Never Not
Ch. 117: Love, be Loved. Leave, be Left

"Why did Rai suddenly decide to rejoin? I don't think he's someone you can easily influence" Haru asked in surprise.

Yuta breathed heavily. "He needs a lot of money."

Yuta regressed his memory a few hours ago, just after he found out the man who helped him was Rai.

"I will join you again and lead your mission but on one condition!" said Rai with eyes that did not playfully.

"What's that?"

"I need two million Yen now!"

He scrunched his forehead. Two million yen was certainly quite a lot for him. Moreover, his finances began to thin due to fiddling.

"If you can't give me now, don't expect me to work with you again!" firmly Rai.

Without weighing again, he immediately said, "Okay. I still have money left over, I'll give it to you entirely. Besides you helped me tonight, I almost can't see any more lovers."

At that time, he and Rai immediately made a deal. Yuta immediately gave him two million Yen. Instead, Rai will go down directly to perform a fraud mission planned by Yuta and their team.

On the other hand, Shohei's eyes immediately looked into the entire room which only contained traditional folding mattresses and cabinets attached to the wall. He took the phone, then activated it. Since returning home from Seina's house in shock, he did not check his salary at all. Now, voice messages from the girl are coming in a row. In the message, Seina asked him to meet to talk about many things.

Instead of contacting Seina immediately, Shohei put his phone back down, without replying to a single incoming message. He lay down and tried to close his eyes even though he was not yet sleepy. However, he suddenly remembered the last message of the late Matsumoto who asked him to keep and marry his only daughter. Just then, the voice of Seina's expression of her feelings for Black Shadow and the voice of Rai's answer that did not directly justify it all also haunted her mind and hit her auditory canal. The voices overlapped in his ears as if making fun of his dilemma self.

Honestly, until this moment he could not decide anything related to his relationship with Seina. Whether to go ahead and marry her, or choose to end. He had prepared a wedding ring and a place to stay for the girl. Evidence if he really dreamed of living with Seina.

Really, he wanted to keep his promise to the late Matsumoto. However, on the other hand, he still could not accept Seina's dishonesty for what she had done with Black Shadow behind her all this time.

His mind was getting tangled when he found out that Yuriko had been harboring feelings for him all this time. Undeniably, he really enjoyed a day with the girl. He almost forgot that he was heartbroken. Now, which one will be his life choice going forward?

Not noticeably, the new day has welcomed cheerfully. The sun perched on the blue sky, silent and emitting warm temperatures that make people move with joy. Cherry blossoms have bloomed in all directions, as a symbol of the beauty of spring.

Yuriko and Shohei are getting ready to return to Tokyo. However, before going to the port, Yuriko took the time to visit her father in the hospital.

"Where was your friend yesterday?" ask Mr. Aizawa.

"He's waiting outside." Yuriko turned to the window, looking at Shohei who was standing still under the sakura tree.

Mr. Aizawa touched his son's hand gently. "I'm grateful you're surrounded by good people."

Yuriko nodded with a faint smile. Yes, no doubt, Shohei is indeed kind. The man not only helped him get a wheelchair donation, but also paid the cost of the Hospital that was not insured.

"Among those two men, does anyone like you or maybe you like?" ask Yuriko's father suddenly.

Yuriko frowned in confusion as she repeated her father's words. "Two men?"

"Ah, I forgot to tell you! The day before you and that cop came, there was a guy who came to see me first. He claims to live next door to you in a small apartment."

At this moment, Yuriko's pupils widened instantly. Just at the same time, the doctor along with several nurses entered the room. Yuriko's father gets a chance at first because he is in the first ward.

"How are you doing today, Aizawa-san?" greet the doctor while installing a stethoscope in the ear.

"Makes better than before. This is thanks to Sensei and the nurses" said Mr. Aizawa gratefully.

The doctor smiled kindly, then said, "Your life will definitely get better with the help of a robotic leg. You'll be able to walk like any other human."

"So ... what you said yesterday that was, right? Is there someone who will cover the cost of installing a prosthetic leg?" asked Mr. Aizawa stammering, between believing and not.

Doctor nodded. "You're very lucky to have received this favor from a donor. But, we still need your consent and your family's. Is your wife here?"

Instantly, Yuriko's face changed. "Tu—wait, what does Sensei mean by robot legs? Si–who's a donor?" tanyanya fast.

"Are you Aizawa-san's family?" ask the doctor about Yuriko.

"Yes, he's my son, Sensei," said Mr. Aizawa, "my wife is a fisherman, she's by the sea right now."

"Then can you come with me to the consultation room? We need to talk about the procedure of installing the robot foot."

An hour later, Yuriko came out of the patient's consul's room. He walked with a very stiff face. Between shock and disbelief. All the doctor's explanations about the robotic leg installation procedure are still clearly stuck in his brain. Unfortunately, doctors can not tell the identity of someone who has granted his dream so far. As he remembered, he had only ever told Rai that wish.

Yuriko came out of the hospital building. Shohei's mocking smile immediately greeted him. For a moment, the question his father was asking came back to his mind.

"Among those two men, does anyone like you or maybe you like?"

Returning from the hospital, they left for the port. The whistle had rung loudly, a sign that the ship was about to depart. Both standing on the deck of the ship at a distance apart, Shohei and Yuriko seemed to sink with their respective thoughts.

"Yuriko-chan," called out to Shohei gently.

Yuriko turned her head slowly, looking at Shohei with hair that was fluttering in the sea breeze.

"May I tell you something?" ask the man.

"Please!" reply Yuriko with a smile.

Shohei looked at Yuriko with a deep look. "After calming down in your hometown, I felt like I was gaining new strength. It's all thanks to you being by my side."

Yuriko averted her eyes while blushing in embarrassment.

"But ..." continued Shohei, "I'm sorry, I can't return your feelings."

At that very second, the smile on Yuriko's lips gradually disappeared.

"I really appreciate our relationship like this. And I hope we'll always be like this. You deserve to be loved by someone who is sincere, not by making yourself an alternative or an escape option" Shohei said in a raspy tone of voice.

"I understand" said Yuriko. He laughed a little. More precisely, forcing me to laugh. "It turns out this is what it feels like to be rejected" he said, raising his head.

"Relance ...." Shohei looked down helplessly.

"Daejoubu desu (It's okay) .. As long as you're not as fragile as yesterday, it makes me happy."

"really. I should have put aside personal feelings. There's more to it than just the heartbreak I've been through. I should have survived for a little while, at least until this mission was over."

"Once in a while being selfish is okay. We are human beings not angels" Yuriko said in response to Shohei's statement.

Shohei. "I've done it. Because of my selfishness .. I forgot my main mission. I also left a newly formed team. I broke the friendship I built. Also forget my promise to someone."

"Are you going to go back to your girlfriend?"

Shohei gave a small nod while thinning his lips. "My place is not here, but by his side. Protect and protect it. I have to keep my promise to marry her.

"But he hurt you, right?" Yuriko's voice slightly rose, "I don't care about you not being able to return my feelings. All I care about is yourself. Live only once, while getting married for the long term. Therefore, do not waste your time with the wrong person," he said full of worry.

"I can also be wrong in his eyes" said Shohei, "because life does not always talk about rainbows that appear after rain. Like a morning that is not always bright even though the sun has risen."

Yuriko. He then walked quickly to Shohei while thrusting his fist towards the man. "Whatever you decide, I will always support you" he said, thinning his lips.

"August ...." Shohei also thrust his fist until the fist of the two intersected with each other and ended up doing a handshake¹ homie.

The two then both looked at the sparkling blue expanse of sea water. Shohei turned his gaze upwards, looking at the sky whose color was in harmony with the color of the sea water.

In this world there are some things that quickly pass including feelings. I was hoping it would happen to me, but unfortunately my feelings chose to settle in with him and not to move on to another.
