Ch. 65: Go Bringing Guilt

Seina ran over Rai who had walked first. Rai was stunned when the girl was directly in front of him and blocked his steps.

"Hajimemashite, my name is Matsumoto Seina. Can I be your friend?" Seina re-introduced herself after learning her boyfriend's real name.

Rai looked at the smooth white hand that was pointing at him. The man's hand moved hesitantly, but not to shake Seina's hand but to extend her index finger. It did not feel like the show had closed with boisterous applause. Seina and Rai left the audience. As he was about to exit the building, there was the sound of someone calling Seina's name repeatedly. Seina looked back and widened her smile. Apparently he is his best friend who plays the stage. Seina approached her friend who was at the end of the upper stairs. Rai was waiting for him on the stairs.

"Seina-chan, arigatou, you want to come watch my performance!" exclaim his best friend while hugging.

The view of his best friend turned to Rai who was glued down there.

"Seina-chan, who is that guy?" ask her best friend who had seen the man walking in tandem with Seina.

Seina did not answer, her eyes were on Rai who was still staring down there.

"Seina-chan, don't tell me you cheated on your girlfriend! I know you want to cancel your engagement, but—"

Seina hurriedly shut her best friend's mouth so as not to be heard by Rai.

"He's my boyfriend's best friend" whispered Seina.

"Huh? So you're having an affair with your boyfriend's best friend?" His friend was shocked.

Down there, it turns out Rai has heard everything, including the words of his friend who had said Seina's desire to cancel the engagement. It made him feel more guilty. He turned his head for a moment towards Seina who was still whispering with her friend.

Satisfied talking to her friend, Seina gasped when looking ahead. Rai is no more. He rushed down the stairs and searched for the man.

It turned out that the man had been outside the building and was busy holding his phone. Seina sighed, then stepped towards the grounded Rai at this moment.

Seina turned around, Shohei's face with a distinctive smile entered her gaze. The man approached her and bowed completely.

"I'm sorry for being late. I thought I could still join you guys, it turned out that everything had disbanded after I came."

"It's okay. Like this I am happy. Arigatou ne, because you're trying to keep me looking at my friend's appearance." Seina held Shohei's hand so that the man would not bend down before her.

"Thank God. I'm happy for you. By the way, where's Rai?"

"You mean ... Matsui-san?"

Shohei nodded with his head turned left and right to look for Rai's whereabouts. Seina immediately turned to the back. His eyes clashed with Rai who was among the crowd of people.

Instead, Shohei rushed into his pocket when his phone rang a notification of an incoming message.

"He just sent a message. He said he accidentally met his sister here and they were going home together. He also said the car keys were tucked in your bag." Shohei raised his gawai, showing the message that Rai had just sent.

"Eh?" Seina was aghast and immediately checked the contents of her bag. Right, there's a Shohei car key inside. "Oh, sokka ...." Seina nodded stiffly with a tail of eyes that glanced towards Rai. (Sokka: oh begono)

"Then let's get to the car!" take Shohei while holding Seina's hand.

"Hum," nods Seina.

"Are you thirsty?" shohei asked showing his attention.

"No," Seina replied shaking her head.

Seina turned her head slowly, turning her head back towards Rai. Apparently, the man's shadow had gradually dissipated from his eye sludge.

One thing that astonished Seina, what she saw was not what Shohei said. The man looked alone as he left them.

"I just found out that your best friend ...." Seina stopped her speech.

"Why Rai?" shohei asked.

Seina shook her head. "I mean I'm happy to meet your best friend" he said with a smile.

Actually, Seina wanted to say that she did not think Rai was a speechless person. However, it felt unethical so he was not stopped to say it. He and Shohei are now starting to move in the opposite direction to Rai's departure.
