Mr. Bagas's story

I stopped Oma's nagging at Raihan and explained to him that it was just a misunderstanding. Oma's frustration began to subside after hearing my explanation.

"So right he didn't hurt you, Nuri?"

"Where might I have the heart to hurt Nuri." Raihan first chimed in on Oma's question.

"Ish, I didn't ask you."

Raihan pressed his lower lip.

"You're not talking lies, are you if Nura's boyfriend doesn't hurt you?"

Raihan narrowed both eyes." Nura's girlfriend, who's Nura's boyfriend? there's also Nuri's future husband."

"What do you mean?"

"Yes, I'm Nuri's future husband. Is Oma less clear?"

"Ray.." I'm upset with Raihan speaking disrespectfully.

"Oma just played grumbling without wanting to hear my explanation first." Raihan defended himself.

"A..what did you say? husband-to-be." Oma asked back as if what Raihan said was unclear.

"Yes, I'm Nuri's future husband."

Doctor Bayu and Oma look stunned to hear Raihan's confession. Even Oma's mouth was wide open.

"What, Nuri's future husband!" Oma Repeat.

"Yes, I'm Nuri's future husband and Nuri's my future wife even one more week we're getting married. Oma take it easy, Oma and doctor Bayu will be invited by us." Raihan clarified his words in an annoyed tone.

Oma glanced at the doctor Bayu who seemed to be clenching his hands and flat-faced. Then turn his eyes back towards me.

"A...Is that true, Nuri?" Ask Oma to me.

I nodded." Yes Oma. I'm getting married to Raihan next week. Oma and doctor Bayu come huh?"

"Later the invitation will follow" said Raihan.

Oma glanced at the doctor Bayu again and so did the doctor Bayu. Jakun doctor Bayu looks up and down like trying to swallow his saliva. I don't know what she's thinking.

"Oma, it's better today now we just go on pilgrimage." Invite doctor Bayu to arrive.

"Shortly Bay." Then Oma looked towards me again." Are you seriously getting married, Nuri?"

"Oma, it's a waste of time Bayu did not have much time after this had to go to the hospital. Come on." Come on."

Oma was still speechless and looked at me with a look I could hardly describe.

Doctor Bayu was upset then he forcefully pulled Oma's arm and led her away from us. I feel doctor Bayu is angry with me but why? as I stared at their backs Raihan held my arms.

"It's a good thing I proposed to you first, baby if it's not the same old doctor."

"What are you talking about, Rai."

"You know Melisa and Bayu's mom, Nuri?" Ask Mr. Bagas when I just landed my hips on the seat."

I looked back and smiled faintly." Yes sir, we knew by chance."

"Where?"

"Know the doctor Bayu in the hospital."

"With mama Melisa?"

"At home when I first went to Jakarta to find Zain who was taken away by my ex-husband."

"Oh."

"Sir Bagas saw them? But why don't you come down and see them?"

"It's not that I don't want to meet them, they don't want to meet me."

"What do you mean by Bagas?"

"Mama Melisa hated me when I decided to marry Meri after a month of Hanum's departure. He accused me of having an affair with Meri even though for god's sake I had absolutely no special relationship with Meri even I met him only once when Hanum my wife introduced him during the event seven our second child. When I felt frustrated after the departure of my wife and second child Meri approached me and I was also confused why I arrived to marry meri when I loved my wife and did not have feelings what's up on Meri. After I married mama Melisa put distance between me and Bayu. He took custody of the baby on the grounds that I had a new wife and could not guarantee the comfort of Bayu's life. He brought Bayu to the Netherlands until Bayu was fourteen years old. Until now even though Bayu knew I was his father but he seemed to think I was a stranger, he did not want to be close to me. If talking is only as necessary even I once asked him to lead the company but he did not want to. I don't blame Melisa and Bayu's mom. It was all my fault because I decided too soon to remarry and I was confused as to why I could marry the woman Meri I didn't love."

"If you don't love Meri's mother why can you hold it all this time sir?" Raihan asked.

"I survived because of Nura. I don't want him to be a broken home kid. What else Nura is not as lucky as Bayu who has a rich Oma.

"What do you mean by Bagas?"

"Nura doesn't have a grandmother or grandfather. My parents are dead and Meri's parents are the same. Meri herself was born from a family that could be said to be incapable. Do you know the Unity Corp company I lead? it was a company founded by my parents and my late wife Hanum. I just keep going and developing it. Later, if the baby wants to take over the company I will be happy to give all ownership of unity Corp even though fifty percent is already owned by mama Melisa. I'll give you the rest of his stock if the baby wants it."

"Ehm, Nuri, Rai. Sorry, I told you a long story. Because all this time I felt like I was living alone even though I had a wife and children. I don't have someone I can trust and a place to complain."

"So the point is you believe in both of us?"

"Yes, do I trust you?"

"Reason?"

"I believe you're good people. My heart says you're good and trustworthy."

"But the new father knows us, let alone Nuri."

"But I really believe in you. Thanks again, Rai."

Raihan and I looked at each other and shook their heads." It's okay sir, we don't mind hearing father's story." My speech. It turned out that Mr. Bagas was not as bad as what Oma had told him. But if you hear the story of Mr. Bagas who told you about his confusion marrying Meri's mother I feel something is wrong with their marriage.

"Thank you Nuri thank you."

"We're going home now, baby?" Ask Raihan. I looked back at Zain and Mr. Bagas." Are we going home now, sir?" I asked Bagas.

"Yes Nuri, it seems that Zain is also sleepy to hear this unimportant opa. ma?Sorry, son!" Zain smiled smirkingly.
