Chapter 58. Staying Defensive

"If Mr. Gilang's son is unconscious for one week, we must take action to perform the operation. Maybe something happened to his brain." explained the doctor while talking to Gilang, while Kanaya and Riani sat daydreaming in a chair not far from Gilang.

"Does it have to go that far?" tanya Gilang hesitated.

The doctor then went from there to make Gilang shift to the seat beside Kanaya. "Doctor said, Rendy's condition is getting serious" said Gilang with a rough sigh. He became frustrated and sad, not knowing what to do.

"Rendy should be fine if it's just burning. But this, why is his brain in trouble?" ask Gilang who became confused.

Riani appeared in a hurry. "Kanaya, I have to go back to the cafe. He said there was trouble there. You stay here and accompany Rendy, let me take care of it." said Riani with a panicked face.

"What problem?" asked Kanaya who got up from her seat.

"I don't know, our employee just told me to come right away."

"Then let me know if you've reached the cafe" Kanaya said. Riani nodded and quickly walked out of the hospital. Kanaya and Gilang just stared at him from their seats.

"I have to go too, I want to find out about this fire. Later I send Mizuki and Grandma Rani to come with you." said Gilang who rose up.

"It's okay, I can take care of Rendy myself. I don't want to make anyone bother." replied Kanaya who got up while walking into Rendy's nursery.

"Rendy's my son too, that means my family too. But why do you always say that Rendy's just yours?" silang said with a disappointed expression. The sadness that Kanaya experienced as if she did not want to share with him, but Gilang also has the right to be sad and bear this burden because Rendy is her son too.

Upon entering his car, Gilang contacted Reyhan while looking around the hospital. He was afraid that someone suspicious might want to harm his family again.

"Where are you now?" said Gilang with twisted eyes.

"Still in the company? Why, you need something?"

"Rey, I want to go to the Wins cafe. I need to find out what happened to this fire. But I was afraid to leave Kanaya alone in the hospital. Please send some of our men to look after him and watch him from a distance" Gilang said.
