Surviving As The Villainess

Surviving As The Villainess
Chapter 99 - The Woman Who Always Haunts

Inside a car Hajun is seen lighting a cigarette with his lighter. This was the second cigarette he smoked today. Usually, Hajun only smokes once every day but today it is a little different.

His forehead looks shriveled. Seeing the scene just now, it was impossible if he did not feel angry.

Titus closes the car window. Although it felt very cold, he had no other choice because Hajun was currently smoking. He did not want himself to feel short of breath because of cigarette smoke locked in the car.

The coat that Hajun was wearing, Titus put it in the seat beside him. He glanced at Hajun through the rearview mirror to make sure that his boss was fine for not wearing warm clothes.

Looking at Hajun's situation, it seemed that Titus's concern was in vain. If he put aside his mood that was not good, Hajun looked fine.

The boss he had followed since he was a teenager was indeed not to be underestimated. The training Hajun had done while still in Obelian's Circle was indeed no ordinary training.

The sound of sirens of ambulances, police, and firemen collided with each other. Making the chaotic atmosphere around TKP more unstoppable. People were seen running and hiding in fear.

There is no certainty how many fatalities were injured or died but certainly, this incident will make a scene throughout the community.

Titus started the engine. When he felt the engine was hot, Titus immediately drove towards their headquarters.

Hajun looked out the window. The car he was riding in walked past Liyuna's car.

Even so, none of them are aware. Although Hajun's car glass was open and he looked out, the glass of the car Liyuna was riding was covered. The body guards would not let him be seen by outsiders after what had happened just now.

"Why have I seen so many Obelian's Circle body guards since?" Ask Hajun.

He breathed out the smoke in his mouth.

"Ah that... I don't know either. Looks like a client who uses the services of Obelian's Circle is also around here."

Hajun did not answer. He was silent to Titus' explanation. It is not strange if the body guard Obelian's Circle is around but if the number is many, of course Hajun becomes a little curious. There are many people who hire the services of Obelian's Circle as much. Usually they are officials or celebrities who do need special security.

The car Hajun was riding drove at high speed. The streets of the new year are so quiet, almost no one goes out in a vehicle. They prefer to walk with family or stay home while waiting for the new year countdown.

Titus parked the car in the basement. Then he opened the back door of the car for Hajun.

Hajun got out of the car and walked straight to the elevator.

"I'll go straight to sleep, you go back to your own room." Hajun.

"Understand."

DING!

The elevator door opened, showing the quiet passage Hajun used to walk through. On this floor there was only him because Titus occupied one floor below him. Hajun rushed towards his room and immediately laid his body on the bed.

He did not turn on the lights, so his room looked very dark. Even so, Hajun did not seem to feel any difficulty walking in the dark.

Hajun closed his eyes, trying to blend in with the darkness around him. But somehow since when, the silence that enveloped him disappeared.

The sound of the waves was so clear in his ears. The sea breeze at night felt very cold but that was not what made Hajun feel restless.

This is a dream. A dream that has always haunted him since the last few years and made it difficult to sleep.

Although Hajun knew this was only a dream, what he saw here could always wake him up from his sleep.

Hajun did not need to look around because he knew exactly where he was. He stood on the deck of the yacht, in his hands there was a revolver that he always carried everywhere since he was a teenager.

He wears a formal black suit that now only remains his white shirt. His body was wet as the rain started to fall bit by bit.

The atmosphere around was very crowded but Hajun could not hear anything that people said. He could only hear the sound of the waves and the wind blowing, as well as the rain that began to fall to the earth.

His surroundings were blurry, making Hajun realize that this was just a dream.

As he searches for the source of the voice Hajun sees the figure of the woman who always haunts him in dreams. He could not see the woman's face clearly, he did not know who she was but Hajun could see tears drenching his white face.

The woman stood in the corner of the deck, making it very close to the sea. Someone standing beside him pointed a firearm at his head.

At first Hajun did not know what was going on in this dream but after repeating it many times, Hajun began to understand.

The woman was crying because she was threatened by the man standing next to her. He tried to ask Hajun for help but he did not try to intervene.

Hajun understood himself, it was impossible for him to help others who could make his position threatened. That woman was such an existence to him. A foreign feeling that he had never had before, just suddenly came to him. It was as if the dream he saw was a reality that had ever happened. But Hajun was not a fool, he could tell which dreams and which did not.

The man again pushed the woman closer towards the fence, making her closer to the sea. The woman was crying in silence, though she asked for help even though she knew that Hajun would not help her. He just looked at Hajun with his face wet with tears.

And when it happens again. The woman was pushed out of the deck of the ship until she fell into the ocean. Before he fell, he looked into Hajun's eyes.

Byuurr—

The woman fell into the sea.

And Hajun did nothing.

Dorr—

The sound of gunfire was heard amidst the sound of rain that started rushing. The man who had pushed the woman down now sat down with his hands full of blood.

Hajun looked forward, looking at a young man coming from behind the man. In his hand was a revolver that he had just used to shoot the man.

After the young man confirmed that the man in front of him had successfully paralysed, he walked up to Hajun.

Seeing this, Hajun knew what would happen next. The young man would punch him in the face and say something but Hajun himself could not hear what he was saying.

Suddenly, the young man jumped into the sea. He was trying to find the woman. But unfortunately the rain was getting heavier and the woman's body was getting away from the waves.

It was a suicide. The young man must have known the consequences of his actions. He would not have survived if he had seen such a big wave. No matter how great he swam, he still would not be able to oppose nature.

While the woman who had been swept away by the waves, might have lost her consciousness.

That night... Two people he loved died swallowed by the ocean.

When Hajun awoke from his dream. All the tiredness and drowsiness just disappeared, as if it had never existed before.

Hajun tidied up wiping his sweaty forehead with his palms.

Every time he dreamed about that woman, he would never be able to go back to sleep. It felt like there was such a deep regret and guilt, making his chest feel very tight and seemed to want to die.

Even so, Hajun usually still forced himself to go back to sleep with the help of drugs. He could not stay awake because when the sun began to appear, there was work to be done.

If Hajun looked back at the dream he had, Hajun could not understand why the two people who had disappeared into the ocean were valuable to him. Only, his instincts said that they were a valuable person to him.

If his instincts were correct, then why would he just stand still watching them being dragged away by the waves? Why didn't he try to save the woman? And why didn't he try to restrain the young man from being reckless? Hajun did not understand.

Dreams are flowers of sleep. These are words that people often say. But according to Hajun, the dream he saw was a future premonition that might happen in the future.

If it was like that, would he choose different options and save them? No one knows about it because the event has not really happened.

Whether Hajun's opinion of the dream is right or wrong, no one knows the answer. Whether it was something that would happen in the future or something that happened in the past, no one knew.

All he could do at this moment was to continue walking forward and see for himself the answer he had been looking for.
