Chapter 47. Subsidiary Issues

At the hospital, Kanaya and Gilang looked very worried. They've been waiting a long time on the ER doorstep, but the doctor hasn't come out yet either.

"Is Rendy hurt bad enough that the doctor hasn't come out yet?" ask the restless Kanaya.

"Calm down, the doctor is trying to save Rendy" Gilang said, trying to calm Kanaya down despite her anxiety.

Ting..

The ER door suddenly opened and the doctor exited from inside. The doctor looked at Kanaya's face along with Gilang, then lowered his head while sighing violently.

"I'm sorry, sir, ma'am, we've tried our best to keep our father and mother we can't save" he said guiltily.

"What's? Son dead? Rendy's dead? That's impossible." said Kanaya who was surprised and sad.

"Sorry, mom. It may be hard for you, we understand that. You should cry to breathe a sigh of relief." said the doctor before leaving.

The body of someone was downstairs. Kanaya's hand shook as if she didn't want to touch him. Her tears came down without a sound. Pain, tightness, everything mixed in the chest. Likewise with Gilang, he seemed surprised.

"Rendy.." call Kanaya in a slow voice

Suddenly one of the mothers came and hugged the child's corpse. Kanaya and Gilang looked at each other, astonished.

"My boy... Forgive mom... My son, I'm sorry mother." she said, crying hysterically.

"Sorry, ma'am, excuse me. This is my son, not my mother's son." - reprimanded Kanaya with all my heart.

"What do you mean, this hysterical hyx is my son. My beloved son." he said hugging tightly.

Gilang who had knelt on the floor immediately got up. He quickly removed the child's face cover and saw who the child really was.

"Not Rendy" said Gilang as he retreated slowly.

"really?" Kanaya hurriedly looked at him until her eyes were rounded.

Kanaya suddenly cried in front of the corpse while sitting next to the crying mother. "Why do you cry, this is my son. My dead son." said the mother, glancing at Kanaya.

"I'm sad too, ma'am. It wasn't my son who died." Kanaya answered the louder the sound of crying.

"Whatchu mean? You should be happy this isn't Rendy. Get up and find Rendy!" gilang orders while pulling Kanaya's hand away from there.

They both got out of the hospital. Not long after, the Gilang phone rang. Gilang quickly looked at the contents of the message sent from Reyhan.

[Grandmother is fine. He'll be heading to your apartment with Rendy, and we'll be there. The coincidence that saved Grandma was Rendy.]

Gilang smiled with satisfaction after reading Reyhan's message. He quickly pulled Kanaya's hand up into the car. Kanaya did not rebel and complied, not as usual. He just silently observed the situation outside the car window.

"Rendy and Grandma Rani survived. They'll get to the apartment soon." Gilang told me.

"What's? Rani's grandmother with Rendy?" asked Kanaya who turned towards the cross.

"Yes, it was Rendy who saved Rani's grandmother" Gilang said with a proud smile to her son. While Kanaya put on a face of dislike. He thought on the way, how to punish his son.

When Kanaya and Gilang arrive at the apartment, Reyhan and Mizuki arrive. The four of them then entered together and sat waiting for Rendy who would come with Rani's grandmother.

"Don't be too hard with small children." said Gilang reminded.

"You don't have to interfere. This is my family and Rendy's problem." Kanaya replied as she stared intently at Gilang.

"I'm his dad so have to interfere," replied Gilang. As Kanaya's emotions rose, she rose to surprise Reyhan and Mizuki.

"Tell me one more time, I'll fill your mouth with this glass" Kanaya pointed threateningly. Gilang could only gulp his saliva, he was apparently afraid of Kanaya's threat.

Ting..

The apartment bell rang. Kanaya quickly ran to open the door while pulling a broom not far from the door to hit Rendy on the head. "Good history this time." said Kanaya who was very excited.

Instead Gilang felt strange, Rendy knew how much the password of his apartment, then why did Rendy not go straight in and press the bell?

The door opened and the shadow of someone opening the door began to be seen. Kanaya takes a swing to hit. But a voice that did not resemble Rendy was heard making Kanaya undo her intentions.

"Are you all here?" granny Rani shouted. Kanaya quickly drops her broom and greets Rani's grandmother with a friendly smile.

"Grandmother has arrived? Where's Rendy, Grandma?" asked Kanaya who was looking for the whereabouts of Rendy who did not follow behind Rani's grandmother.

"She stopped by the Wins cafe for a while and told me to go home early" replied Rani's grandmother.

"Why did Rendy go there, Grandma?" asked Gilang, but Rani's grandmother had not yet answered, Kanaya had run out of the apartment.

"She must have gone looking for Rendy and won't find her" said Rani's sweet-smiling grandmother.

"Don't fuck around, Ma. Mama hasn't seen how angry Kanaya is. Me and him are only a year apart but Kanaya is a lot scarier when it comes to anger" Mizuki warned.

"I know, but I won't let my great-grandson get hurt. That's why I told Rendy to let myself come here first. Later he will follow after I make sure Kanaya has gone from this building" said Rani's grandmother made everyone express themselves flat.

"Rendy, quickly climb up the stairs. Your mama is gone." whispered Rani's grandmother as she held up her phone, sending a voicemail to her granddaughter.

"Grandma really doesn't know anything about Kanaya. I was the only one who saw it until it creeped. Even he stared intently at Gilang as if he had a personal grudge with Gilang." Reyhan said.

Rani's grandmother did not care, she ignored Mizuki and Reyhan's words and instead rushed into Gilang's apartment. Not long after, Rendy came. He put his bag in his usual place and pulled the blanket and lay down.

"I have to go to bed before I listen to my mom's babble. It takes a lot of energy to survive" said Rendy who closed her eyes.

Outside the room, Gilang was busy typing. He just got an email if his subsidiary is screwed up. Soon, Gilang had to go out of town and fix it. However, he does not want to leave Rendy and Kanaya alone, fearing that someone would want to harm his family again.

"How's this? If I don't come, my subsidiary's problems won't be solved. But if you go, how will Kanaya and Rendy?" said Gilang while thinking hard.

While in other places, there are people who apparently know the problem of Gilang subsidiary outside the city. He also smiled because he got a chance to take Rendy from Gilang.

"Say she'll go, she'll have no choice. And I'm gonna take this opportunity to get close to Rendy. Happy Gilang no, I am satisfied to use his son. Big companies should need genius kids like Rendy whose brains and thinking behavior surpass Gilang" he said laughing out loud.

He grabbed a phone alley and called someone. "Dear sister, you'll get yours back. Hurry back home and I'll help you pick it up" he said before putting back his phone alley.

"Two people at once, Rendy and Kanaya. They must be prepared for the biggest problem of their lives. Who told you to dare to fight me, I will not stay silent" he said again with a red face and bulging eyes.
