Chapter 19 The Villain

"Look!"

Anika tried to call out the name of someone who was sleeping in her room.

"Look! You heard me, right? It´s me! Anika!"

Still no response.

Almost every day when there's a chance Anika does this, but never got an answer. Anika called out to him but never got a reaction.

It's like Kairi's dead.

Anika gives up and thinks about returning to work. When Anika turned her body about to leave from there, Kairi turned her head towards her.

Every Sunday Anika gets a night shift twice. For him the night shift was more fun than the day shift which was definitely busy all day.

At night he can work while studying. Because even a little person, he can be free to meet Kairi, just to greet him or monologue nearby.

Finished copying the report into the computer, Anika started to find out a little about Kairi. Today she got access to open her computer, so she took the opportunity.

Kairi has been to prison. But it looks like his behavior led him to be transferred to a mental hospital for rehabilitation. His unstable mentality continued to change.

Then the family responsible to him was named Ken Charlie A. Is that Kairi's father? His uncle?

Anika began to note what she thought was important, such as rehabilitation schedules, meeting sessions with family, diagnosis and check-ups. Kairi has been moved to this hospital for several months, about when should she be treated here? If he is allowed to go home and must live with his uncle who is also the disorder, where maybe Kairi can recover!

Soluble in his mind thinking of ways to help Kairi, making Anika unconscious with her time. The night shift ends at six in the morning. He immediately turned off the computer and prepared to go home.

The night before going to bed, Anika took her birth control pills and sleeping pills. Since she and her husband were diligent in sex, Anika routinely took the Pill because she did not want to get pregnant.

In fact, they had agreed to postpone the baby until their study was completed.

"When are you going to have children?" Yaslan who likes children actually disagreed with this delay. For him when the child has been entrusted by God, he must be ready to take care of him.

To her, Anika was her proud wife. He is strong but at the same time fragile. Despite having a dark past, she is always cheerful.

Lately you often wake up because of nightmares again, but today it seems like no problem.

Yaslan continued to gently caress his wife. Her beautiful face looks dreamy.

Without a second thought, Yaslan headed straight for his wife's workplace with a slight disguise. On arrival there he claimed to be a journalist who wanted to cover the hospital.

When asked to wait in the waiting room, Yaslan sneaked into the inpatient room.

From afar he saw his wife patiently and cheerfully comforting the patients. There was a patient who was angry himself, but Anika actually stroked him and coaxed him like a child. There was a patient who constantly told incessant stories, which Anika responded to patiently listening to every word.

Yaslan was very impressed with his wife who seemed to enjoy her work.

He knew that working in a mental hospital wasn't easy, that it took extra patience to deal with ODGJ patients. He had also heard that many people who worked there became stressed until beaten by patients.

But looking at the happy looking Anika, it seemed like she was too worried. He left the hospital immediately before being caught lying.

"What about your job?" yaslan asked as they were having dinner together outside.

Yaslan knew this was a rather sensitive topic. He did not want to be provoked by emotions, because it invited him to talk in a crowded place.

"It's normal, like any other job." Anika replied unsuspectingly.

Yaslan was a little disappointed his wife did not want more details. "Can you take care of the patient?"

"Yes sometimes. Only the patient is considered almost cured." Tumben he was interested in my work, Inner Anika was still unsuspecting and kept scooping her food.

The conversation began to enter the core of the conversation. "Are you being asked to take care of a patient named Kairi?"

A moment Anika looked at hearing Kairi's name called.

"No." she answered honestly. As if caught cheating, Anika did not dare to look into Yaslan's eyes.

"Why don't you tell me that depraved man is also being treated there?" Her tone began to rise making Anika even more afraid. Yaslan had never spoken to her like this.

"Sorry..." That's all he can say.

Yaslan exhaled a long breath. "You're not wrong, honey. I'm just worried about your safety! Even if he's your patient now, he's a criminal!" Yaslan started to slow down his voice. "You must remember, he was the one who kidnapped you."

Anika was well aware of that. But still his heart could not accept the reality. "I want to go home" she said finishing her meal.

On the way home, the two of them were silent. Upon arrival at home, Yaslan instantly pulled Anika into his arms. Anika knew this was her way of showing her affection, showing that she was not angry.

Anika returned her embrace.

I don't know what that psychopath did! yaslan in heart. But I won't let him brainwash you! I'll make you forget that bastard!!
