It was a beautiful and quiet night in Beladon City. Altezza was with a group of nomads he had just met. Those people were very kind to him, even they accepted the presence of Altezza like receiving an old friend. The group plans to depart from Beladon City tonight, and will spend the night in the middle of the trip adjusting the location on the trip. Altezza himself is not a problem with this, because previously he often traveled at night even though he was alone.
Eugene led the way, along with Aaron and Alaia they had to visit several stores in Beladon City first to complete the provisions. Altezza also bought a few supplies and supplies, although equipment obtained from previous villages was still in his bag.
"I think everything is enough" said Eugene, gathered together with his three colleagues on the side of a road crossing Beladon City.
Aaron turned his head, looking towards a large fountain with a single Hour of Sun Water on it as he spoke, "we can leave now for the capital, most likely we will meet midnight on the way, in the woods or hills before reaching the capital."
The Solar Water Clock was one of the methods used by the Kingdom of Neverley in knowing time. The shape of the clock is very simple, vertical like an hourglass, but there are two bowls or containers with different levels connected by vertical pipes. The higher container is filled with water, and the water will flow to the lower container through the pipe. And the time is measured based on how full the lower container is filled with water.
"Altezza, what about you?" tanya Alaia paid her attention to the black-robed, black-haired man standing in front of her.
Altezza smiled and replied, "i am complete, and I just need to adjust to your needs."
"Good, then we can head straight for the Capital of Neverley!" eugene looked very enthusiastic and excited.
The journey begins. The group slowly walked out of Beladon City, down the dirt road to the East, and through a vast expanse of grass and small hills. Altezza initially assumed that the plains of the Eastern Continent were just deserts, but that assumption was broken when he actually stepped on the Eastern Continent and saw it with his own two eyes.
The night sky looks very beautiful - not too bright actually because there are several sets of black clouds that cover thousands of stars above. The wind blew quite hard, and it felt cold even though it was still not too late at night. Luckily Altezza and his friends wore robes that could warm the body and adjust the weather.
Eugene and Aaron walked ahead first, Alaia in the middle-behind the two of them, while Altezza walked at the very back following his colleague's third step. The three people seemed to be busy talking to each other throughout the walk, even several times Eugene and Alaia seemed to laugh. Altezza deliberately did not enter into their conversation, he chose to look at the calm atmosphere of the night in the middle of the grass tonight, he said, he calmed his heart and felt like he was in his homeland, the Land of Zephyra.
The gray-haired girl slowed her footsteps until she walked next to Altezza and spoke, "why are you silent? Don't worry about us, yeah ...!" he said, smiling, and talking with enlarged pupils as he stared at Altezza's face.
Altezza nodded with a smile and said briefly, "thank you."
"Do you like nature? Your face looks carefree and happy when looking at the sky and the view tonight" said Alaia, looking at the black irises of Altezza's eyes, before then turning his gaze to look at the same scene as what Altezza was looking at.
"It's so damn well known, huh?" sahut Altezza, chuckling, "it's obvious I'd be lying if I answered 'no' to your question, '" he continued.
Alaia ended up looking up at the sky as she continued walking. The girl looked smiling, making her pretty face seem even sweeter. Both irises of golden-yellow eyes looked very beautiful, seemed to shine when looking at the beautiful sky tonight.
"I also love nature, especially at night like this. Back when I was a kid, my mom used to read my favorite fairy tale on the bed with the bedroom window wide open so I could see thousands of stars up there."
"By the way about fairy tales, what makes you want to travel in this Eastern Continent?" alaia suddenly spontaneously asked Altezza who was walking beside her.
"meaning?" tanya Altezza seemed a little confused and did not understand the purpose of the question.
Alaia's gaze then looked at Eugene from behind and nyinyir, "Eugene has the aim to explore one of the famous myths or fairy tales in the Eastern Continent, and the, it's a fairy tale about a giant snake that lives under the desert."
"It's not a fairy tale! There is a history that records the snake!" eugene turned his head immediately, hearing that he was being talked about by Alaia from behind.
"But I've read about the giant snake in fairy tale books" Alaia said.
"The snake is a mythological creature that the Kingdom of Neverley believes in, so you don't have to debate whether it's fairy tales or history" Aaron said in a calm manner, mediating the brief debate.
Altezza only gave a small smile looking at their attitude that seemed not to want to be too serious in arguing, and saluted Aaron's role as mediator.
"What do you think, Altezza?" alaia asked, turning her head and looking at the curious Altezza beside her.
Altezza frowned, and asked, "do you mean the serpent is a basilisk?" with relaxed intonation and second-guessing.
The steps of the three colleagues immediately stopped, once when it was on top of one of the small hills before entering the forest that is not far from the hill. Their gazes immediately turned to Altezza with curious expressions.
"You know it ...?!" tanya Alaia looked at Altezza up close.
"I thought you knew about the mythological creature!" cetus Eugene, smiling proudly at Altezza.
"But it's just a myth, isn't it?" tymphal Aaron.
Raising both his shoulders, Altezza answered the three questions by saying, "i myself do not know if it is real or not, so I want to make sure of it by going to a place on one side of the desert of Neverley Country."
Eugene laughed out loud and spoke in a very excited manner, "it turns out we have one goal, Altezza! Why didn't you say from the beginning!?"
Altezza looked astonished, laughing awkwardly, scratching his back head with one of his hands as he said, "where do I know."
