The Wear Apocalypse Book

The Wear Apocalypse Book
10

Today is the third day before the end of the world. The weather started to get very hot uncontrollably. People started complaining about the hot weather.

"What's with the weather today? Why is it so hot?" A bespectacled man wiped his sweat with a handkerchief.

"Noel today I'm going to pay a visit to the barkers' house." Adam took off his coat and loosened his tie.

"is it too early to go home today? " Noel's secretary Adam saw the clock still showing at 10. Noel's phone suddenly rang, Noel then went to pick up the phone.

"Adam something suddenly happened. There will be an important meeting in 5 minutes." Noel came back with a serious face.

"Prepare the meeting." Adam knew he wouldn't be able to leave the meeting so he called Jean immediately.

Jean was watching television while munching on her potato chips. His phone that no one had ever contacted suddenly rang.

"Adam? What's up?" Jean immediately picked him up when she saw Adam's name on the call.

"Jean I don't think I can come. The meeting situation was so urgent that I apologize, next time I'll come." Adam explained it. Jean just remembered that the infection had actually spread but there was still no news in the country's media. Only large companies that have branches in other countries are first informed.

"I promised I'd come so don't be mad, sorry I had to hang up first." Adam turns off his phone before Jean speaks.

"What's wrong?" Merril asked when he saw Jean's worried expression.

"Will grandfather go to the company?" Before Merril answered, Jean's grandfather's phone rang. Grandpa Jean took the phone seriously.

"Jean's grandfather seems to have to go to the company. There's a serious problem that Grandpa has to deal with."

"Grandpa let me come." Jean felt very worried, some people must have been infected, although there were still a few but Jean did not dare to bet. As for Adam, Jean had nothing to worry about because Adam would definitely be safe before the 10th day after the apocalypse arrived.

"Miss is this okay?" Merrill was a little worried.

"Calm down, didn't you see for yourself my strength?" Jean said in a whisper. Jean hasn't told her about the apocalypse to her grandmother and grandfather.

"Miss be careful." Seeing Jean's confidence, Merril no longer felt worried.

Jean and her grandfather went to the company, which was about 20 minutes away. Looking at the people who were still hanging around made Jean shake her head.20 minutes later Jean arrived at a very tall skyscraper.

"Jean do you want to take the meeting?" Grandpa Jean asked. Jean agrees to enter the meeting room, and she wants to know what information her grandfather's company has obtained.

Entering the meeting room, the managers had discussed so it looked very chaotic. The room went quiet again when they saw Jean's grandfather. Jean's arrival astonished them but they did not dare to ask let alone protest.

"Please start the meeting." Grandpa Jean sat down quietly.

One of the managers finally spoke. "Pak recently a strange situation has occurred in country B. One of our company's raw material suppliers comes from there, we've contacted them but we've got no response at all." Grandpa Jean frowned.

"What about other raw material suppliers? Did something similar happen?" Grandpa Jean asked. Usually, the company has a reserve of other raw material suppliers so that the production process in the company continues to run smoothly.

"Unfortunately the other channelers did not respond either." The manager looked a little scared.

"How did this happen? Find another dealer." The meeting room was very quiet, not a single one dared to speak. Jean sighed, knowing this would happen.

"Can one of you tell me what's going on in Country B?" Jean finally asked.

"You speak." Jean's grandfather orders one of the managers to answer Jean's questions.

"Miss, the weird thing we're talking about is the behavior of the people there. We don't know what happened, but we have news that cannibalism is there. People have gone crazy, they're eating friends even their own relatives." Egan spoke uncertainly, as if the news was likely fake.

"Zombie, it's a zombie." Said Jean. The managers don't know what Jean's talking about.

"Grandfather better disband the company immediately." The managers were in an uproar when they heard Jean's words.

"What did you just say?" One of the managers did not believe that the grandson of the owner of the company easily said to disband the company.

"I said, disband the company." Jean said indifferently. He doesn't care if they believe it or not.

"No way! How do we explain the company's dissolution to investors?" One of the managers thought Jean was absurd.

"Grandfather I want to talk in private." Jean said seriously. Grandpa Jean had no idea what Jean wanted to talk about.

"Can be delayed in 15 minutes." Jean's grandfather immediately took Jean into his office.

"Jean what do you mean disband the company?" Grandpa Jean immediately asked.

"Grandfather this world will soon be insecure. The madman they're referring to is a zombie, soon the virus will spread more into our country." Jean tried to convince her grandfather.

"But there's no way we can dissolve the company."

"What about selling shares? Grandpa pretty much sold the stock and no longer need to manage the company." Jean knew it would not be easy to persuade her grandfather.

"Grandfather didn't mean not to believe you."

"Grandfather I'll show you something to prove that I'm not lying at all." Jean took out her hand and once again showed her strength like she had done to the others.

3 minutes later Jean's grandfather managed to sell his shares to the Powell family.

"Eddie are you sure you sold your shares? This way you won't take care of this company anymore." An old man's voice was heard on Jean's grandfather's phone.

"Of course I'm sure, I want to retire. You know for yourself that in my family there is nothing I can inherit. Jean herself refused to take care of the company while Lauren's husband was unreliable, and my grandson Ethan chose to manage the company of my deceased son." Grandpa Jean said sadly, Jean only held back her laughter when she saw her grandfather's acting.

"You should be good at managing your son-in-law and granddaughter, you wouldn't be miserable like this even to the point of selling your company shares to me. Look at my granddaughter Serena, she's very good at managing the company." Dean Powell continues to speak flatteringly of his own granddaughter and begins to compare Jean to her granddaughter Serena. Jean and Serena naturally do not get along, it is because her grandfather Dean who continues to encourage Serena not to lose competitiveness with the Barker family.

"If there's no more need I'll hang up." Grandpa Jean couldn't wait to turn off her phone.

"I know you're sad. Take good care of yourself. " Dean's voice is not at all like a friend who is worried but rather sounds happy with the defeat of the Barker family. Grandpa Jean immediately threw his phone so Dean could believe that Grandpa Jean did not accept his defeat.

"Grandfather you're a genius." Jean praised his grandfather. He did not expect that someone would foolishly buy the shares at will without checking first.

"Of course he didn't know the circumstances out there so he bought it right away. We'd better get home soon, otherwise your grandmother's gonna worry." Grandpa Jean didn't forget to take the signboard on his desk.

"I no longer own this company. So please throw this nameplate away." Tobias was startled and took the signboard in a daze.

Jean and her grandfather went straight home in a bit of a hurry. But on the way accidentally see the incident that makes Jean paled. The streets were so jammed and it was caused by a foreign tourist biting people around and even killing one of his friends.

"Jean focus on driving!" Grandpa Jean immediately made Jean realize. Jean then looks for a shortcut and angers the driver behind her, but Jean doesn't care. After escaping from the traffic jam Jean immediately drove at full speed.

Arriving at Jean's house still came with her pale face while her grandfather looked dreamy.

"Jean did something happen out there?" Grandma Jean came straight to Jean.

"What's the matter, Miss Jean?" Merrill asked.

"The atmosphere out there is already starting to get messed up." Jean finally answered and her skin returned to its original hue.

"What's wrong? Did something happen? Husband what's going on?" Jean's grandmother did not understand what Jean was saying. Grandpa Jean then explained slowly.

"Wife are you angry?" Ask grandpa Jean. Usually he asks first the opinion of Jean's grandmother but the situation is so urgent that he just sold the company's shares.

"Of course not, your security is more important than anything else. I'm pretty glad you guys got home early." Said grandma Jean.

"From now on none of you will be allowed out, I don't know if you will be infected or not." Jean made the rules.

"Miss what about my parents? They're still on their way." Linda was very worried.

"Wait a minute, the infection still hasn't spread too far." Jean can only convince Linda.

The weather during the day is getting hotter, Jean even to lower the AC to the point of 12°C. Jean also asked Linda to make a chocolate pudding to make her throat fresh.

"Will the weather continue like this every day?" Mishael asked. He did not dare to play outside because of the extremely hot weather.

"Maybe. Get used to it from now on." Answer Jean. Mishael was not so happy.

"Why? Are you afraid of fainting from the sun?" Jean asked the two boys, but both shook their heads.

"I'm afraid my skin will burn and get dark." Liam said sadly.

"The two of you are men, so why are you afraid that your skin will darken?" Jean becomes convinced that Liam is a crooked man.

"In our village, the white man signified that he was rich and did not need to work in the fields. So we're afraid that brother will kick us out if we're dark-skinned." Mishael.

"Don't listen to that shit. Brother does not choose people based on skin color, after all men with dark skin sometimes look more reliable." Said Jean.

"really? Then I'll play outside so I can protect brother." Misael wanted to immediately discolor her skin.

"Don't right now, brother is worried that you will faint from the heat if you bask outside. The point of saying that is so that you are not afraid to have dark skin but that does not mean telling you to be dark." Jean patiently explained.

Jean's grandmother was watching a movie on her favorite television channel, suddenly the film was replaced with a news story.

"The country is in a critical period, a virus begins to infect. An infected human becomes insane and eats his comrades. The government made a decision that from this point on a temporary ban on exiting the house until the vaccine was found..."

"Vaccines are unlikely to be found anytime soon." Jean said pessimistically.

"Jean what's going to happen next?" Jean's grandmother asked, for some reason she believed that Jean was able to predict what would happen next.

"According to Grandma what will happen?" Jean asked back.

"The situation may not be under control. Even the government might assign the military to protect the public." Jean's grandfather replied with his speculation.

"Then what about people who don't have supplies in their homes like us?" Merrill asked.

"Not everyone is lucky to be saved. Maybe some people will ventured to find supplies by snatching them from the store." Answer Jean.

"Miss can you help me?" Linda cried frantically while holding her phone.

"What's wrong? Something happened to your parents?" Jean rushes over to Linda, which proves how important Linda is to Jean.

"Both of my parents were obstructed on the road because the bus driver fled after hearing the news on the radio. Miss please save my parents!" Linda knelt down pleading with Linda.

"Damn it! Aunt Linda take it easy. Let's go get your parents." Jean didn't expect something like this to happen, she still didn't want to face the zombies out there. Merril was terrified when he saw Jean emotionally.

"Miss is Miss sure?" Merrill asked carefully.

"Jean do you want grandfather to help you?" Grandpa Jean was also worried that Jean would lose her composure.

"It's okay. After all, how long should I be afraid of zombies? I promised to protect you." Jean decided to be brave.

"Miss thank you, I owe you a lot Miss "Linda was embarrassed because she could only trouble Jean and the others.

"It's okay bi, it's my job to protect all of you. Aunt come with me." Jean's frustration simply vanished when she saw Linda who was feeling uncomfortable.

'Jean fight! Fight for snacks!' Jean repeatedly encouraged herself not to be nervous about fighting zombies.

'Lord actually doesn't need to be afraid of zombies.' The system suddenly interrupts Jean.

'What do you mean?' Jean asked in surprise.

'If you manage to kill a zombie for the first time then you will get a tranquilizing necklace. The necklace will make the master no longer tremble or nauseous when facing zombies.' Answer system.

'Then why not give that thing to me now?'

'Can't' Answer the system flatly.

'Aren't I going to end up killing zombies? Give it to me now!' Jean urges the system to give her the necklace but the system no longer responds.

"Auntie let's go." Jean has given up and can only choose to kill zombies without the necklace.
