Chapter 54 Pregnancy

"How many months, son?"

An old grandmother who was buying fish in the store owned by Anika and her husband asked Anika's stomach which began to look enlarged.

"Oh, um, about five months, Grandma" she replied shyly because she was caught pregnant by her customers. Slowly she stroked her stomach, this time not because of the trauma but because of the happiness that had enveloped her.

Kairi returns after delivering meat orders to customers' homes. She saw the grannies who came to buy every day in their store and bowed in gratitude to her as they passed by.

For a year, the couple lived their lives in peace. In the morning they went to the city to open their shop, in the afternoon they went home and brought the rest of the merchandise to sell to the village.

Anika looked at Kairi who was now chopping meat with her big knife. When consciously noticed, Kairi replied to him with a smile and a kiss on the forehead. Anika was relieved, there was nothing strange about her. Sometimes she was afraid that this cutting activity was returning her psychopathic instincts, but it seemed like Anika was thinking too far.

In the evening Yuri sometimes comes to visit to discuss some difficult cases with her brother. It seems like they have often discussed together. Now that their living quarters were close together, Yuri often met him in person.

"Let's eat first, brother!" call Anika but Yuri is still staring at the documents before her. He then sat down beside Kairi and started eating as well.

Soon Yuri catches up with them for giving up her case. He sat down across from Kairi and picked up the salad in front of him.

"Don't take the meat, too?" anika asked astonished because Yuri only took a lot of vegetables. He only realized all along that if Yuri came to eat he only took fish and vegetables.

"I've long since retired from eating meat" he replied, devouring the fresh vegetables on his plate.

Anika thought maybe this was her way to suppress the appetite consuming her human body out. From what he knows, cannibalism usually also has a psychopathic personality such as feeling satisfied and great when eating the flesh of his victims. Cannibalism can also arise because since childhood feel acute loneliness that is ventured by eating the flesh of his fellow men so as not to feel alone.

Cannibalism certainly has a mental disorder. But Anika could not find the strangeness in Yuri's person, which made it difficult to analyze what mental disorders she suffered until it ate humans. Has he really stopped being a cannibal for a long time, or is he a psychopath who is good at hiding his true identity?

Yuri subconsciously stared at his brother to make him know himself. "All right, I'll go home first. The wife in the house must have asked to be pampered as well" he said rising up. "Tomorrow comes, right, Anika?"

"Yes! I'm there tomorrow morning!" He had promised Yuri to accompany his wife because their nanny could not come. This was the third time Anika had come to help.

Although he disagrees, Kairi allows his wife because she reasons that Anika wants to learn to take care of her child before her own baby is born. He actually wanted to close the store and take care of his wife. Since Anika became pregnant, Kairi has become more protective than usual.

Back when Anika first realized she was pregnant, she was actually scared and insecure. She continued to delay announcing it to Kairi until her husband finally found her. After driving his wife, Kairi went to work alone. Fortunately, Yuri's shop and house are not far away, making him feel calmer leaving his wife and future baby.

"If there's anything call me at any time," exclaimed Yuri before getting into her car. He looked at his old wife and kissed her before leaving for work.

After getting tired of playing, Irina fell asleep on the sofa. Anika picked it up and put it in the baby box. Jane also fell asleep on the couch.

Rather than Yuri, Anika more often sees the awkwardness in Jane. She often finds him suddenly falling asleep and experiencing dementia or senility. As far as Anika knows, Jane is younger than her.

"Well, I'll cook!" the thrill to yourself began to look for groceries in the refrigerator.

During this time he only found vegetables and fish in the refrigerator of Yuri's house because he was a vegetarian, but this time there was meat in the freezer that made her want to try cooking a meaty menu for Jane and her two-year-old son.
