The Lives of Five Hundred Thousand

The Lives of Five Hundred Thousand
Ex-wife's limp mouth

The next day and the sun had not yet appeared on the eastern horizon, I did not immediately clean the house as usual but was lazing on the bed. While waiting for Zain to wake up, I picked up my phone which I rarely used. I surfed on my Facebook account, just wanted to know what was going on there.

The first news that appeared on the veranda was a photo of a school friend vacation during high school with her husband and son in Singapore. I smiled at him, imagining how lucky and happy my friend had gotten a good husband, willing to take his wife and child the way to go abroad. While I, do not go out of the country, around my area, Surya never invited us to walk.

Then following a photo of a tall and handsome man seen being in Istanbul, Turkey. A photo of a man I've known so well since SD. Curious because his account was active again I opened his facebook profile and found a lot of photos of him being in several countries. The photo looks cool because he is handsome. But what I'm surprised about here is that the photo is just himself without any pictures of his wife.

"It looks like Andre has become a successful person until he can vacation abroad." I muttered in my heart.

After that, I checked the inbox message. It turned out that quite a number of people were texting me one of them was Andre, SD Friend one level above me. Then I read the message.

"Thank God you're still in Indonesia. So, I have no trouble finding you later when I return to Indonesia he he. Oya, is that a picture of your toddler your son? he looks like his beautiful mother."

I replied with a smile emoticon and just a thank you. I thought Andre would never reply again but beyond my expectations he replied back in seconds via chat messenger. In the end we had a long chat until I ended it because Zain was awake.

But before I left Facebook, accidentally my eyes were on a family photo that looked harmonious and happy set in a restaurant. A woman with a thick make-up and two skinny, malnourished boys was sitting in a chair enjoying a meal on the table. In addition to them, there is also a Surya mas in the middle.

The photo was accompanied by the caption, "we really Miss you papa, we love you! we often eat at restaurants."

I smiled wryly looking at him. My husband took his ex and two children to a nice meal at the restaurant while he forgot that there was his legal wife and his flesh-blood son that he ignored. Let alone taking us to eat at the restaurant for a living this month he did not send it.

I know my ex-wife deliberately uploaded the photo because she might have seen my Facebook online. Is that the purpose of asking for a Facebook friendship with me so that he can show me off? this time I admit that he succeeded in upsetting my heart.

Then I kept the picture quiet so I wouldn't see it in my arms again. It feels like he wants to block his Facebook but I don't want him to think I'm jealous and lose to him. In addition, I also want to know what Surya did to his ex-wife.

After that, I checked out some of Zain's photos that I uploaded a few days ago. It turned out that a lot of people commented and praised Zain's good looks. While reading one comment at a time in the photo of Zain I uploaded, an inbox message came in and I immediately checked it out of curiosity. I was stunned to read a message from the account owner named Ipah Saripah, Surya's ex-wife.

"That's your son Surya's the same? how does it not look like Surya? don't he not Surya's son but another boy! "

I'm so upset that my ex-wife has accused Zain of not being Surya's son just because Zain doesn't look like him. If only he had been near me this time, I might have ripped off his blood-red lip. My hands were itching once then I immediately typed back the message.

"Is it because my son is so handsome, until he has such thoughts? But it's okay my son does not look like his father because if it looks not necessarily my son is as handsome as this then in the delight of many people. yes like a child mba, yes like a child mba, they're all similar to Surya's, aren't they?"

I noticed that the owner of the Ipah Saripah account was typing. I am still faithful waiting for his reply.

"Oh, so you mean my son's son is not handsome because it is similar to Surya?"

Without me explaining it turns out he also understands what I mean. Then I returned the message.

"Well, I'm not saying they're not good-looking, I'm just saying kids look like Surya mas."

"Instantially you have called my child ugly because it looks like Surya. Just watch out I'll fight you same as Surya."

"Please mba, I will also send our conversation this let the solar mas judge for themselves who started first."

I threatened back even though I wasn't sure Surya would defend me more than his ex-wife. I am still faithful waiting for his reply but it has been more than ten minutes the message did not appear again.

Drrtts

Just about to put my phone in the drawer, arrived an incoming SMS message from Surya mas. I opened it with curious tumben tumben tumbenan he sent me a message.

"What do you mean insult my son Nuri's ugly? did you forget they were my flesh and blood? you insult them is the same as insulting me as your husband."

It turns out that the threat is not playing, he really complained to Surya mas and I believe he exaggerated the word. Because I was lazy to argue with Surya, I just send our chat message let him read for himself whether I insult his son? I sent our conversation through MMS messages, because I live like in the year two thousand and ten down, which at that time there was no such thing as a chat application. Nowadays, almost everyone uses chat apps on their phone, but I don't.

After I sent the contents of our conversation, then I sent a message in the form of satire.

"Do you think Zain is not your flesh and blood? why are they the only ones you consider flesh blood while Zain is not? oya, please tell your ex-wife, no need to show off eating at the same restaurant as the ex-husband, the impression is tacky, like a first-time villager eating at a restaurant."

"Don't you slander Nuri, when do I eat at the restaurant with them?"

I did not answer him directly but sent a photo that I comot on Facebook belonging to his ex. Can he still deny it.

"Please in the check is that not you mas?"

"It's Nuri, I don't want to argue with you, make my head even more dizzy. Mending you help me find money to pay the debt."

I was surprised to read the message. He denied it and immediately told me to find money to pay his debt. I don't know what debt? I just ignored the message I no longer responded to.

After I finished doing homework, I sat back on the living room couch playing my crappy cell phone, while Zain was playing in a car.

I reopened my Facebook account, then found an inbox message from my ex-wife.

"Ha ha ha how does it feel in the same maki as Surya? it's pathetic, isn't it? don't eat it like me if I don't want to make it even more sad."

I replied casually.

"Who do you mean pathetic? me ? is it not the opposite mba himself whose life is sad because he can not move on from his ex? it's so sorry."

"Nobody you said. It is precisely Surya who cannot move on from me. How can not move on try, his wife who is now his level is much lower than me. His education alone low continues to be unemployed again. In addition, the appearance of kuel kumel dekil. ha ha ha!"

My chest rumbled, my hands clenched in contempt from my husband's suffocating ex-wife. But I held back my emotions and acted as casually as possible. Before I typed in to reply back, Zain called me to urinate. I had to ignore her scathing message because I had to take Zain to the bathroom. After that, I chose to keep my phone alone and won't reply again. Not that I feel afraid or run out of words to reply to his words, because useless will only waste my time and energy responding to him.
