Ch. 25: Ready to Get Engaged

After meeting Shohei and handing him the provisions, Rai returned to his apartment. When passing through Yuriko's room, the door suddenly opened and the girl suddenly appeared.

"Have you delivered that to the police?"

"Yes, I have," answered Rai modestly.

"Keep he said what?"

"Please tell him, Arigatou gozaimasu," said Rai imitating Shohei's style of speech.

"Then you didn't say anything about me?"

Rai shook without making a sound.

"At least you're a little proud of me in front of him, let him be interested in me!" yuriko said with a sullen face.

"Oh, if I did that."

"really? What did you tell him about me?" ask Yuriko impatiently.

"I said Yuriko was a kind, gentle, loving, and good at cooking."

Yuriko's face changed instantly. He pursed his lips, followed by two enlarged eyes and a broadened nose. He then closed the door again.

"Hey, you should be thanking me, I'm tired of delivering that stock without even a Yen fee!" rai shouted while grinning.

Yuriko opened the door again. "Oh, yes, I forgot! Arigatou. Although sometimes your words make no sense and often make me upset, but you always help me," he said.

Rai only smiled knots while raising both of his eyebrows.

Of course I'm doing this just imaging. I know which Shohei might like you because he already has a potential fiancee. I can't wait to see when you're heartbroken, and come looking for me ....

"Tanaka-san, have you had lunch?"

Shohei lifted the food from Yuriko. "This is for you."

"It's actually someone for me, but I have an invitation to lunch outside."

"Arigatou gozaimasu." Seto Tanaka looks happy.

"Don't forget tonight you're on patrol with me!" shohei said as he stood up leaving his chair.

In a different place, a man sat in his great chair while watching the warmest news of the morning. The man's eyes flashed sharply, with hardened jaws and bulging teeth. How not, the news broadcast featuring the action of Black Shadow who again managed to uncover the dark side of public officials.

Moreover, the narrator in the news said this was the seventh time Black Shadow had preceded the police force and managed to uncover the stripes of officials. The news also showed Fukamu Hiromi's apology to the entire public for his son's actions. As a result, he announced his resignation from the office of Vice Chairman of the Senate.

"Black Shadow's! You really want to challenge me!" the man murmured after watching the news.

Hearing the suggestion from the person, made the man smile wickedly while linking his fingers on the table.

"Please get my car ready, I have an appointment with someone" said the old man who holds one of the government posts.

Shohei exited the study, then got into the elevator which led him to the ground floor of the building. He took his salary and opened a search site to find dating recommendations. Yes, tomorrow is her date with Seina. However, until now he did not have a place they would visit. For a moment, he recalled the moment when Inspector Heiji leaked his relationship with the son of the Minister of Justice. Remembering that, he made her smile.

Upon arriving at the restaurant where he and Mr. Matsumoto met, Shohei was aghast that Seina was there.

"Sorry, late," Shohei said as he sat beside Seina.

"It's okay. Me and Papa had also just arrived," Seina replied smiling sweetly as usual.

"How's your job? Is there a big case you're investigating?" ask Mr. Matsumoto to open the chat.

"Yes, as always," Shohei replied.

"I heard that the task of the investigator has been slightly reduced since there was a masked human phenomenon," mister Matsumoto joked, chuckling, "Who, yes, his name? I forgot." Mr. Matsumoto looked at the window while trying to remember.

"Black Shadow?" shohei.

"Yes, that's it!" mister Matsumoto chuckled again.

Hearing the name Black Shadow called, making Seina's face stiff instantly. He was frozen. Even moving the tip of her nails was difficult. There, his brain again flushed back the incident as he and the mysterious man kissed.

"Hey, you're a cop, what do you think of Black Shadow?" Mr. Matsumoto throws a question at Shohei.

"I support anyone in upholding justice as long as it does not violate the law. Although the way was different, but he had a good goal," Shohei replied spontaneously without hesitation.

"You're right. I thought so too. I think you will feel disturbed by his presence that shifts the position of famous detectives like you in the eyes of the public," said Mr. Matsumoto with a small laugh.

The man's response made a big smile on Seina's lips. I don't know why he was happy. Could it be because Shohei is very objective in judging, or because his lover praised the man who has succeeded in making him curious in recent days. He clasped Shohei's hand, making the man gasp. However, the next second Shohei also returned Seina's hand while linking their fingers.

"Oh, yes, what about the relationship between the two of you? Looks like you two are compatible with each other." Mr. Matsumoto switched the conversation while looking at the two.

"It just so happens that there's something I want to tell you, Master," Shohei said slightly nervously as she looked at Seina.

"What's that?"

"I accepted Master's proposal wanting both of us to get engaged. I'm ready to live with Seina."

That speech made Seina jump. He spontaneously let go of his hand.
