The Story of the Wind Wanderer

The Story of the Wind Wanderer
End of Winter #75

Much time had been spent by Altezza, and the moments and days he had been so eagerly waiting for finally came as well. The end of winter. King Aiden has also made a decision for himself, and the result of the decision has made him very satisfied and happy. The man gave permission for his son to wander. Altezza had also appointed someone he could trust to take his place in the palace and kingdom during his time away.

For readiness, this afternoon Altezza seemed to choose a weapon that would accompany him to wander in the backyard of the palace. Still in the snowy days, but the snow is not as thick as before. Not alone, the young prince was accompanied by a very active white eagle, flying here and there.

"Your Majesty, are you serious about this decision?" cetus Kenan, walking near Altezza was sitting on a long bench, and there were two swords and a bow there.

Kenan came with a paper that was the official letter of transfer of duty to him. The letter contained the decisions made by Altezza for his loyal bodyguards, and was signed and approved by King Aiden.

"Yes, I'm going to wander alone" replied Altezza then turned his head, looked at Kenan's sad face and said, "i need you in the palace."

Altezza made a decision that surprised Kenan, which was to move Kenan's work desk which usually only escorts him, will now fill the position of the work table owned by the prince. Not to replace the second prince, but Kenan will do all the tasks usually done by Altezza.

"Then what about you?" asked Kenan looking worried, standing beside the prince.

Altezza understood the worries Kenan was feeling. The man stood up from his stool, smiling at Kenan with a confident and sharp look he spoke, "I can take care of myself, Kenan. You know nature will always be with me, right?"

The wind suddenly blew very gently on the two of them, right after Altezza spoke his last sentence, and managed to make Kenan feel much calmer.

"Will Shiro come with you?" kenan asked, then turned his head and slightly raised his head, looking at Shiro who was engrossed in flight and circling under the beautiful blue sky.

"That's it, if Shiro depends on how nature blesses him," replied Altezza, smiling, looking in the same direction as Kenan when answering the question.

Kenan again lowered his gaze, and looked at the prince's handsome face as he asked, "when are you going?"

"In the very near future, and after the snow melts," replied Altezza, looking so happy when thinking about adventure.

***

On a clear afternoon and a very beautiful view of the orange sky. Queen Caitlyn is spending her free time with her youngest son in the garden next to the palace, in their favorite gazebo. The flowers and various plants in the park are still covered in soft snow white, yet they have not been seen to melt.

Altezza nodded confidently replying, "already! I'm going East."

The Eastern Continent seemed to attract the attention of the second prince of the Zephyra Kingdom, moreover he had read a lot about the legend of the Cursed Oasis that was there. Queen Caitlyn looks very supportive of her youngest son to wander, seen from her happy expression when she saw Altezza was also happy, especially when a decision from King Aiden had come down and allowed her to wander.

"What attracted you to it?" caitlyn looked quite curious.

"The legend" replied Altezza.

Caitlyn looked a little confused, and continued asking, "what is the legend?"

"Mother, don't know about the Cursed Oasis?" sahut Altezza, slightly tilted his head and looked questioningly at Queen Caitlyn who was sitting before him.

Caitlyn seemed to think for a moment, before then rounding out her two black irises and answering, "oh, that legend!"

"Which mother knows, the oasis is inhabited by basilisk that preys on humans, the target is mostly desperate travelers in the vastness of the sand ocean," she continued.

"What else do you know about the oasis?!" sahut Altezza, looking very enthusiastic, brought his parachute closer to Caitlyn with both hands propped up on the table.

Caitlyn was slightly surprised by her son's sudden reaction to being so enthusiastic and excited. The beautiful and graceful woman crowned queen then smiled, before then moving from her seat saying, "well, you haven't read about the legend for a long time."

"How about I show you a book about the whole continent? Surely the book that mother had was more complex than the book about the continent that was kept in the palace library," Caitlyn continued smiling to her son.

"You!" sahut Altezza, get up from his seat.

Queen Caitlyn along with her youngest son walked back inside the palace. Altezza seemed impatient to know what kind of book his mother had, especially Caitlyn said the book was more complex than the book stored in the palace library.
