The Lives of Five Hundred Thousand

The Lives of Five Hundred Thousand
Doppelganger

I took a long breath. After that, leaning my back against the backrest and closing my eyes and hoping that the strange events in Oma's house would soon disappear from my mind.

"You seem to have a lot of thoughts, Nuri, is there a problem that is going on? I'm sorry that I was impressed to always want to know your personal problems." Said doctor Bayu in between driving.

I shook slowly but my eyes remained closed. I wanted to share with her the story of what I experienced while at her house but I'm sure her response must be the same as Sukma's aunt's"hallucinations."

"No doc, I'm just tired." Said I was lying.

See doctor Bayu mangosteen mangosteen.

"Guild, Doc..."I said in the middle of our silence.

"Why Nuri?"

"What, may I ask about the late doctor mama Bayu?" ask me doubtfully and with a heart.

"Just ask Nuri, I will answer if I am able to answer and if I am not able to yes I will not answer."

"The doctor said the doctor's mother died when the doctor was Zain's age, what, at that age did the doctor still remember what kind of doctor's face was?"

"No, that age certainly can not remember what includes the face of the closest person. It's just that Oma often stories how the shape of the face of the mother and besides that Oma also keeps some photos of the mother. And you know Nuri, Oma says my mom is beautiful and she says she looks a lot like you."

I was astonished to hear it turns out that all this time doctor Bayu knew if his mother looked like me." Has she been approaching me all this time because I look like her mother?" I'm monologuing.

"really?" I pretend I don't know." But according to the doctor why me and the doctor's mom can look alike?"I asked curiously because I had no connection whatsoever with the Oma family but why could we be similar.

Seemed doctor Bayu speechless like he was thinking but soon he spoke up.

"I actually do not understand the heck Nuri just that I have read an article about research conducted by Dr. Esteller said that humans can have the same DNA, lifestyle, even traits even though they are not born brothers. Otherwise it's called doppelgangeras."

"Doppelganger." I repeat it and it's a difficult name to say.

"Yes." Yeah."

"What, what does that mean?"

"Two people born into different families or environments can have the same genes so that their physiques look similar to each other. That could be because there is genetic overlap between millions of human populations and the condition is likely to be DNA repeats among different people."

"Ooo," I'm a slow-mouthed mangosteen.

I looked at what Dr Bayu was explaining. He is a smart person who is highly educated of course understand the cause of similarity in two people who do not have any relationship like me and his mother.

No more talking after I felt quite understood the reason why I could be similar to the face of doctor Bayu's mother. Although I was still curious about the dream and about what I saw while at Oma's house. I no longer asked what I was so sleepy that I fell asleep.

A subtle pat was felt on my shoulder, it turned out that doctor Bayu woke me up in a deep sleep in the car. I don't know how long I slept until I woke up in front of the house.

"It's up to Miss Nuri."Sayu doctor.

I yawned a little and then glanced outside the car turned out to be right if we had reached my front. My house seems deserted no one welcomes our return or maybe bang Supri does not know if I come home.

"Let me take Zain." Doctor Bayu volunteered to bring Zain who was asleep on my lap.

"Thank you doc." Then give Zain to him.

After getting out of the car, the door of the house opened and appeared bang Supri with a random hair appearance scrambled, wearing a shirt with no sleeves and a glove wrapped around her waist. Looks like he just woke up.

"Yet you're finally home safe Nuri. Is Zain okay, Nuri?" he asked while looking at Zain who was sleeping in the arms of doctor Bayu.

"Thank you good bang."

"Thank God, you know that every night I stay up and can't sleep thinking of you."

I smiled hearing her.

"Has Sumi and her family gone home bang?"

"Have nur, maksa's mother continues to want to go home quickly. He said it doesn't feel good constantly ngeropotin you."

"Well, let her mother be healthy."

Asik chatting with bang Supri makes me almost forget the presence of doctor Bayu who was holding Zain.

"Yes, sorry doc. Come on, come on in."

Doctor Bayu nodded.

"Please doc, sorry just tea."

"It's more than enough Nuri." After saying that, he sipped the tea." Ah, it's so delicious." Her speech. I just smiled.

I accompanied the doctor Bayu chat until it did not feel two hours had passed and the doctor Bayu said goodbye to go home. But he did not pay to go home to Jakarta but returned to the district because tomorrow there is a practice schedule in the district hospital. I also allow it.

"I go home first. Keep Zain good."Say doctor Bayu when I take her up to the porch of the house.

"Yes doc, thank you so much for driving us home. Thanks for helping us find Zain."

"I hope this isn't our last meeting" Nuri said."

I'm laughing a little.

"Doctors are there, not."

Doctor Bayu smiled smirked then scratched his nape.

"Well, I'll go home first!"

I'm nodding.

Then doctor Bayu entered his car and then drove him out of my house.

The next day and in the morning.

"Nuri, Nuri!" sumi's cry in front of the house sounded loud in both of my ears. Then I opened the door for him. Sumi smiled widely and hugged me.

"Thank you and Zain go home safe Nuri."

"You know where Sum came from?"I asked in the middle he hugged me.

"From the Supri Nur bang last night she told me."He answered while taking off his embrace.

"You guys met last night?"

"No, he chatted I told him you were home."

"Chat!"

"I've bought Nur's cell phone, yes although it's not as good and expensive as yours." Suddenly bang supri came and explained that he had bought a mobile phone.

I glanced at him."Do you have money bang? it's your savings I'm holding."

"The money you always love me is Nur, I save so much to buy a cell phone deh."He said with a big smile.

"Oh. It's good."

"Yes, Nur, I'm here to take your bike. It's the key."Said Sumi while thrusting my motor key.

"Keep your sister's sister's school up what will Sum be?"

"Let them walk as usual."

I can't bear to hear his sister's school walking. What else is Ria's school pretty far away. I think maybe I should just buy Sumi a second motorbike so she can take her sister to school.

"I'm also like he wants to go back to the city of Nur, want to find work because it's impossible for me to be unemployed how my family lives later."Sumi.

"So do you want to leave your newly healed mother and have to babysit your sister and son again Sum?"

"As for Nuri, I have to make money for them as well."

I fell silent while thinking about how good it was. I don't think I'd have the heart if Sumi ever left her family again.

"Emm, just gini Sum, will you not help me make crackers?"

"You're serious Nuri offered me?"Questions with twinkling eyes.

"Well, that's also if you want to."

"Yes will Nur, so I no longer need to work far. If I help you, I can work and take care of my family."

I smiled glad that Sumi was willing to help me. The more hands you want to help the better. And I hope besides Sumi there will also be others who will help me make crackers because I want to increase my cracker production.
