Located in the kitchen behind the church, there were several nuns who seemed busy preparing lunch dishes for the children there. The kitchen is very simple, the average kitchen equipment there is made of wood, even plates and cups are of wood. Altezza was also there, in the not-so-large kitchen, and helped Alia along with several other nuns.
There were only five nuns including Alia in the church, and one priest, Keiza. But they look always smiling and happy, especially when the moment of togetherness when preparing food. Altezza can see it from the eyes and facial expressions of the nuns there when cooking and concocting spices.
"You seem to be quite used to cutting all the lettuce, too" said Alia, approaching Altezza who seemed to be busy cutting some lettuce and other types of vegetables such as tomatoes and pickles.
"This is not a difficult thing, anyway," Altezza said with a smile.
Alia returned to the burning stove with a pot on top, before it was filled with slices of potatoes that had been peeled and cleaned by another nun. The blonde-haired woman seemed to be talking some things with her friend, before she grabbed a centong to make sure all the potatoes were being boiled.
It didn't take long, Altezza had finished cutting some green vegetables, and then gave them to a nun who was standing behind the fire stove that was close to Alia. The blonde-haired nun who was the same as Alia appeared to be heating the oil on top of her pancake. After the oil on top of the pot was hot, it appears he began sauteing garlic and onions to the entire kitchen flavor typical of both types of onions, fragrant.
"Thank you" said the nun after receiving a basket of leafy greens cut into pieces by Altezza.
Alia finished boiling all her potatoes, and then took them to the kitchen table to start cutting them. Altezza returned to the kitchen table, approached Alia, and helped her in cutting all the boiled potatoes.
"Do you want all these potatoes?" ask Altezza while cutting all the potatoes in the form of dice.
"This will be juxtaposed with the soup we are making, the children love it very much" Alia replied with a smile and cut.
Altezza turned his head for a moment, and saw three nuns behind him who seemed to begin to put some concoction of herbs and vegetables that he had cut into one pot. In addition, they also appear to put other potatoes that have been peeled and cut into it, and coupled with broth to create a very tempting aroma, fragrant and very appetizing. In addition to the menu or main dish, they also cook side dishes such as tempeh and tofu that are suitable to be juxtaposed with the main menu of the soup.
...
Finished cooking the lunch dish, Alia along with Altezza brought two fairly large bowls, and served them on a long dining table. The children who had been waiting there with Keiza looked very happy, they were impatient, and were ready with their bowls and plates on the table.
"Be careful, the soup is still hot ...!" alia.
"Lulu, wait a minute, yeah ...!" cetus Keiza stared at a reddish-haired little girl sitting right next to Arthur. He looked impatient, and almost got ahead of his friends to eat immediately.
"Hehehe ...!" Lulu just laughed and smiled.
After all the dishes were on the table, the nuns including Alia then occupied their seats in long wooden chairs. The nuns at the dinner table were also seen helping to get food from the large bowl to their small bowl, before Keiza appointed one of the children to prayer before eating.
"Before we eat, I want to appoint Arthur to lead the prayer before eating." Keiza who sat at the end of the dinner table spoke with her usual gentle demeanor, referring to Arthur as the prayer leader.
"I ...?!" Arthur looked slightly surprised, heading to himself with one of his index fingers with a questioning look.
Keiza smiled and nodded, as did Alia and Lulu who were sitting right next to Arthur. The boy did his duty, clenched his hands over his chest, and closed his eyes, saying, "My Lord, bless this sustenance that You have given us, and keep us from the torment of hell."
"Amin" said the children, the nuns, including Altezza, who sat opposite Arthur.
"Good meal!" the children happily exclaimed, picking up their spoons and forks, before finally starting to eat their respective vegetable potato soup that was still warm.
Altezza scooped his soup, and his tongue seemed to be immediately spoiled by the thick and delicious broth of the soup. He did not expect there is a very simple cuisine menu like this, but has a very pampering taste of the tongue.
"Hows it? Yummy?" alia asked, looking at Altezza in front of her who seemed to be immersed in the pleasure of the soup.
"I didn't expect it to be this good" Altezza said with a smile.
"Don't!!!" lulu exclaimed, as did the other children.
"Sister Alia, I'd like to add more, dong! Can't you?" cetus Arthur, lifting his empty bowl.
"Eh?! So fast!" cetus Keiza stared unexpectedly that it would be so fast that Arthur finished his soup.
Alia received Arthur's bowl with her smile, and then began to refill the soup for the boy, "his delicacies, yes ...! Do not rush, it can choke later," said Alia while reminding.
"Good!" say the children at the table with enthusiasm and cheerful attitude.
Altezza was among the happiness of all those at this dining table, and managed to be made to smile with the warm and harmonious scenery. They seem happy even though life is full of simplicity and sufficiency, it does not need something grand and luxurious to be able to create such a harmonious atmosphere.
