Chapter 60. Waiting for Papa to Return

The night was getting late, Rendy became anxious. The reason, Gilang has not come home yet and did not report anything to Rendy. Rendy who was feeling restless, paced back and forth in front of her bed while waiting for Gilang's return. Unlike Kanaya who sleeps soundly without feeling disturbed at all.

Rendy then sat down on the chair by the bed while thinking about what had happened to her papa. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps rang out from outside the room making Rendy run out to check on him as quickly as possible.

"Father!" scream Rendy.

"Well, why haven't you slept, papa?" asked Gilang while kneeling to welcome his son who was running towards him.

"How long time outside, Rendy to worry you" said Rendy to put on a sullen face.

"Could he be anxious, did he know what kind of problem we were in? He was a child, he did not understand anything." said Alvin who appeared from behind Gilang with Gilang.

Reyhan hits Alvin on the head after hearing Alvin taunt Rendy. "He is a child, but he knows more than you. The proof, he felt anxious when Gilang was not home, then you? Feeling happy because satisfied did not go to work." said Reyhan who walked away after saying it.

"Hey, Reyhan! You, you." said Alvin, who was upset first. Alvin then looked at Rendy with bulging eyes, wanting to scare Rendy.

"Uncle, what eyes are coming out? Wearing fake eyes?" pointing at Rendy with her innocent face made Gilang smile a little.

"What's? You don't understand this code? Huff, you little brat." said Alvin before going to walk into his room.

Gilang then looked at Rendy, gently rubbing Rendy's hair. "Come, let's go into the room. Let papa accompany Rendy to sleep." said Gilang who got up and pulled Rendy's hand to go into his room.

After arriving inside, Gilang continued to laugh at Kanaya's very cute sleeping position. It doesn't even look like a beautiful and talented Kanaya.

Kanaya's feet moved and it was a habit when she fell asleep. After he stopped moving, Kanaya began to snore.

"Geez, this is the first time I've seen a girl who sleeps so messily." - Gilang.

"She's not a girl. The girl means she has no children yet, while mom already has Rendy." replied Rendy as she patted Gilang's shoulder to wake up.

"Yes, papa forgot. Shouldn't Rendy sleep with me? Rendy hasn't slept with papa in a long time?" persuade Gilang while looking at Rendy's face fixedly.

"Why don't you sleep near me? Mama will definitely wake up if Rendy doesn't sleep nearby." replied Rendy.

"Didn't you see? Your mother has slept very well even without you near her" said Gilang.

"No, every twelve o'clock at night, my mama always hugs me. If I hadn't slept nearby, my mom would have woken up. Well, we talked to papa. It's eleven o'clock at night, papa sleeps well too. Rendy's going to bed, see you tomorrow morning." said Rendy, who said good night before getting into bed. Gilang only smiled while sighing harshly.

"Bye, papa sleeps in the next room. If there's anything, just go in. Papa won't lock the door." Gilang said before closing Rendy and Kanaya's room.

Gilang then went into his room, where Alvin was sleeping there. Quickly, Gilang pulls Alvin's leg and throws him on the floor, violently waking Alvin up.

"Well, what's up? Any tsunami?" asked Alvin who got up quickly while holding the wall.

"What is this, Lan? Tumben was angry at midnight?" ask Alvin who forgot if Gilang does not like to be entered his room without permission.

"Are you tired of living?" ask Gilang who approached Alvin slowly.

"Hoo, ho, ho, I know you haven't been romantic for a long time because you don't have a fiancee. No need to vent it on me." said Alvin who only realized after seeing the creepy look Gilang familiar with Alvin's eyes.

"I'm leaving right away, just stopped by for a minute. I thought if you slept in the next room, not here. But since you showed up, then I'm happy." said Alvin who ran convolutedly out of Gilang's room.

"Basar Alvin, I like to make my mood troubled" said Gilang in a slow voice.

Next Day...

The sun shines brightly when it appears on the surface, its rays quickly illuminate every corner of the world, not least Kanaya's room.

"Ma, Rendy has to go to school today. It's been a long time since Rendy's been absent" said Rendy, shaking Kanaya's leg. After seeing Kanaya's legs move, Rendy just stopped.

"Ma, what is like my mother's behavior when staying at the grandmother-in-law's house? Mama doesn't have manners? Why don't you wake up in the morning and help cook and prepare breakfast, maybe your grandmother-in-law will praise you later. Mama immediately escaped being a daughter-in-law." explained Rendy while filing her thumb.

Kanaya just slowly opened her eyes and then closed them again intending to sleep well again. Rendy's talk did not seem to make him persuaded to wake up early. For some reason, Kanaya seemed lazy to wake up today. The mood has turned bad.

"Hemm, don't bother me." said Kanaya who tried to fall back asleep.

Brakes..

The room door slammed violently making Kanaya shocked. Kanaya woke up with a embarrassed face. "Sorry, grandma. I won't wake up late again. I'm getting ready for the kitchen now!" kanaya pleaded without seeing who sternly slammed the door of her room.

"It's okay, son. Get up and help me get ready to go to school. Rendy's been absent for a long time" said Rendy, who mimics her Oma voice even though her original voice can still be heard by Kanaya.

An irritated Kanaya, pulled the pillow quickly while throwing it towards Rendy. Rendy also lowered her head to make the pillow float to Gilang's face which happened to come when she heard a slamming sound from Rendy's room.

"Sorry, Mr. Gilang. I was not on purpose." Kanaya said quickly when she saw Gilang's reddened face.

"Ha ha ha, papa is affected" said Rendy who was happy to laugh out loud.

"It's okay." replied Gilang while hiding his sour face.

"Sir Gilang isn't angry, is he?" asked Kanaya who examined Gilang's face while slapping Gilang's cheek hard.

'All you revenge, let this arrogant president know the pain of being slapped.' the newly excited Kanaya mutter after slapping Gilang's cheek.

"It's okay, I can't be angry because Rendy is still here and looking at us" said Gilang who knows what Kanaya means. It was obvious that Kanaya was deliberately looking for trouble with him.
