Ch. 121: The Secret File

Forgetting for a moment the pain in his heart, Shohei immediately said to Seina. "Can I borrow your laptop?"

Seina nodded then took her laptop quickly. Shohei sat at the girl's desk with a laptop in front of her. The man directly inserted the flash into the USB port. The veins around his temple sprung up, signifying how tense he was. Could this be the bright spot for Kazuya Toda's decay?

Once the contents of the flash are read and appear on the screen, the man with glasses was impatient to immediately open the folder box stored in the flash. There's only one file there that says "Secret_file—>".

Shohei then moves the cursor to press the file to find out its contents. Furthermore, he and Seina instead put on a confused face when the only file on the flash contained only the logo of the justice ministry.

"Logo?" Shohei's forehead surged out instantly.

Seina, who was surprised, then said, "Don't, papa just wants to ask you to print the logo of his office," he said, although not sure. Because, when giving it, Mr. Matsumoto did not say anything but advised to give the flash to his lover.

Shohei shook with eyes still stuck on the laptop screen. He was certainly disappointed because the contents of the file did not meet his expectations. He had thought, if in the flash it might be stored a proof that had been kept by his future father-in-law.

"Eitherway! This is not what I predicted. You see, I feel your father knows a big secret. That's why he was killed" Shohei said with a heavy sigh.

Seina was aghast for a moment. "Big secret?"

"Yes, this is just my guess. The real target of Black Shadow is not your father. But something intentionally made your father look like he was the target of that man. The goal, to eradicate both at once."

The sentence that Shohei had just uttered, made him recall the contents of Black Shadow's letter the other day. Where the man stressed that he did not commit theft and for something bad that happened in the future, out of his control.

Shohei closed the file, which only contained the logo of the justice ministry. However, a second later, Shohei's eyes instead shimmered golden, "Wait!"

Shohei looked back at a file containing a logo called "File_secret—>". His eyes caught an arrow line at the end of the name that leads to the left side of the folder. He immediately moved the cursor right next to the folder. The eyes of the lovers were round in disbelief when they found a hidden file with no name that was transparent and could only be known when touched by the cursor.

"Hidden file?" call Seina dumbfounded.

Shohei and Seina looked at each other. Holding his breath, Shohei pressed the file to open it. Unfortunately, a small box appears on the screen as the file is pressed. The two were aghast when the small box contained a command to fill in a password consisting of four secret numbers.

"Did your father tell you the password for this file?" ask Shohei quickly.

Seina shook her head. Shohei rubbed his face violently. It's free to have this important file, if you don't know the password. They won't be able to figure out the contents of the secret file.

"Seina-chan, do you know your father's date of birth?"

Seina nodded and immediately told. Shohei fills the date and month of Mr. Matsumoto's birth into a password. Unfortunately, the number is wrong.

"Do you know any important or perhaps special numbers in your father's eyes?

Seina seemed to think. "What about my parents' wedding date?"

"We try first!" Shohei again pressed the number that Seina gave.

It failed! The file is not open yet. Even though they had fiddled with pressing some number combinations, it was still wrong and could not open.

Shohei was annoyed, while Seina just bit her fingertips while trying to second-guess the contents of the password.

"We can't open it!" Shohei massaged his temple in frustration.

Gazing at the gamang of the laptop screen, Seina said weakly. "What is the content of this file? What does papa know? What is he trying to hide?"

Shohei turned his head weakly towards Seina. His mind floated back as Jun said that Mr. Matsumoto asked that his senpai not interfere, and let him himself expose the case. Then, the former justice minister left this flash to Seina and told her to give it to him. Later, Mr. Matsumoto also asks her to please his daughter right on the day of their last meeting. Wasn't there already too much trust that man had given her?

Shohei gently grasped Seina's hand, then said, "Don't worry, everything will definitely become clear. Black is black. White will also look white."

"Arigatou. I am counting on you so much" Seina replied as she returned Shohei's hand.

Shohei smiled faintly. He chose to stay and help the girl get justice, even though he had to put aside his disappointment.

I'll always be there for you, until you tell people, who else if not "me"?

Haru approaches Yuta who is busy hacking the port security and customs system.

"Where is Rai? I didn't see him from before!"

"He was playing billiards upstairs" replied Yuta, who was focusing on CCTV hacking in Tokyo harbor.

"Oh, that means what I saw was Rai. He's headed upstairs with your girlfriend" Haru said as he placed his hand on Yuta's shoulder.

Yuta froze for a moment. As soon as Haru came out of his room, he rushed to pick up his phone and immediately called his girlfriend named Erika.

"Where are you?" ask Yuta quickly.

"I'm being ..." The girl's eyes turned towards Rai who was beside her and was playing billiard. "I'm out to buy some of my makeup tools that have run out."

Simultaneously, Yuta instead heard the sound of a billiard ball punch that made him realize his lover was lying. More surprisingly, the girl just cut off her call.

After receiving a phone call from Yuta, Erika then approached Rai. "You promised you'd teach me how to play billiards.

Rai smiled obliquely. "Your lies are amateurish. Yuta is not a fool, he must know you lied to him" Rai said, handing over the billiard steak.

"I don't care!" reply the girl spoiled.

Rai stood behind the girl, ready to teach her to play the billiard. His cold hand directed the staff Erika was holding. "Do you want to know how to lie that looks natural? Combine half of it with the truth, and you will not be caught lying" said the man with a raised corner of his lips.

Three balls enter at once in just one stroke. Yuta's lover immediately applauded and praised Rai.

"Rai-kun, do you have a girlfriend or date right now?" ask Erika.

Rai shakes. "Continuously loving one person is troublesome, isn't it?" he said while tilting his head slightly. Returning to hold the billiard stick, he bent back, and at the point of shooting the ball. "Rather than love one man, I would rather be loved by a thousand women."

At night, Yuriko, Kei, and Ryo regroup at the headquarters on Shohei's orders.

"Has Rai-niichan gone home to her apartment?" ryo asked Yuriko, "surely she will attend the meeting tonight!" he said with certainty.

Yuriko flinched for a moment. He was confused to answer it, aka he felt sorry for Ryo because it was very worried about Rai who was without news until now. He can only hope Rai will come tonight. Shortly after, Shohei arrived in the room.

"We're just waiting for Rai!" cetus Kei while opening his backpack.

Standing in front of the three people, Shohei immediately said, "Meet us from now on!"

Yuriko, Kei, and Ryo were startled and stared at each other. Kei looked towards the door.

"Why not wait for Rai?" ask Kei.

With eyes looking down, Shohei said softly. "He's not on our team anymore. I will take his place as Black Shadow on the upcoming mission."
