The Story of the Wind Wanderer

The Story of the Wind Wanderer
The Warm Topic #103

A morning that does not seem too bright with a sky full of clouds - not gray or dark, but has the possibility of significant weather changes. Altezza went down the stairs, had cleaned up and brought all his luggage, he said, and returned the room key to the receptionist guard who turned out to be the woman who was yesterday - just wearing a uniform with a light blue color different from the one yesterday.

When the man returned the key, his ears heard a conversation that interested him. The conversation was between a group of adventurers sitting at the end table of the tavern, and not too far away from the reception desk.

"The ocean went berserk last night" a man with blond hair told his three colleagues.

"It's not just the ocean, the sky does the same. The sky in the South was like anger, with lightning almost always flailing," the young man's timpal, brown-haired and fair-skinned, sit right opposite the man.

"If it's like that, how can we cross the ocean?" asked one of the two women sitting between them, a reddish-brown haired.

"But according to reports from some sailors this morning, the sea had calmed down again, but it did not seem to be the weather" said the wavy black-haired female who sat right next to the first woman.

"I heard, if the weather at sea worsens, there will be mermaids who appear and disturb the sailors," the previous male chimps with intonation were suddenly enthusiastic when discussing the mythological creature.

His friends laughed immediately and the first man refuted, "you're all there."

Their conversation certainly attracted the attention of Altezza, because Altezza himself will sail the ocean to go to the Eastern Continent. Finding out and getting information about the sea and the weather is very important for him.

"Topic that has been warm since sunrise" the receptionist told Altezza.

"Do you know anything?" altezza asked the receptionist.

The blond woman replied, "about mermaids?" while noting something in the thick book on his desk.

"No, but about the weather report this morning, and what they're talking about" Altezza said.

The receptionist chuckled, smiled, looked at the man standing in front of her and then spoke, "what they said was the news that had just appeared just before sunrise."

Altezza's gaze tended to the bottom after hearing what the receptionist's guard had said, as well as after hearing the talk of the group of nomads. His gaze looked back at the woman before him and continued asking, "what about the sailors in Aerheria Harbor today? Did they delay the schedule?"

"I don't know much, but there are some ships that choose to postpone their schedules for safety against weather that is difficult to predict in the next few hours" the blonde replied, then he approached a bookcase that was right behind him, took a notebook from there and returned to Altezza.

While reading her latest notes, the woman continued to speak, "but if you want to keep crossing the ocean today, I can tell you some ships that can take you to your destination, and they didn't put off their schedule today."

"really? Thank you for the help" said Altezza, looking pleased.

Altezza walked out of the adventurer guild after conversing a lot with the receptionist guard. Various information he had received, and he rushed to the port to take care of some needs before joining one of the ships that would sail the route to the Eastern Continent. The men were unable to board the passenger ships, as they on average delayed their sailing schedule until tomorrow. The only way for him to be able to go to the Eastern Continent today as well was to join a ride with one of the few merchant ships that just happened to be leaning against the dock.

The sailors seemed busy with their various tasks, ranging from tying three very large sailing ships to the dock so as not to be carried away by the waves, lifting items such as wooden boxes containing various objects, record each item and also the person who will ride it, ensure the condition of the ship, and much more. The port of Aerheria looks alive and very busy this morning, all of it can be witnessed by Altezza directly, he said, before then he began to take care of data collection and became part of one of the passengers of one of the existing merchant ships.

It turned out that it was not only him who had the intention to hitchhike on those merchant ships, though, but there are also many people who have the same intention and purpose after passenger ships decided to postpone their departure schedule on this day. Fortunately Altezza arrived early, and he got the front line, immediately taking care of the tickets in the locker guarded by several port guards.

It did not take long, Altezza was allowed to go to the ship he was about to board. Walk past some of the early docks, and head to pier four. On the dock is seen a very large ship with three sail poles that stand firm. The large white sails on the ship appear to have a motif of the sun shining with a golden yellow. The ship was a merchant ship belonging to the Kingdom of Neverley that carried some of the trade goods imported from the Kingdom of Lagarde. The merchandise stored inside the large wooden boxes would be delivered to the Kingdom of Neverley and the Eastern Continent.

Several sailors in white uniforms were screaming loudly when they were about to raise some wooden boxes on the deck of the ship, they were very careful. The atmosphere of the port is very massive and active, and it reminds Altezza to the atmosphere of the Port of Ormos owned by his kingdom - which also has a level of crowd and activity that is almost the same as the Port of Aetheria.

Altezza walked up the deck of the ship after passing several sailors who checked his ticket. When he was on the main deck of the ship, the man immediately looked for the most comfortable position to stand and lean on the edge of the deck, and looked at the view of the ocean that seemed very wide. In the distance the eyes can be seen a small silhouette of the land, so small Altezza had to squint his eyes to be able to see the silhouette of the Eastern Continent.

The air of the sea was very soothing, with the wind unceasingly blowing so hard that it made his robe and hair waving happily like his current mood. Altezza's gaze slowly lifted, staring at the blue sky filled with white clouds as he hoped, "stay like this, the sky. You look so beautiful and beautiful with the weather being clear" she muttered, smiling a little later.

Even so, but the head of Altezza was still filled with some warm news this morning, and was talked about by a group of adventurers in the guild. The receptionist lady of the adventurer guild also confirmed on the topic that what was being talked about had indeed happened last night.
