Ch. 73: Dating Driver

Shohei came to the morgue and saw the condition of the body. There, there was Seto Tanaka who had been accompanying him. Shohei squinted his eyes as he stared at the nurse girl's corpse intently.

"There was a bruise on his neck. It looks like someone attacked the victim before falling down" Seto Tanaka said, showing the bruises.

Shohei noticed a grayish-blue bruise on the victim's neck. "My guy must have martial skills. Judging from the bruising of the victim, this is a crime that exploits physical weakness."

"I think it's like that too."

"Let the investigation team figure out who the people around him are, including the Hospital employees who are good at martial arts!"

"Ready!" Seto Tanaka.

Shohei came out of the mortuary. He picked up his phone and contacted Rai to ask him for martial arts training later in the afternoon.

This afternoon, the blue sky began to sink because it was picked up in the afternoon. After regular training, Shohei and Rai again discussed plans for the ninth target mission and the death of Hiroo Metropolitan Hospital nurse.

The long-awaited date has arrived. Shohei and Seina agreed to meet at the city park. Not far from there, Rai had already arrived and hid behind a tree while monitoring the two. In his hand was a small binocular. He used it to monitor them.

Both Rai and Shohei installed mini-sized earpieces that were useful as their communication tools.

"She's come, about where should I take her?" shohei asked who saw Seina waving at him while throwing the most beautiful smile.

"Don't rush! Take him for a leisurely walk around the park while having a little chat." Rai started guiding their date. He returned to using his binoculars.

Ten minutes passed. Seeing the two who were both silent without any chatter, made Rai's face shrivel instantly.

"Are they dating or going to the grave? Why so quiet and sober?" Rai scratched his head while still monitoring the couple through his binoculars.

Yes, Rai and Shohei's courtship style is certainly very different. Unlike Shohei who dates in amusement parks, attractions, or eats at restaurants, Rai prefers to spend time having fun in bed with his date.

"Hey, talk to melt the atmosphere," said Rai giving instructions through the earpiece.

Shohei who heard then cleared his throat to neutralize his voice.

"The view is beautiful, yes!" Shohei began to open up the chatter to throw off the silence that shackled them.

Rai grinned with one narrowed eye. "Where do you call the view? What you're doing right now is an open field with nothing."

"Eh, ah, I mean .. sky view!" Shohei pointed straight up.

Both Seina and Rai looked up.

"What's beautiful?" Rai revealed a sour face looking at the sky which was covered in thick clouds.

"It looks like it's snowing tonight!" seina said after looking up.

"Yes, you're right!" keep Shohei.

Shohei and Seina again take a walk around the small lake, where there are many maple trees around. Meanwhile, Rai still continued to follow them secretly. For a moment, Shohei looked back only to find out where his partner was.

Rai brandished the ring symbol towards him while saying, "Let's hold his hand affectionately!"

Just about to touch Seina's hand, the girl swiped her palms instead. "Cold like this, it seems very fitting to eat warm."

"True, too" Shohei replied briefly.

"Eh, what kind of response is that? Can't you interpret the sentence?" Rai again said through the earpiece connection, "meaning he wishes you would take him to eat somewhere. Quickly invite him to eat together! Ask her preferred restaurant so she feels like you're always putting her desires first."

Hearing this, Shohei gave a small nod and turned to Seina. "What if we eat now?"

Seina looked happily at Shohei while nodding. "May too!"

"Where do you want to eat at the restaurant?"

"How about a Chinese restaurant?"

Shohei seemed to think. "I'm sorry, but I'm avoiding fatty foods."

"Then, what about Italian restaurants?"

Shohei's eyes glared for a while, then lowered his head politely as he said, "Lately I've been solving cases, so I avoid heavy meals that make it hard for my brain to work."

"Ah, I just remembered! There's a good sushi restaurant!" exclaimed Seina while pointing her index finger upwards.

Shohei broke his neck to the side. "Hhmm .. but .. I've been eating sushi for two days in a row. So, I want to try eating another one. Sorry," Shohei refused with courtesy.

Rai laughed wryly with both eyebrows barely connecting. "Is he doing a woman's patience test?" Rai clucked his tongue. Somehow he was the one who was upset by all of Shohei's answers.

"Gum." Shohei nodded.

Rai patted his forehead firmly. "When this is what is it to ask for his opinion? Why not just take him there and waste time asking questions and answers like a smart person.

Shohei immediately invited Seina to his recommendation cafe. Yes, he found out about this cafe through a promotion on social media a few days ago. Some of the customers were young people who were the same age as Seina.

Rai also sat at a table not far from Shohei and Seina. He deliberately took a sitting position where Seina turned her back.

"Remember, as long as you eat the dish, you should open the chat first. Like, discussing his hobbies and likes or it could be about the future of your relationship" Rai explained.

Shohei nodded in understanding.

Rai was still monitoring the pair of lovers. He seemed not interested in ordering anything.

"Yuriko-chan, we'll just sit here!" The voices of some girls were heard from behind.

Rai twisted her body quickly when she heard the name Yuriko called. Suddenly, he was aghast with enlarged eyeballs when he saw Yuriko with her friends had just arrived at the restaurant.

Oh, my gosh, in my life now Tokyo has become really narrow!

Rai turned his head back towards Shohei who was sitting three tables away from him. He imagined Yuriko hit Seina until she grabbed the girl's hair because it was thought to have captured the man of his heart. Moreover, all this time he knew Yuriko was very infatuated with Shohei. Honestly, he also did not want to break the girl's feelings for his best friend.

Not wanting Yuriko to see Shohei on a date with her lover, Rai hurriedly approached her.

"Yuri-yuri!" call Rai while approaching.

Yuriko then gasped to see Rai's presence in that place.

"Eh? Yuri-chan, who is she? How handsome?" whispered his friends while staring at Rai with an enchanted look.

Rai greeted Yuriko's friends warmly.

"Yuri-chan, is he the guy you used to tell us about?" ask one of his friends.

"Yuri-chan, is he a man you're close to?" talk to his other friend.

"Yuri-chan, he's that kind-hearted guy you're appraising, right?" add another one.

The whispers of Yuriko's friends sounded quite clear in Rai's ears. The man commented a smile while looking back to look towards Shohei. Yes, the position he was standing at this moment was deliberately to cover Shohei from Yuriko's sight.

One of Yuriko's friends immediately introduced himself in front of Rai.

Rai immediately embraces Yuriko, deliberately twisting the girl's body so as not to see Shohei.

"I'm Yuri's neighbor."

"Huh? Her neighbor?" The four friends of Yuriko looked shocked.

"Ah, he means neighbor of the apartment. You know for yourself that I've moved into a luxury apartment now," Yuriko said.

"Well, really? You must be a corporate employee, huh?" guess one of Yuriko's friends while watching Rai's appearance from top to bottom.

Rai shuddered in shock. However, Yuriko immediately stomped her feet.

"I just don't want you to be underestimated by my friends." Yuriko whispered back while stepping on the foot of the man beside her.

Rai endured the pain for the second time.

"I'm Matsui Rai. Yuriko and I are very close like sisters. So close I knew about Yuriko's bad habits that many people didn't know about. Didn't we?" Rai threw a big smile towards Yuriko.

Hearing Rai's statement, Yuriko's eyes glared sharply to the point of wanting to get out of her sockets followed by wrinkled lips.

"Are you really close? Well, Yuriko if we are very closed, she rarely tells us about her life" said one of her friends.

"Why don't we just talk while eating together?" Another friend suddenly invited Rai to join.

"Ah, no!" reject Yuriko quickly while releasing Rai's embrace. "let's find another cafe. I heard the food here is not good!" yuriko said to her comrades as she walked towards the door.

Yosh! That's exactly what I was expecting! Hurry up so you don't bother the dating Shohei!

Something unexpected happens when two of Yuriko's friends forcefully pull Rai, while the two of them pull Yuriko's hand. They were forcibly seated.

"Since we're here, why should we go? After all, we want to know what your real relationship is like!" said the four Yuriko friends while sitting in front of the two of them.

Rai and Yuriko stared at each other with wide eyes and bated breath. Not yet finished their period of shock, one of Yuriko's friends took a menu book and wrote a number of their ordered meals.

"Matsui-san, as regards your introduction, how about you treat us?" cetus Yuriko's.

"Then I will order the most expensive menu," continued the others while seizing the menu book.

Rai immediately gulped roughly with unblinking eyes. Instantly, it became hiccups. While Yuriko seemed to close her eyes while biting her lower lip.
