Ch. 109: Faced with a Choice

Moments ago, coinciding with the start of the discussion between Shohei and the team he had just formed, a man was busy dancing while holding a champagne bottle on the stage of the nightclub. Surrounded by a lot of beautiful, sexy girls, she's like a star tonight.

"Everyone, let's party tonight! I'll pay you all your drinks!" he shouted the man to everyone present.

Satisfied with dancing while having fun with some women, the man descended from the dance floor towards the bar table. He approached a British woman who had been sitting over there with a bottle of white wine.

"Haru-chan," called the man named Yuta while embracing the woman from behind.

The woman brushed aside Yuta's hand. "What do you mean squandering all the money? You gave me my share just a little, but you're actually pleasing your girlfriend and the people who are here!" his grunts held back in annoyance.

"Eittss, why are you so mad at me? The money I earned this time was the result of my hard work alone, not cooperation with you or the team. So, I'm free to use the money as I please, including spending it all at once," Yuta presses cynically while drinking the remaining wine in Haru's glass.

"Hey, did you forget who promoted you to that office? If it wasn't me posing as the hostest and introducing you as a hacker to that man, where might your skills be used by them!" Haru reminds back to when he pretended to be Eita Kaze's drinking buddy. Yeah, that's where it all started. Secretary Kazuya Toda told him he was looking for a professional hacker. Haru then introduces Yuta to Kazuya Toda so that cooperation is established between them.

Yuta re-embraced Haru, trying to persuade his partner and said, "Calm down, dear Haru-chan! We'll get more money. I managed to find a treasure site that had been stored neatly all this time. I'll assemble our old team to undertake this great mission. We'll be as rich as we used to be!"

"Just talk to drunk people!" Haru is further upset that Yuta is saying something that makes no sense.

"Did he really live here?" muttered Yuta while looking at the apartment building that is allegedly the residence of Rai now. Yes, a month ago he had asked his men to find out where Rai lived now. Because Rai's whereabouts are difficult to investigate, his men also keep an eye on Ryo and managed to find the residence of their former chairman.

Still staring at the situation around through the car glass, suddenly his gaze was directed at the figure of a proportional man who was walking with a young girl. Now, only the two of them were left standing opposite each other. Instantly the atmosphere of the night was hot when the two people who were once very close were now reunited.

"Is he your girlfriend?" yuta asked as he looked at Yuriko who had just vanished from his sight. Seeing Rai who was just flinching, he then chuckled. "Rai, your woman's taste is declining! But ... With your situation as it is now, he's not too bad for you" he continued, showing off a provocative smile.

"Why did you come here?" tanya Rai was flat with a cooling face.

"Come on, we're best friends, aren't we? It's only natural that I visit my best friend!" yuta replied as if he had forgotten the betrayal he had committed to Rai.

Yuta stared at the fiery bead Rai while smiling faintly. He even slipped a business card in Rai's pocket. "It does not feel fair, yes .. we all live shuffled, in contrast to Ryo who has a good career. I wouldn't nudge him if you rejoined us. I need you on this great mission. Meet me at the place on the business card. I'll give you until the five-day deadline."
