ch. 142: Shot

An hour earlier, the secret forces that Kazuya Toda had formed brought Yuta after Rai informed the location of their meeting. Once there, one of them handed him a gun before releasing it.

"You know what you have to do, right?"

Yuta nodded without a sound. They also put a GPS chain on his leg so he could not escape.

"We'll be watching you!"

"Ba—what if he's not the Black Shadow you're referring to? Te–my friend is not that great, she ... has never been interested in politics nor has she mastered martial arts." Yuta said stammeringly with a clear-sounding trembling voice.

Yuta took the gun and kept it behind a jacket after getting out of the car. During his seven years in the world of deception, he has faced a wide variety of targets. Though he had thought deceiving officials would be very easy to escape once he held his US card. However, it turned out that he had actually mis-selected the target!

Now, he and Rai faced each other. The man stared stiffly at him. While he threw a cold gaze back while brandishing the gun with the index finger that was right on the trigger.

Instead of being surprised by what Yuta did, Rai instead casually pocketed his hands with a slanted smile. Seeing Yuta's face filled with bruises, he could already guess what had happened to him.

"I suspected! You must be so desperate that you did this! If you know this, I should be wearing a bulletproof suit." Rai looked up for a moment, then exhaled deeply. "I'm not fucking your lover. We just spent the night telling stories. I used to want to use it to steal safe room information from you. But I can't" he said, wetting his lips.

"So .. Are you really Black Shadow?" yuta asked unexpectedly, but was not surprised either.

Rai sighed again while throwing a look. "Ne, Yuta! You better put that gun down! You're not very suitable to hold it. Your hands are shaking like that" he scorned.

"Whisper!" yuta shouted in a wavy voice, "I'll count to three!"

Rai laughed cynically. "Ne, Yuta-chan, I know you for over ten years and we lived together for seven years. We are the outcasts. We started everything together, fought and enjoyed the results together. Even before Ryo, Haru and the others joined in. We've only been separated this past year. All that time, I never hated you. Not once!"

"Stop talking!" yuta shouted while holding back tears. Rai's words seemed to force him to recall their togetherness. The same kind of togetherness that he missed.

The two men were suddenly caught in silence. There were only two pairs of eyes looking at each other in a lara.

Yuta closed his eyes deeply. "Come ...." The man's voice sounded hoarse and weak.

Rai shook and did not shift in the slightest.

"I told you to run if you don't want to die in my hands!" he shouted emotionally while lowering the gun.

"Why don't we run away together? Wouldn't it be better" Rai said slowly as he extended his hand forward.

Unfortunately, not a minute after Rai said that, a bullet from a distance of two hundred meters shot right into the heart of his best friend. Fresh blood was immediately imprinted on his jacket. It was all very sudden. Yuta held onto his chest that was gushing blood, then fell stumbled for a moment.

Looking at Yuta who had just been shot right before him, making a pair of Rai eyes widen followed by a tightened, stiff and shocked face at the same time.

"Yuta!" rai shouted while running towards him.

"Rai, run away from here!" yuta Shouts.

The sniper hit the head of the masked man with his gun. Unfortunately, his weapon was instead thrown and each attack was so easy for masked men to fend off. Instead, the man attacked him with a lock turning his head to the side of his shoulder. This deadly technique of judo martial arts, made the sniper unable to fight until he fainted.

The masked man turned out to be Kei who actually came with Rai. He waits in the car, when Rai and Yuta meet. When the sound of gunshots was heard, his eyes shimmered rapidly throughout the building around it. Sure enough, not far from where he stood, there was a sniper hiding and focusing on the second shot. He immediately went there and knocked out the sniper as seen today.

Rai approached Yuta who had been covered in blood. "Can you hold on? I'll take you to the hospital now!" he said in a panic as he was about to raise Yuta to his back. However, the man instead held his hand.

"Rai, go! Quick run ... before .. they finish you!"

Rai shakes. "I told you I'd take you out together. Get on my back!"

Yuta hissed the sentence with great difficulty. "I don't know .. if this is useful to you. I ... kept a file that I managed to track while working with the person who asked me to hack the Black Shadow broadcast. From the file that I know the treasure of the office stored in the safe room. The file is still on my laptop. The code is still the same as before. Come to the bar and bring the laptop."

A heartbreaking roar filled the place. Rai shook the lifeless body as if he was about to resuscitate it. Suddenly, a few bullets came out of the pocket of the jacket that Yuta was wearing. Rai shook for a moment while picking up a single bullet that had just fallen. He rushes to get the gun that Yuta brought, then opens the magazine. Blank. That is, the gun that Yuta pointed at him a while ago, no bullets alias has been emptied.

Apparently, before brandishing the gun towards Rai, he had first pulled out the bullet. Even though he betrayed his best friend, in fact he did not have the heart to kill him. Unfortunately, the stunt secretly took out bullets from the gun, apparently spotted by Kazuya Toda's men monitoring them from afar. As a result, a hot bullet first spewed towards him. Although in fact, he would also be killed if he had killed Rai.

Rai immediately remembered Yuta's hand movement while aiming the gun. The man seemed to be sending a danger signal. Actually, when calling Rai, Yuta really asked her to help him to meet him. Not to trap him, but rather so that Rai can help him escape from Kazuya Toda's people. The trick to escape like that, they once did when deceiving the Triad gang leader in Hong Kong. Shortly after, a car stopped not far from him. The driver's door opened, revealing Kei who had come calling Rai.

"Rai, let's go! They're on their way here!" kei shouted in a bit of panic.

Rai looked indifferent to Kei's orders. He continued to shake the body of his best friend, trying to make him wake up again.

"Rai, come!"

Rai still ignored him. Kei understood the man's sadness and could only sigh in silence. But a second later, his eyes widened as he saw the cars from the special division heading towards them.
