Chapter 56. Gilang Rage

Gilang walked quickly to Rendy's ward. He stepped hard until he made his footsteps sound.

Tak.. Tak.. Tak...

Glazed open the door made the person inside surprised to see it. "How's Rendy doing, Reyhan?" tanya Gilang who looked at the face of Rendy who was lying weakly with a lot of equipment attached to her body.

"Say, how did you know Rendy was here?" asked Reyhan who was surprised to round his eyes, he seemed unable to breathe when he saw Gilang's flat and cold face.

"So you don't want me to know? Do you think you can hide this big problem from me!" yelled Gilang who started the emotion. Kanaya got up from her seat in shock. This was his first time seeing Gilang speak with a high tone of voice.

"Lan, I didn't mean it that way" Reyhan said, looking down. He did not dare to fight back if Gilang's anger had already reached the peak and was about to explode.

"What happened to Rendy?" tanya Gilang who returned flat and cold.

Kanaya quickly explained it before hearing Gilang shout back. "Rendy went to the cafe Wins wanted to meet someone who invited her to work together. However, the Wins cafe suddenly caught fire and Rendy below senior jumped into the flames." explains Kanaya who did not dare to look Gilang in the eyes. He was afraid until his sweat poured out.

"Who's senior? Your acquaintance?" asked Gilang who looked at Kanaya's face seriously.

"He was my senior in college, his name was Ramadhan" Kanaya said again who had not raised her head to face Gilang.

"Now listen, I've been talking to the doctor outside. He said that Rendy was in a coma and unconscious for a while. So whoever did it, I won't forgive. Please Kanaya, show me who your senior is. I wanted to find him and kill that person." said Gilang firmly making Kanaya even more afraid.

"Yes, I sent it to your phone" said Kanaya, who took her phone over a small cupboard next to Rendy's bed.

After getting a photo of the person Kanaya was referring to, Gilang immediately went looking for Ramadan. Reyhan also walked behind him despite being overwhelmed with fear with Gilang.

Gilang went into his company, met his employees who served on the ninth floor where the workspace is special to find out the biodata of everyone.

"Find this guy and give him all the information about himself. I'll give you 24 hours of work." Gilang ordered when he got to the room. Everyone just nodded, agreeing with Gilang. They then work hard to find the person who is meant by Gilang just by looking at the face of Ramadan.

"I know you always follow me, Rey. Let's talk to me in my room." said Gilang who went straight into his room. Reyhan followed quickly, unwilling to make Gilang wait for long.

When Reyhan's feet just stepped in, there was a loud sound from the falling item. Apparently, Gilang deliberately threw his things to vent his pent-up anger.

"Rey, I'm really disappointed in you. Before leaving, I warned you to look after Rendy and Kanaya while I was out of town. Not enough one week, there is already a big problem that overflows Rendy. Are you seriously doing it or because you had to?" asked Gilang who turned to face Reyhan who just kept his head down.

"I'm sorry, Lan." Reyhan said instantly.

"I don't need to apologize to you, I want Rendy to wake up. The doctor told me, only a miracle can make Rendy sober. That means, my hope for Rendy is very little conscious" Gilang said as she ruffled her hair, feeling frustrated.

"Yes, Lan. I also know because the doctor told me when asking about Rendy's situation. But, Gilang, Kanaya does not know this matter. I didn't tell him because I was worried about Kanaya" said Reyhan, who looked up at Gilang's face.

"Then, how now?" asked Gilang while sitting on his swivel chair.

"What do you mean?" ask Reyhan who does not understand.

"I'll help the team find out. Because Kanaya said, the man had jumped while carrying Rendy. But the body I haven't found yet. There's still a chance he got away and ran away from there leaving Rendy" Reyhan said.

"Well, find it quickly before he escapes any further" said Gilang, nodding slowly at Reyhan. Reyhan came out of Gilang's room and hurried to complete his mission.

Meanwhile in the hospital, Rendy's condition worsens. Suddenly Rendy has sudden convulsions that make Kanaya and Rani's grandmother panic. Kanaya ran quickly to call the doctor.

"Doctor, help my son!" kanaya shouted for help.

After Rendy was downstairs for a check, Kanaya contacted Gilang to come in crying. "President arrogant and stingy, come quickly to the hospital. Rendy's dying right now, Hiks.. Hix.. Hiks.." said Kanaya who immediately closed his call after talking to Gilang.

Not long after, Gilang came with a panicked face. He hugged Kanaya to stay calm. "Everything will be fine" Gilang said as he whispered to Kanaya.

"No, Rendy's dying. I didn't expect it just by jumping into a blazing fire to make my son die. Something must have happened to Rendy until she was unconscious. Aren't we?" asked Kanaya who got up with her body facing Gilang.

"Sir Gilang, I'm sorry. We suspect that if Rendy falls down and rolls until her head is hit making her lose consciousness. For that, I formed a team of nurses who would always be quick to help care for Rendy. Being late in the slightest can make Rendy lose her life." the doctor told Gilang as they spoke together. Gilang did not want to tell Kanaya until she did not answer Kanaya's question.

"What do you think, Rendy's head hit or broke a bone? Or what?" asked Kanaya while tugging at Gilang's body to tell her.

"Kanaya, sit quietly. Rendy won't be happy to see you like this." said Grandma Rani who pulled Kanaya's hand to sit nearby. Kanaya also complied while leaning her head on the shoulders of Rani's grandmother who stroked her hair slowly.

'I'm sorry, Rendy. I can't be the parent who can protect you, son. I'm sorry.' Suman Gilang is full of regrets.

"Just Rendy has to be sober, Grandma. I don't want to know." said Kanaya who was crying hysterically.

Mizuki just came after a short break at Gilang's apartment. He then offered his provisions to Kanaya. "Let's eat, you also need energy. When Rendy regains consciousness, she'll be very happy to see you healthy." persuaded Mizuki who knows Kanaya hasn't eaten since yesterday.

"The core food won't come down, Mizuki. I'm not a laper." refused Kanaya while thrusting back Mizuki's stock box.

"Don't do it, son. You should still eat even if you can't get down. It's for your own good. You don't want to make yourself sick when Rendy needs more attention from you as a mother?" added grandma Rani persuaded Kanaya.

"Yes, Grandma." answered Kanaya briefly.

Kanaya was forced to take the stock box that was brought by Mizuki to make Gilang a little relieved because Kanaya wanted to obey.

"Grandmother must also eat, take care of the health of the grandmother." said Gilang who turned to her grandmother.

"Grandmother can eat later after Kanaya is done. You also have to eat so that you can accompany Kanaya here." said Rani's grandmother who smiled slightly towards her grandson, Gilang.

The night returns, Kanaya and Gilang keep Rendy both inside Rendy's nursery. Kanaya continues to hold Rendy's hand so that her son can remember her and opens his eyes to see her.

"Let him rest, don't bother him too much." scolded Gilang who saw Kanaya playing around with Rendy's left hand.

"I'm so worried, really worried" Kanaya said with a sad look.
