Anika blinked a few times before understanding what she meant. Why did he know I never told him?

"It's just habit. I'm fine." replied Anika but Kairi kept looking at her sharply. "So you comforted me with a kiss?" he continued, laughing, thinking Kairi was paranoid just from trivial things.

Kairi knows Anika's trauma was accidentally opened by Yaslan first. Her biggest trauma impregnated by her own father to abort the poor fetus that makes Anika always hold her stomach when remembered.

To be sure, Kairi unzipped the back zipper of Anika's velvet dress until she could see her stomach unobstructed earlier.

Because she did not move, Anika stood up and pulled her hand forward. Kairi couldn't resist if his wife told him to.

The badge was pinned onto the pocket of Kairi's white shirt and all the guests present began clapping again. Yuri continuously praised him even recounting his sacrifice against the gangsters to the point of losing a hand and smashing his face, making all the guests giggle in awe and starting to respect Kairi.

In his heart, Kairi wanted to kill his sister.

Anika who stood some distance away among the crowd of guests stood up and smiled proudly at her husband. Kairi is like a hero behind the scenes, she deserves a lot of praise.

"Your husband is very great" said Jane congratulated Anika who actually felt like she was still a stranger spelled husband by someone else.

"Your husband is also great," Anika replies suddenly realizing Jane's awkward finger.

Two fingers on his left hand were missing.

Anika started to imagine the no-no. When does her husband eat?!

Realizing that Jane laughed lightly. "I was so careless when cooking, that it was forbidden for Yuri."

Anika nodded as if understanding, but suspiciously looked at the watch worn on her right hand. Anika believes Jane is left-handed because of the man. If he cooks with his left hand, how does his left finger get cut off?

Jane married a cannibal psychopath, is she aware of that? Or is he a victim who knows nothing? Anika wanted to help him, but she was also scared. She kept looking at Jane while thinking of helping her, let alone the couple having children.
