Remember Me, Baby.

Remember Me, Baby.
He Didn't Remember

Hiro opened his eyes slowly. His head felt heavy, like he was being crushed by a large stone. The belikatnya worse. The stinging pain and heat made him growl slowly. It seems like the effects of the dope have started to disappear.

The man tried to open his eyes, but suddenly his head seemed to spin rapidly when he saw a bright enough light. He wanted to raise his painless hand to close his eyes, but his wrist was restrained on the side of the bed.

He tilted his head and saw an iron chain tie his hand to the edge of the bed. Hiro snorted softly and sneered cynically. To get up he couldn't, but the men were afraid he would run away. Really ridiculous.

“Keiko,” murmured slowly while closing her eyes again. His voice sounded hoarse and soft.

He was very worried about his fiancee. Even though the girl was stubborn and tough, still she was a woman. After all, Keiko did not bring anything when she left earlier. No guns, or anything. It was because Hiro was too confident and confident that Keiko would be safe with him. Instead, he puts the woman he loves in danger.

Hiro feels guilty for not being able to keep his fiancee well. Although Keiko was also saved, she did not know the girl was injured or not. Whether the people here treated him well or not. Was he treated like a prisoner? If it is true, then he will not forgive himself for having made Keiko in this situation.

Not long after, Hiro heard footsteps approaching towards him. The man cleared his throat to clear his voice, then asked, “Where is my fiancee?”

“Calm down, your fiance is fine,” replied a man while checking Hiro's condition carefully.

The bleeding has stopped. The 8-millimeter mauser that pierced through his shoulder blades nearly grazed his lungs, just 10 millimeters away from his pleural casing. In addition, there were no other injuries that were quite dangerous.

“The condition is stable enough,” the doctor reports to Mr. Tanaka was standing about two steps away from Hiro's bed.

“Good,” said Mr. Tanaka while hooking her hands behind her body, “Help her sit down. I want to talk to him.”

“Good, Mr.”

A bodyguard on Mr. Tanaka immediately took a chair for his superior, while the nurse arranged the position of the bed so that Hiro's head became higher, half leaning on his bed.

Hiro forced open his eyes and circulated his gaze around. The semi-military man with a stethoscope around his neck must be the doctor who just examined him. The man in uniform, like the doctor, seemed to be just an ordinary bodyguard. While the middle-aged man who was sitting arrogantly on the iron chair before him was definitely their superior. There was none he knew.

Mr. Tanaka sat down and stood on his feet. He looked towards Hiro who was also watching him in silence. During his 30 years working in a secret organization, this was his golden opportunity to prove his worth. Once this was done, he could retire and enjoy his old age quietly. Therefore, he would not be merciful to anyone who would not cooperate, or try to obstruct his intentions.

“I want to offer you a deal, Young Man,” said Mr. Tanaka broke the gripping silence.

Hiro chuckled softly. “Can I refuse it?”

Mr. Tanaka chuckled before replying, “I heard you asked your lover?”

His eyes flashed cunningly, staring meaningfully at Hiro making him grit his teeth. Had he not been hurt, he would have lunged at the old man who dared to use Keiko to threaten him.

“If he gets hurt ... just a little bit .. then I'll make sure you'll regret it for the rest of your life, Old Man,” Hiro's hiss full of threats.

Suddenly all the pain just disappeared. Like a male lion ready to take care of his partner, Hiro was undaunted. He really meant his words. No one can hurt Keiko, or she will drag him to hell.

“Then bring Robert Castillo to me, then I will take good care of your girl. Otherwise ... I cannot guarantee it.”

“Of course. You can meet him. Guards will escort her here soon.”

Mr. Tanaka got up and walked out of the room with a satisfied smile. He was grateful that Andrew decided to save the girl as well, otherwise the bargain would not have been as easy. He can confirm that Kobayashi Hiro will not comply with his wishes easily if there is no Sakamoto princess here. Now he can only hope that Hiro agrees and helps him capture Robert Castillo.

“Who are you?” asked Keiko again when the man before her just kept staring at her without blinking, “Have we met before?”

“Au—“

“Miss Keiko?”

A cry from the front door with a slow knock interrupted Andrew's words.

“I-it must be Kim. Let go of me,” pinta Keiko in a panic. He did not want to be caught in a position like this by Kim. He glanced anxiously at the door, afraid that Kim might suddenly decide to enter.

Andrew smiled faintly and let go of his check, not wanting to make the girl before him even more nervous.

“Go. Looks like your fiancee is aware,” Andrew said slowly while giving a distance between the two of them. His tone changed a little. Sometimes he did not remember that the girl was someone else's fiancee.

“Come out,” whispered the man again when Keiko was still staring at him in a daze, “I'll be out after you leave. You don't want anyone to see us just the two of us in here don't you?”

“Um ... I .. I go.”

Keiko walked quickly towards the door and exited without letting Kim look inside. His heart was pounding so hard that he was afraid Kim could hear his beat.

“Mr Hiro is looking for you, Miss,” Kim said politely.

“Oh. Thank goodness, can you take me there?”

“Sure. Come with me.”

“Good.”

Keiko followed behind Kim obediently. He walked without looking back. Not wanting to think of the foreign man in his room, the man who always managed to ravage all his defenses easily. Foreign men who did not feel foreign at all.

And how annoying Andrew Roux's attitude was, never managed to upset him. He just wants to get closer ... want to get to know him more .. isn't this a senseless madness?

Inside the room, Andrew sat on the edge of the bed and restored his hair in frustration. The man closed his eyes and muttered softly, “He can't remember.
