Surviving As The Villainess

Surviving As The Villainess
Prologue

Everything is so perfect. Despite living in this narrow room, my life has been perfect. Perfect doesn't have to have everything. For me, being able to eat and go to college I am very grateful. I am an orphan who has no parents. I grew up in a small, warm orphanage in a village. When I was 18 years old, inevitably I had to leave the orphanage and live independently because the 18-year-old child could not get help from the orphanage anymore. Even though they allowed me to stay, I felt bad. That's why I decided to take a scholarship to college in Kota and work part-time at the mini market every night.

My life is quite boring and colorless, probably because I don't have many friends and rarely have fun because I have to save money. But I'm already quite satisfied with living like this, at least I've never troubled others and can handle my own problems.

Lately I've been playing an otome game called "Red Strings". Yuriel Castris is the heroine of the game. The reason why I love playing this game is because Yuriel is an orphan who has nothing like me. I felt like I could understand her situation, the difference was that she was adopted by a conglomerate family and received a lot of love and affection because of her kind nature.

Of course in a game there must be a bad character who always disturbs the heroine. Liyuna Aria Castris is a bad woman who is in the game. She felt jealous of Yuriel for always getting love and affection from everyone, including her father. The only person who was always by her side was her mother. Therefore Liyuna and her mother always did evil to Yuriel. Of course the ending of a bad woman will never be good.

Liyuna, the evil woman always dies at the end of the story. Whether it's bad end, happy end, or normal end Liyuna will always die. Either by accidentally pierced by a knife, suicide from the roof of the building, accidentally drinking poison aimed at Yuriel, or died in the hands of one of the target capture. The point is there is no happy ending for Liyuna.

I actually feel a little sorry for him. Although she is a villainess in the game, Liyuna is not actually a bad woman, at least I think. She became like that because she felt desperate because her father's affection was transferred to Yuriel. A sense of despair piled up for a long time into envy Yuriel and he felt that every thing he did with great difficulty, Yuriel could do it perfectly without trying a single bit. This made him have an inferiority complex and his confidence was lost imprudently. I sympathize with Liyuna because when her father brought Yuriel to Castris's residence, Liyuna was just an 8-year-old child who still needed affection from her father, but that affection was transferred to someone else instead.

To end this grueling night, I tried to play the last route that I had not had time to play because it was too difficult. In "Red Strings" the difficulty level to finish the game from each target capture (CP) is different and the last CP, namely easy, normal, hard, and maniac. And right now I'm trying to finish maniac mode. Based on the forum I read, no one has been able to complete this route because the storyline is very dangerous, dark, and full of gimmicks. Just choosing the wrong answer can make your character lose their lives and immediately get a bad end. Therefore I intend to be the first to complete this mode. That way I can make a walkthrough and earn a little extra money if I sell it and again according to the rumors if I complete this hardest route, the route for the hidden character will open. This made my spirit increase because I was curious about the hidden character because it seemed like all the mysteries on other routes would be connected if it had completed the route belonging to the hidden character.

"Red Strings" has a pretty complicated storyline. What else is the background of each CP that is very unusual makes all players curious about the storyline. Initially this game impressed like an ordinary otome game with a light story between a rich man and a poor girl who suddenly turned into Cinderella. But the story turns very dark the more we approach the ending. Heroine had a lot of difficulties and several times almost lost his life, but hello a heroine is strong so he can survive unlike the villainess.

[Bad Ending]

My phone screen turned red a sign that I failed to complete the last route.

Really very unlucky, but a little more I can get a happy ending.

I decided to repeat the game again. Today I was determined to finish this game and open the route of the hidden character so failing once was not a problem.

One time ...

Three times ...

Four times ...

Five times ...

The longer the number of failures increased until I had forgotten to count them. The clock shows at 2 am. My eyes are getting tired of staring at the phone screen. In my heart I decided to do it one more time for the last time. If it fails, I will try again tomorrow.

[Starts]

I pressed the start button and the game returned to the original story. I tried very hard to remember the right choice so as not to get bad ending again. Attempts never betray results. After the experiment to –that's why I don't remember. Finally the gold-colored writing on the background of the flowers appeared on my phone screen as well.

[Happy Ending]

I let out a sigh of relief. My body fell on the bed because my energy was drained to finish this game. My eyes feel so heavy, they don't

I feel like I'm in a dream world.

[Hidden Character Unlocked]

At that time I did not know that my phone screen was giving off a light so bright that it enveloped my entire bed and took me to a world that had never crossed my brain before.
