed through the stunning horizon, the scenery became open and clear. High skies and vast land, warm sunlight glistened upon the earth. The thick white line of the beach was visible from afar, rumbling sounds were heard as waves rumbled in the sea. A pair of seabirds flying through the sky brings a wonderful feel of liveliness.

The narrow and wide, life and death, so sudden yet harmonious, all coexisted. Heru Cokro was astonished as he looked at all of the creations of this extraordinary mother realm.

On the bank of the river next to the sea, a majestic region stood between the heavens and the earth. Its existence in this land subdues every living thing in the area.

Notonegoro Village Chief and Pantura naval admiral Joko Tingkir, along with their trusted subordinates were waiting for the arrival of Heru Cokro at the dock.

The boat slowly reached the dock, and Heru Cokro walked down the boat under the protection of his escort.

"Greetings to Your Majesty!" The officials bowed and greeted Heru Cokro.

Heru Cokro nodded and said, “You are all the backbone of Pantura. Pantura couldn't have become what it is today without one of you. Your hard work and contributions are greatly appreciated. Today, I am not here to show off what I have achieved, so you might be dismissed!”

"Understood!" The officials did not dare to delay, and they all dispersed. Only Notonegoro and Joko Tingkir remained.

Heru Cokro did not rush into the village. He smiled and said to the two, "Let's go for a walk!"

In fact, even Notonegoro and Joko Tingkir know very little about the purpose behind why Heru Cokro visited Pantura.

The previous night, the two received an emergency letter from Director Manguri Rajaswa. In the letter, it was mentioned that the master would visit Pantura, but did not explain the reason behind the sudden visit.

Naturally, the two would not reject their master's request, so they replied in unison, "Yes!"

The group of three walked towards the shore, while the guards kept their distance from them and watched their safety closely.

While they walked slowly, Heru Cokro turned around and looked at Notonegoro, "Notonegoro, how has Pantura been lately?"

Notonegoro was surprised for a moment. Then, he bowed and said, "Report to master!"

"Hey," Heru Cokro waved his hand. “This is not a palace, Notonegoro can pass the formality.” This was also the reason why Heru Cokro did not rush to the village head's office, as he did not want things to become too serious.

Notonegoro nodded and he began to report to Heru Cokro casually about the main points and the Pantura issue.

During the last military and government meeting, Heru Cokro had proposed a plan that they should diversify their industry. After the meeting, the clerk's office had arranged the proposal into an official document and sent it to the affiliate's territory.

The head of the secondary territory knew exactly what Heru Cokro meant. They began to look for ways to diversify and also develop their unique industrial planning.

In this case, Pantura is placed in a bad position. As the saying goes, 'Those who live on mountains live off mountains, those who live near water live off water'. Pantura is located by the sea, so it is natural for them to exploit the fishing and salt industries. But other than that, it was difficult for them to develop other new industries. Their industrial structure is very simple.

Needless to say, the salt industry is bordered by coastal areas by the sea, so it has long been experiencing congestion.

The fishing did not go well either. Fishermen had to worry about bad weather and face the threat of pirates, so the industry itself was not very stable. They can only catch fish in the territorial waters of naval shipping.

An estimate of half a month is needed before Pantura can be upgraded to a medium-sized village. This is the time when Kebonagung is chasing them, and it has become a medium-sized village in the last week.

Although the migration of mountain barbarians played a large role in it, Notonegoro was still unsure. As the first subordinate region of Java Dwipa, Notonegoro always viewed Pantura as a benchmark and model example of the subordinate region.

To pursue Kebonagung, Notonegoro held a small discussion with Joko Tingkir to launch a military operation to exterminate the pirates. They can catch fugitives while increasing Pantura's population, removing the obstacles faced by the fishermen.

Joko Tingkir had the idea in mind for a long time, and when he listened to Notonegoro, the two soon met each other. However, after several losses, the pirates of Suro Ireng began to retreat. For a long time, they stopped sending surveillance ships to monitor the movements of Pantura.

In order to avoid any unwanted occurrences, the two ask for help from Heru Cokro, hoping he can agree to a military operation to exterminate the pirates.

Seeing the two convoluted and eventually returning to the topic of pirate extermination, Heru Cokro laughed and shook his head. “You two, stop giving me two-man comedy shows. The fighting that has been taking place on the ground lately has indeed affected the operation to exterminate the pirates. However, along with the fall of the limestone mountain and Putri Cempo Hill, the battlefield on land can now enjoy a moment of peace. And that's why I'm here today, to discuss with the two of you about matters related to the extermination of pirate Suro Ireng on Noko Island.”

Listening to his words, Notonegoro and Joko Tingkir were overjoyed.

As they spoke, they had reached the shore. The sea water is clear and the beach is clean from garbage.
