Yuda is seen walking in a hallway covered in glass. He could see a shadow reflected from there. Every now and then, people dressed in white-blue walked past him carrying countless piles of papers. Some of them carry an iPad that will either be used for what.
Yuda reached the end of the hall, he stood in front of a large brown door.
"Yep..." He took a deep breath
In fact, Yuda was not too happy to come to the headquarter because of the less pleasant atmosphere. But it was in this place that all secret missions were given and it was in this place that the higher ups were.
Yuda as a secret agent given special authority must also comply with the existing regulations. He couldn't be careless because every step he made could endanger others.
After feeling a little calm, he knocked on the door slowly.
"Lake in."
The voice of someone from inside the room uttered the knock of Judah. Without further ado, Yuda immediately pushed the door.
The two neutrals caught the figure of a man who already looked very aged. His hair was white and his face had started to have wrinkles. Even so, the man exuded an aura of power that was so thick.
Hagen Alizen was the old man's name. He is a top police officer who leads a secret agency as well as a special team like the Aegis team.
For Yuda who currently serves as a secret agent given special authority, Hagen is the leader as well as his superior. He was a person who could move people like him and assign them on a mission.
"Old not meet." Hagen said, he was seen staring at Yuda's face for a few seconds.
Hearing Hagen open his voice, Yuda immediately greeted him with a respectful pose.
"Ready, long time no meeting with the leader."
"No need to be that formal. We've known each other for a long time."
Yuda and Hagen had known each other for a long time before Judah even got into the police force.
Yuda first met her when she was 6 years old. That's when his nightmare happened, a time when he wanted it all repeated.
"Well, as you wish."
Hagen smiled at Allen's reply.
"How areyou? We haven't seen each other since the Almera Ravenray murder."
"I'm fine, there's no problem whatsoever."
"What about your brother? Have you guys met each other again?"
Judah scrunched his forehead when he heard Hagen asking about his brother. It was obvious that Yuda did not like his older brother, Eris. Then why did Hagen even ask her that? Yuda felt his mood become a little worse.
"I haven't contacted him since I entered the Academy and because of my work, I can't reach him."
"Is it really because of that?" Hagen looks unsure of Yuda's answer, he looks at Judah with a look as if he knows that Judah is lying.
"Of course."
"While you're on the same track?"
Judah immediately understood what Hagen's words meant. He was talking about his job as a secret agent in line with Eris as the head of the Aegis team. They both handle cases that can not be handled by ordinary personnel.
"That's not true, I work individually and my brother works as a team."
Hagen chuckled at the reply from Yuda.
"I don't know if you two are not good."
Yuda was just silent, at a time like this it was better that he did not open his voice.
"Why is your relationship that bad? You are brother."
"Because our lifespan is too far away, we have different thoughts."
"I'm not sure about that, when you were a kid Eris used to take you on missions."
Yuda fell silent again because he could not deny it. Ever since the monster named Eris knew the advantages, she had always exploited herself and used it for profit.
Is that brother? Is that a sister? What is the relationship between blood and family?
Yuda did not understand. A monster like Eris that could only suck up his blood could not be called an elder brother.
"So what do you want to say to send me an emergency signal?"
"Ah, right. If I meet you I'll be forgetful." Hagen remembered something after hearing the words of Judah.
He took a file in his drawer and gave it to Judah.
Yuda who received the file immediately saw the contents at a glance. His eyes darkened as he read something he did not want to remember.
'Frozen December and Reindra.'
"What do you want with this old case?"
"Find out where she is."
"Who?"
"Former team leader Aegis, Reindra."
Both of Yuda's eyes rounded perfectly when he heard the name of the former Aegis team leader called.
"That's impossible, chairman Reindra should've..."
Judah could not continue his words. As one of the living witnesses to the incident, Judah did not know what to react to when the man's name was mentioned.
"really. As one of the two people who knew the truth of the incident, you must know that Reindra was declared dead."
"That's a reality that can't be changed. If you look at the incident in person you would never have thought that he could survive."
"Although Reindra's body has never been found to this day."
"That doesn't prove he's alive. Give me concrete evidence, and I'll trust you."
"Open the next page." Hagen asks Yuda to open the next sheet of the file in his hand.
Judah did as Hagen asked and saw a report indicating that Reindra was still alive. Not only that, the report also accompanied several photos of a man who blur.
"Why did you give me this mission?"
"Because you were involved in that incident."
"Not just me, there's still my brother."
"I'm sure you understand what I mean. Didn't the incident happen because of you two."
"What do you mean?"
"Frozen December. Didn't you and Eris make the incident happen?"
Judah moved his teeth very roughly. He wanted to refute Hagen's entire speech but could not. What Hagen said was kebenran. He was involved in the incident.
"I don't want to accept this mission because right now I still have to scout Cerberus."
"That's why I asked you to do this. Only you can do it."
"Cerberus and Reindra, does that have anything to do?"
Hagen smiled at Yuda's question on target. This is one of the reasons I like Yuda. He was a young man whom he rarely encountered, had strong instincts and sharp thinking, and could of course deduce something with just a little bit of information.
"True, according to reports Reindra was seen entering the area belonging to Cerberus."
Yuda closed the file in his hand.
"You're gonna do it, right?"
Judah had no other choice. Although reluctant, he must take on this mission because it might be possible to bring him to find the carcass of Cerberus.
And maybe it's time for him to face his past. In his previous life, he failed to find Cerberus and lost someone valuable. Nor can he make peace with his past, daily drowning in guilt and nightmares.
But all that changed a little when he came. Like a light, he came to light his dark life, making all darkness disappear.
This time, he made a decision. He will stop Cerberus and finish his past.
