Dayak Revolt and Hunting on Gili Raja Island

After successfully conquering Djate Village, Raden Partajumena decided not to immediately attack other enemy bases. He wanted to keep his plan secret, so as not to give any clues to the enemy about their attack. The destruction of a single village could have been considered an isolated event, but if too many villages fell in a short period of time, even a fool would start to get suspicious. Raden Partajumena is currently awaiting the arrival of two other groups of troops who will join the battle.

On the 21st day, Trident Pantura Squadron returned to Pantura Port.

On the 23rd day, Gayatri Rajapatni led the northern side of the army to their destination.

On the 24th day, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi led the southern side of the army towards their destination.

On the 25th day, Raden Syarifudin led the 2nd division to begin their journey towards Djate Village.

The Battle of Gili Raja Island has begun on all fronts. Back then, in Banjarmasin, the headquarters of the Tiger Legion, the moon hung high in the dark night sky. Only a few small torches lit up, giving it limited light.

In the mountain army camp that was being built, two young soldiers on patrol took the time to talk to each other.

"I heard Division 1 has boarded the ship. But we don't know their purpose" said a thin-faced middle-aged soldier, his face filled with long scars. It made him look like a man who had fought against a savage beast.

The soldier he spoke to smiled, "Good. This could be an opportunity that comes from the sky."

If Heru Cokro was here, he would definitely recognize this middle-aged young man as a warrior who had once challenged him. The name of this young man was Batur Barui, and he held the title of the bravest warrior of the Dayak Tribe.

However, his title as the young tribal leader of the largest tribe among the Dayak Tribe was of more importance. The other tribe leaders had to pay their respects to him.

The leader of this young tribe obtained the title of the bravest warrior thanks to his combat achievements. Since he was eight years old, he had started hunting inside the forest. In his first hunt, he managed to kill a wild boar weighing 150 kilograms.

That success created a huge uproar at the time, but that was just the beginning. Each subsequent hunt brought victory against the fiercer beasts. He had defeated wolves, leopards, and even an extremely powerful black bear. His spirit in hunting was a legend among the Dayak Tribe.

Thanks to his extraordinary ability and courage, Batur Barui has been appointed as the deputy leader of the Dayak hunting squad when he was only ten years old. At the age of fifteen, he became the respected leader of the hunting squad and was considered the only option to become the next tribe leader. When this happens, the main target of Batur Barui in hunting turns into wild animals that are very dangerous.

Batur Barui was born with a power that is considered as a gift of gods. During his journey as a hunter, he developed and perfected a set of killing techniques that were very effective even against wild beasts. Moreover, he had the ability to kill without hesitation, even in stressful situations.

Although the Dayak have similar roots, they are often involved in conflicts and battles due to competition over hunting resources. There is a tradition in the tribe that a Dayak warrior must behead his enemy before he is considered an adult. It is a cruel practice that illustrates unforgiveness in tribal battles. Batur Barui broke the record by becoming the youngest to kill an enemy at the age of ten. After this, his name became famous throughout the mountains and forests, stirring up fear among his enemies.

Some nearby tribes tried to stop its growth and even tried to kill it several times, but it always failed. By the time Batur Barui was fifteen years old, no one dared to face him head-on. He took over the leadership of the hunting squad and the tribe thrived every year.

An important event in the life of Batur Barui was the arrival of the Tiger Legion in Banjarmasin. He watched as the other tribes were defeated by the force, and as the leader of the young tribe, he decided to join as a volunteer.

Once, when the Dayak tribe he helped fight against the Tiger Legion lost their lives, they tried to take Batur Barui away. However, this young man had other plans; he wanted to infiltrate as a prisoner into the enemy forces to gather valuable information.

The plan is not only very bold, but also smart. Fortunately, at the same time, Ashwatama was looking for recruitment for his mountain regiment. With his incredible strength, Batur Barui was naturally chosen, even promoted to captain.

In addition to his impressive physical strength, Batur Barui is also known as a very intelligent young man.

In his brief encounter with the Tiger Legion, Batur Barui realized that he had to deal a crushing blow to them before the Mountain Regiment was formed. He knew that if not, their chances would be even lower in the future.

"The question is, Division 2 is still here. Do we have a chance to win?" said a middle-aged man with a scar on his face. The presence of the 2nd Division had brought a heavy blow to their tribe, and even the brave warriors were hard to deal with.

Batur Barui smiled confidently, "Of course we still have resources inside. As long as the Mountain Regiment acts, we have a great chance of winning."

Many prisoners in the Mountain Regiment still recognize and respect Batur Barui. They are ready to follow their leader, and their relationship is a strong one. One such prisoner was the man who spoke to Batur Barui.

"The leader of this young tribe is indeed ingenious!" the man said as they continued their conversation.

Their conversation only lasted for a short while before the two disappeared into the darkness. They did not realize that a pair of evil eyes were watching them from the darkness.

"Hey, the victim finally took the bait!" whispered those evil eyes.

Batur Barui did not even know that his brief encounter with Heru Cokro had made him a target of monitoring by the Military Intelligence Division. They watch every step carefully.

However, after knowing the identity of Batur Barui, General Aswatama still has not decided what action to take. He appreciated the courage and strength of Batur Barui, and even had plans to promote him to major. For him, developing some Dayak Tribe generals was important, as only true Dayak Tribe warriors could control their fellow tribesmen.

In addition, Ashwatama wanted to investigate further about their motives. One night in the tent of the commander of the Tiger Legion Region, a Military Intelligence officer reported the latest development.

"Commander, there's a new development regarding fish!" said the officer.

Ashwatama immediately left his war book and asked for a full report. The officer meticulously explained everything he had observed.

Upon hearing the report, Ashwatama sighed in disappointment, "It's a pity."

The officer looked puzzled, "Commander, aren't we looking at this matter too seriously?"

Aswatama shook his head firmly, "No. I am worried that the situation will get more complicated. I have no way to get them out of this area. If they decide to get out of the mountains, I will welcome them with open arms."

The officer heard the answer without expressing his views. He was merely an intel personnel and had no right to intervene in military decisions. Ashwatama also did not expect any further comment, only telling the officer to keep a close eye on them.

"Okay, Commander!" The officer then left the tent.
