Raden Partajumena Reorganizes Military Part 1

Although the peak of migration has passed, there are still hundreds of indigenous Javanese who will rush to Java Dwipa to pray or migrate.

As the island of Java began to find out more about Java Dwipa, the migrant group changed from a believer to one who came here to try and make a living.

The situation that occurred in Java Dwipa is something that envy all rulers. Some hurled insults while others congratulated him.

Heru Cokro naturally did not care about the outside comments. After the temple fair ended, Heru Cokro handed over the trade union recruitment and migration to the Financial Bureau and the Administrative Bureau.

The talents recruited were temporarily given jobs by Kawis Guwa, waiting until the region was upgraded to an advanced subdistrict before giving them a permanent position.

This increase is a breakthrough throughout the system and core region. In terms of administrative structure, of course there will be a revolution. Heru Cokro had already begun to consider the related changes in his mind.

After the festival, Heru Cokro began to turn to the 4th mission.

Army group trials require the corps to pass military trials. Java Dwipa only has 1 division, so they do not need to hesitate and only make division 1 follow the trial.

The problem was that after checking the related settings for the trial, Heru Cokro hesitated.

Based on the system setup, the upward division could undergo trials, and if successful, they would gain unique specialties and be rewarded with military flags.

The crux of the matter was that after the trial, the division members who were undergoing the trial other than the victim could not be moved. If they did, that specialty would lose its effect.

This arrangement was to prevent some of the rulers from cheating, using the elites in the region to help the military group settle the trial.

Division 1 is just a temporary plan. It was divided into three camps in the west, north and east, which were ruled separately so they would definitely split in the future.

The search meant Heru Cokro had no choice but to reset the military. He gave this mission to Raden Partajumena so that he had complete control, and for Raden Said to help him.

The role of Raden Partajumena is still undecided, and Heru Cokro has just given him a temporary title as the Great General, giving him the power to lead the Javanese army of Dwipa.

Since he came to Java Dwipa, besides living in the western fringe camp, he went to the other three camps and checked all the military groups.

After a week of inspections, Raden Partajumena finally issued his plan.

In the reading room of the ruling residence, there were only Heru Cokro, Raden Partajumena, and Raden Said who showed how important this meeting was.

Raden Partajumena did not directly explain his plans but explained the problems he was facing. “Based on my investigation, the Javanese army of Dwipa has some major problems, First, the soldier type is out of balance. We have too many cavalry and too few infantry. Of the 1st division, including the Paspam Regiment and the independent regiments, of the 7 regiments, 5 were cavalry regiments, excluding the light armored cavalry regiments in the 1st and 3rd regiments. Cavalry takes about 70-80%.”

“Secondly, we don't put enough emphasis on scouting and logistics. Not only did every regiment not have scouts and army cooks, even the 1st division did not have such a role, which was very confusing.”

“Three, mild armored mix, heavy armour, cavalry, and infantry. With the 1st and 4th regiments at Pamong Kulon Camp for example, there were slow-moving heavy armored mountain barbarian infantry and fast-moving light armored cavalry. The entire speed of the troops would be burdened by the slow-moving mountain barbarians, and lose the advantage of the light armored cavalry.”

“Fourth, the warrior type is too little. The entire division only had cavalry troops and sword shields. Spearmen, archers, crossbow archers, etc all are non-existent.”

Raden Partajumena's analysis made Heru Cokro feel very embarrassed. At first, he was quite happy with his organization, but it was actually full of mistakes.

Heru Cokro stood solemnly and bowed towards Raden Partajumena. "Thank you for the help!"

Raden Said also blushed. As the director of Military Affairs, he did not succeed in helping his master perfect the military system, or it could be said that he failed in his job. However, he was not to blame as he was at most a regimental adviser. How could he handle such a large army?

Other than Raden Said, only three historical generals could help Heru Cokro.

General Giri was, of the three, the best in military affairs, but since he was rash, he would only care about fighting and not about such minor matters.

Jayakalana, of course, originated in the Kingdom of Magada when military planning was still in its early stages. He was also a fierce general, so he wouldn't know much about all these fine details.

Raden Syarifudin also recently joined the army. His experience was a little, so he would not voice his opinion. Therefore, it led to a situation where Heru Cokro, who was completely incompetent in such a matter, had to organize the military and expand it to the current scale.

Thinking back, it wasn't easy.

It was only when Raden Partajumena arrived that the weakness of Dwipa's Javanese army was revealed.

Heru Cokro was very pleased that the Javanese forces of Dwipa did not expand to a scale that could not be saved and that Raden Partajumena came just in time.

After discussing the weakness of the army, Raden Partajumena only explained the strength of the army. “Although the army has a lot of problems, we have good equipment and a great general, so that's the bonus point.”

Heru Cokro froze, his depressed heart had a hint of happiness.

After analyzing the pros and cons, Raden Partajumena began to ditch his organization's plans. “We need to solve the problem that the three camps are not under the same command, but they are all part of the same division. I advise division 1 to be broken down into 3 divisions, each camp has one. As for the current labor issues, we can prioritize one division first to join the army group trials and the other two divisions will be expanded slowly.”

Heru Cokro nodded. Raden Partajumena thought similar to Heru Cokro when forming the first regiment.

Whenever the military was organized, it would cause a lot of panic. Therefore, any reorganization must be planned in advance, especially for large-scale planning.

“Division 1 will be at Pamong Kulon Camp. General Giri was good at infantry and cavalry, and was an outstanding general. Therefore, the first division would be the light armored cavalry and mixed infantry division. There will be sword shield warriors, spears, archers, crossbowmen, and light armored cavalry. The sword shield warrior would not be a heavy armored mountain barbarian and instead focus on light armor to improve the mobility of the division.”
