The Story of the Wind Wanderer
Stories From the East #60

Adelia sat down on the chair right next to Altezza, and looked at the prince who looked serious and engrossed in reading books. The woman was actually quite confused by what really happened to Altezza who suddenly had a reading spirit that seemed very high.

"What's wrong? Is there anything strange about me?" cetus Altezza, without a single glance at Adelia who was sitting right next to him, knew that he was being watched constantly.

"Yes, you are very strange today, Your Majesty. What makes you suddenly excited about reading? It's not usually you like this" said Adelia, smiling slightly.

Altezza glanced sharply at the woman and said, "so presumptuous of you, huh ...?" and just getting a laugh response from Adelia that indirectly made her come with a small laugh and a thin smile later.

"Sorry, Your Honor," said Adelia Cengar-cengar innocence.

There were four books lying right in front of Altezza, including the one he was reading. Adelia grabbed one of the four books, a book with a golden eagle logo on its cover saying, "you know that the book that describes this country is more than ten books, right?"

"Yes, of course! My great-great-grandfather wrote it, which I may not know" said Altezza, without turning his head or glancing at Adelia who was next to him, his focus still remained on the pages of the book about the Eastern Continent he was reading.

"Just like books about our country, books about the continents in this world are actually many, many, it may not even be enough with all these books to tell and explain the vastness of this world, Your Majesty." Adelia suddenly spoke while opening and flipping through the pages of a book about the Land of Zephyra.

Altezza turned his head, looking at Adelia who seemed to be flipping through the pages of the book, before he asked, "do you know or have you read all the books?"

"All books, Your Majesty, except those in the forbidden section because I have no authority to know the contents of the books that are there," Adelia replied, he looked over for a moment and looked at the young prince.

"Then did you find out about this?" altezza said, showing the pages of the book he read. The page is seen explaining the mythical creatures of the Cursed Oasis dwellers who caught his attention.

Adelia looked at the page, read and saw a silhouette of a giant black snake with a dark aura. Answering the question, the woman said, "many folktales are scattered throughout the Eastern Continent that describe and explain this creature."

"Many variations of the name for this terrible giant snake, among many of the many names that exist, there is one of the most popular designations even recognized by the Kingdom of Neverley in the East."

"Callation?" altezza asked, looking very serious and interested in it.

Adelia nodded and replied, "yes, the name for this creature is Basilisk, and it is said that he was resurrected a century ago when the darkness of Demon King Lucifer invaded the peace of the world with evil forces and darkness."

"However, there are also many folklore in the East that say that the snake includes an evil spirit controlled and controlled by the Demon King Asmodeus" Adelia continued.

"Two Demon Kings?" muttered Altezza, looking to remember something in his past.

Adelia turned her head, looked at the young prince and said, "you should know the story of the two, and what happened 100 years ago on all five continents."

Altezza nodded and replied, "yes, when I was a child, King Aiden almost always told me about the great war that took place a hundred years ago when I was about to sleep, and he mentioned many times about the Devil Nation and those two names."

"I myself also know all that from books and folklore that are spread, because at the time of the great disaster I was not born yet" Adelia said.

The conversation between the two then split a few seconds later with the sound of bells indicating the twilight time had arrived. Altezza realized that he had spent hours in the library.

***

Altezza walked through the central garden of the palace, and headed to the main hall, before finally his steps brought himself up to the garden beside the palace. Approaching the gazebo of his favorite place, sitting there enjoying the calm atmosphere with snow that envelops the park in the afternoon today. Very quiet and silent, there was no presence of Shiro there. The white eagle seemed to have completely disappeared to nowhere. Although Altezza has been trying to find it, but it will still bring a nil result.

The wind was cold, gently blowing around the young prince's body which looked sad when he remembered Shiro. As usual, when the prince was lonely, the wind would always come with him, even invite him to talk or communicate.

"Yes, I know, it's weird but how else?" muttered Altezza, talking to himself with very low intonation.

"From the beginning Shiro is a unique eagle, even I just realized that his presence was not realized by the royal sorcerer, Welt alone was not aware of Shiro's presence in this palace," the young prince continued, recalling how he played with Shiro who seemed to be able to control wind magic while in the back court of the palace.

The wind again blows slowly and gently around his body, before then ending with a gaze that makes his clothes and hair wavy because of the wind. Altezza smiled and laughed as if he understood what the wind was trying to convey.

"Thank you" he said with a smile, before continuing to say, "if you meet Shiro wherever he is, please please tell him that me and the palace are always there if he needs a place to rest."

"Nature may be a beautiful and very comfortable place for Shiro, but this palace will always be willing to accept his existence if he wants to come back here" the man continued, it ended with a smile that seemed quite forced with her grim-looking expression.

After Altezza finished speaking. The wind again blew, circling back its body for a moment, before then going to fuse with the cold snowy air this afternoon.
