After finishing eating, Keiko returned to her room and took a bath. He checked the chocolate cabinet that stood on the right side of the bed, there were several sets of women's clothes in the third drawer, as well as about half a dozen underwear. Everything looks new.
The girl frowned and looked a little doubtful. Was it the guy out there who prepared all this for her? Didn't they just get here? When did the man prepare all this?
Although wondering and suspicious enough, Keiko still took a black t-shirt and blue dongker casual pants and wore them. His face suddenly reddened when he realized the underwear he took from the closet was very fitting size with his body. How could Andrew Roux guess its size so precisely?
The girl's movements looked stiff. For some unclear reason, he really felt embarrassed as well as annoyed. But he has no other choice. It was impossible to wear the clothes he had been wearing since yesterday. After a long journey, the clothes were completely crumpled and damp from sweat.
Sitting on the edge of the mattress, Keiko's gaze glared far away. There was no means of communication, not knowing the latest information regarding Hiro and his father, it was really like walking with his eyes closed. He doesn't know how this is all going to end.
The sound of knocking on the door blew Keiko's daydream. Naturally the girl immediately corrected her sitting position to become more upright, then stunned for a moment when she realized Andrew could not see himself.
He cleared his throat briefly to clear his voice, then slightly exclaimed, “Mr. Roux?”
“Yes. Are you busy?” reply Andrew from behind the door.
The man's face was not pleasant to see. He stared at the phone in his hand without blinking. Clark has just confirmed that Keiko's father is really dead, as are Hiro's parents. While the fiancee of the girl until now still has not been found as well.
After a moment of silence and weighing, Keiko finally walked towards the door and opened it slightly. Andrew's serious-looking face in front of him sparked his curiosity. It seemed like there was something important that the man wanted to convey.
“Not busy. What's up, Mr. Roux?”
Andrew's forehead frowned deeply, clearly showing a dislike expression on his face. “Call Andrew alone,” he said as he stared fixedly at Keiko.
Keiko did not understand the man before her was suddenly upset, but she could only follow the man's request and said, “Well, Andrew. What's up?”
The fine wrinkles on Andrew's forehead slowly faded away. He looked outside and said, “There's something I want to talk to you about. It's about .. um, about your father.”
Keiko froze. A bad feeling suddenly approached him, sounding the alarm of the danger sign that made his body dazed. Under the light of the not-so-bright room lamp, the girl's face paled. He squeezed the doorknob until the veins on the back of his hand protruded.
Andrew once touched on the problem of his superiors who wanted to make him and Hiro as bait to catch both their parents. Although he felt uncomfortable and worried, he also could not do anything to fight against it.
“What's with my dad?” Finally Keiko asked in a hoarse voice.
In fact, he did not want to hear the news that Andrew wanted to convey. But he still has to know the truth, right? As bitter as it is ....
Andrew lowered his head and turned slowly while muttering, “Come here. We talk outside.”
Keiko's breathing felt tight, as if there was a lump of cotton stuffing in her throat, making her feel unsettled. Even so, he stayed out, walking following Andrew step by step. Until finally when they stopped on the west side of the house, Keiko was stunned for a moment. The golden-colored sun that was as if being swallowed by the ocean looked extremely beautiful.
Andrew let the girl beside him be silent like that. He himself put both hands into his pants pocket and stood facing Keiko, enjoying the tinge of sunset light reflected on the girl's face. Really very pretty. For a moment he almost forgot how to breathe properly. Sakamoto Keiko really looks like a goddess.
A split second before Keiko turned her head towards him, Andrew first lowered his gaze and turned his gaze forward, then acted as if his heart was fine. Though only God knows, the roar in his chest beats the pounding waves that are breaking the reef.
“What happened to my father?” asked Keiko after calming down. There were things that could not be avoided, he knew that very well.
“I'm sorry,” Andrew said after thinking long enough but still couldn't find the right sentence to pass the sad news to Keiko.
The two people stared at each other, nothing blinking, as if they wanted to dive into each other's hearts and find the truth. Then when an unfamiliar fear crept out and gnawed at the defensive fortress, they both turned their faces and looked at the endless high seas.
Keiko's voice rang out trembling, breaking the silence. “She's dead?”
Andrew turned his head, then found that not only was the girl's voice trembling, but her entire body was also shaking, as if enduring the intense pain. One clear bulb escapes from between her plump eyelashes, slid past her cheeks and gathers at the end of her chin before falling to the ground.
Andrew desperately wanted to extend a hand and wipe away the trail of tears left behind, but he realized he did not have the qualifications to do so. Both of his hands clenched tightly, restraining his overflowing emotions.
Keiko remained silent for a long time. Only her tears grew louder. The girl cried without a sound, making Andrew's heart ache even more when she saw him.
“Did he die quietly?” keiko asked after shrinking her tears with the back of her hand.
Can you say it is calm? Andrew didn't know how to answer. Sakamoto Zen was shot right on the forehead with a large caliber weapon, making his brain splatter everywhere. His thumb was cut off to pick up the family stamp hidden in a separate place.
“They tortured him, didn't they?”
Keiko crouched down, covered her mouth with her hands and sobbed. Her chest is really tight. The pain made him feel like he wanted to explode. Now he really doesn't have anyone anymore.
Andrew could only stand there and accompany the girl in silence. He really doesn't know what to do. He was not used to persuading someone, let alone a girl.
He desperately wanted to calm the girl down, telling her that everything would be fine, reassuring her that he could lean on her shoulder if she felt tired. However, Andrew was afraid that if he did that then Keiko would just stay away from him.
“My father .. he always said he wanted his ashes to be spread out in the ocean. Is ... can you help me?” asked Keiko in a loud voice. He was still crouching while hugging his knees tightly, as if if he were to let go of his two clutched hands, then he would fall to the bottom of the abyss and could not return again.
“Yes. I can set it up for you,” replied Andrew with a distant look.
“You rest easy, I will find those people and avenge your father,” Andrew continued in a soft voice. At least, that was all he could do to comfort this girl beside him.
The sun was no longer visible, but the flames burning in Andrew's eyes grew brighter. He was determined to avenge those who had trapped him, as well as making his girl cry with great sadness like this.
