Remember Me, Baby.

Remember Me, Baby.
Thank you, Mr. Roux

After passing through the first tunnel, Naoko slams the steering wheel and turns towards the underpass. He drove to the back of a black container truck that was driving slowly.

The young man pressed the on button on his communication channel and exclaimed, “I'm behind you!”

“Copy that's. Prepare for the transfer of the load,” replied Satoru.

Naoko pressed her foot up the accelerator and gradually increased the speed. In front, the container car's turn lights flickered. There was a loud buzzing sound when the back door opened. The sparks look like fireworks when a steel plate is lowered from the back of the container and dragged down the highway.

“Handling!” naoko exclaimed as she directed the modified van closer to the container.

His voice echoed through a mini spekaer mounted in the top corner of the car. Clark and Jovanka clung to the side of the car, while Andrew grabbed Keiko's hand and looked after her like a possessive bodyguard.

Jovanka's eyes are looking at the interaction between Andrew and Keiko. When viewed from his movements, it is clear that Andrew's treatment of the Japanese girl is much different than Andrew's attitude towards her. The woman gritted her teeth and stared intently at the two lovebirds ahead. He had tried to refrain from commenting since then because of the position of those who were still in danger, but now ....

“Why do you help girls it—“

Bruk!

“Aw!”

Jovanka screamed loudly when the shaking of the car that was moving to the container made her fall. He grimaced and tried to get up with great difficulty. Clark who witnessed all of that could only chuckle until his eyes watered. Even Jovanka's sharp gaze fixed on her couldn't keep her quiet. Seeing the woman rise up in limp made her grow even more stern.

"Sorry, Miss. But Naoko has reminded us to hold on" Clark said in between his laughter.

Jovanka nodded and ignored Clark. God fucking. Both of his palms were painful.

In the steering room, Naoko turns off the car engine and pulls the lever on her left side. Automatic locking device emerged from the floor of the container car and knitting the wheels of the van until sound “klik” quite loud. The young man breathed a sigh of relief. The mission went perfectly. Now the cars that were chasing earlier will not be able to find them.

“Keiko, are you okay?”

Keiko gasped and broke away from Andrew's embrace. He forgot there was Hiro who had been sitting in the corner of the room. The girl was stunned when she realized half of her fiance's body was covered in blood.

“Hiro!”

Holding on the side of the car, Keiko approached Hiro who was leaning on the body of the car with his eyes slightly closed. That fiancee looks really pitiful. His breathing sounded disjointed and heavy.

“How are you doing?” keiko asked as she wiped the sweat off Hiro's forehead.

“I'm good,” replied Hiro quietly, “Are you hurt?”

“No. I'm fine.”

The yellowish glow from the lights on the roof of the car allowed Keiko to see Hiro get hurt. It looks like there is still one bullet lodged in the man's shoulder blade. Keiko quickly tore off the end of her dress with her teeth, then clenched it and pressed it against Hiro's wound.

Anxiety filled her tiny face. He doesn't know Hiro was shot. It was too dark in the building. Now he felt a little guilty for not thinking about the man's condition at all.

“Do not move much. You've lost a lot of blood,” Keiko said when she saw her fiance's deathly pale face.

They're engaged. What did you expect? You fool, Andrew said in his heart.

Jovanka watched the drama before her with great satisfaction. The pain in his palm from hitting the surface of the car was suddenly gone. The woman held a thin grin. At least he felt a little calm because the Japanese girl was no longer attached to Andrew. Besides, he's not just gonna let them go.

“Why did you save the girl, Andrew? He is not on our list of operations,” reprimanded Jovanka while glancing at Keiko who is still helping to suppress the wound on Hiro's shoulder blade.

Andrew snorted before replying, “Then what? You're gonna let him die up there?”

“It's none of my business!” sergeant Jovanka, “Our job is to bring out Kobayashi Hiro alive. This action of yours will only add to the problem, you know that? She is the daughter of a mobster. What if he goes back to his father or his fiancee's father, then divulges our identity?”

“She won't—“

“I won't do it!” rebut Keiko, disconnecting Andrew's unfinished words.

“I am not a person who does not know to return the favor,” he continued again while returning a cynical look Jovanka. He did not feel a little trembling.

He turned to Andrew and said, “I don't know who you really are. But, wherever you will take us .. please save my fiancee.”

Keiko's voice was soft, almost inaudible even among the buzzing roar of the engine. However, the sentence he spoke was deep and strong in Andrew's heart. Suddenly he felt defeated before the war. The girl thought about the safety of her fiance. That's a natural thing, but still .. It hurts to hear your loved one worry more about others.

Andrew stood quietly. He looked straight at Keiko's round bead and replied, “Just relax, we'll save your fiancee. We still need information from him.”

Keiko wanted to open her mouth and answer again, but Hiro pressed his wrist and shook his head slowly. Seeing the woman he loved still alive was more than enough. Want it or not, like it or not.

“Thank you, Mr. Roux ... or whoever you are. Thank you for saving my woman,” Hiro said before completely losing her consciousness.

“Hiro! Hiro!” keiko shouted in panic.

Despite having medical capabilities, there is currently no supporting equipment at all. He can't take any action.

“How much longer will we be until?” his tanaya looked up, looking expectantly at Andrew.

The man glanced at the clock on his wrist and said, “Ten more minutes. Relax, he won't die.”

After answering Keiko, Andrew put both his hands into his pants pocket and leaned against the side of the car. Hiro's sentence continued to echo in his eardrum, like a broken cassette that kept playing over and over again.

The woman is mine ....

The woman is mine ....

The woman is mine ....
