Fighting against level 2 zombies.

Lane and his subordinates were in a standby position while Jean was behind them.

'Can I fight it?' ask Jean.

'Certainly can, the power of lightning is more destructive than fire but that does not apply to special flames.' Answer system. Looks like Jean has to leak the secret of her ability again to someone else.

The zombie appeared to her in front, both her hands surrounded by flames but strangely did not burn her hands. When the zombie saw team Lane, it rushed forward while shouting obscure sentences.

"Foot!!" Lane's subordinate starts shooting but the zombie manages to keep his head from getting shot.

"Damn! What kind of living corpse is that?!!" Joe curses when he sees zombies skillfully dodging.

"Dodge!" Lane shouted as the zombies threw fireballs.they then lowered their heads to avoid the fireball.

"Bother!" Jean walks forward to face the zombies.

"What girl are you doing? Do you want to die!!" When Lane saw Jean standing in front of them, he was very scared.

"You protect yourself, if you can go, I can't attack while protecting you." Jean unleashes her power and electricity surrounds Jean's body.

"What's that?" Joe is stunned to see electricity surrounding Jean's tiny body. Lane and his subordinates were also shocked.

Zombies who see Jean's abilities are getting excited to attack. Jean tries to hit the zombie body with her lightning and simultaneously dodge the opponent's fire.

Jean smelled a charred smell, and she saw the end of her hair she had pigtailed.

"What are you doing?!!" Jean doesn't believe the zombie fire has burned the tip of her hair. The zombie did not understand what Jean was doing so he rushed towards Jean when he saw her speechless on the spot.

"How dare you burn my hair!" Jean's power suddenly surged with rage, in an instant the zombie was charred and fell on the spot. Jean does not pity the zombies that no longer move, he continues to hit the zombies with his lightning.

'The zombie master is dead.' Jean ignores the system's utterances and continues to strike the zombie with lightning.

"My hair...." Jean stopped snatching the zombie from exhaustion. He kept looking at the end of his hair that was a bit curly due to the burning.

'You're not bald.' Flat system speech.

'You don't know how valuable hair is to a woman. Beauty parlors have closed, maybe forever.' The system no longer retaliated, it did not understand the mind of its master.

"Girl are you okay?" Lane comes to Jean who looks persecuted. Seeing the zombies that had been charred made Lane's subordinates shudder in horror, they did not expect the little girl to be so fierce, fortunately they did not offend her.

"I'm doing fine. I'm going home." Jean was exhausted and wanted to go to bed.

"Wait, can you explain the previous incident?" Lane couldn't bear to ask, and Jean's ability just now would have made people's morale rise.

"I'm a user of abilities, you guys can also be like me, to awaken abilities you need crystals that are in the zombie brain but by agreement I will take all the crystal cores today." Jean parted the zombie head and took out a pale yellow crystal core.

"On how to absorb it you think for yourself. If there's nothing else, I'll go." Jean continues.

"Okay, be careful." Lane no longer restrains Jean and begins to ponder Jean's explanation.

"Goodbye Captain Lane." Jean smiles sarcastically and disappears from Lane's sight. Lane was pensive when he saw her, he forgot his subordinates had leaked his real name.

When Jean gets home, she searches for Liam.

"What about Liam? Is she okay?" Jean found Liam lying with a pale face.

"Miss what happened to him? Why did he get sick?" Ask Merril.

"He hurt a mutant animal if we don't save him maybe he'll turn into a zombie." Answer Jean. Liam felt guilty, he had caused a lot of trouble.

"So, you kill me now." Liam doesn't want to turn into a zombie and eat other humans.

"What did you say?! Brother Jean may have a way to heal you." Misael could not bear to kill his own friend, he and Liam had been through a lot together.

"Calm down, I'll save Liam." Said Jean.

"Sister I'm sorry, Liam I'm sorry too. " Liam crying.

"What are you apologizing for?" Misael looked confused.

"I envy you for getting Jean's sister's praise, then I see a cute animal and want to catch her so that Jean's brother praises me too." Liam replied in embarrassment.

"Foolish boy, I will often praise you until you get tired of hearing it." Jean smiled at Liam's honesty, he dared to admit wrong.

"I won't get bored." Liam shook his head with his face wet from tears.

"Alright I'll heal you first, remember my instructions well." Jean again directs Liam to absorb the crystal nucleus as he did with Aria.

"Now you try. Better with eyes closed." Jean reached into her bag and took out some white crystals and gave them to Liam.

The absorption process went smoothly unlike Aria and Liam had absorbed 34 white crystals.

'It looks like Aria is indeed lucky, fortunately I have prepared many crystal nuclei.' Jean thought.

'If many people like Aria then the zombies will be wiped out in a short period of time.' The system interrupts Jean's mind.

'Can my grandparents have the ability?' Jean asked curiously.

"Why? Is my ability useless?" Liam tried to bring out his power in hand but nothing appeared.

"It's not like that. You have the ability to control mutant beasts so it's impossible to show it now."

"It can, but you need to rest until you're completely healed."

"Miss what happened to you? Is miss okay?" Merrill had noticed Jean's clothes had been stained with blood.

"I forgot. I'm gonna go take a shower first." Jean went to her room and wanted to soak in the bathtub immediately.

'My system has met Lane early, whether the story will stray too far.' Jean was still soaking in the bathtub, she was pondering back the storyline.

'The price is about 300 white crystals.' replied the system. Jean had been psychologically prepared so she wasn't angry at the system when she heard the price.

"It looks like I have to work hard to collect the crystal nucleus." Jean then attempted to manually collect the crystal core.

Lane and his subordinates had successfully cleared the entire area of the Aslton Hotel. They rushed back to Adam's house.

"Adam I saw something interesting today." Lane sat down with Adam and sipped his coffee.

"What's? I didn't know you'd be interested in anything. Is that your future wife?" Adam no longer wore a formal suit like he used to wear in the office, but a t-shirt that did not take away his charm at all.

"No, even though she's beautiful, she's not my type." Lane doesn't want his wife to be as strong as him which makes him seem useless.

"Have you not forgotten Olivia?" Adam raised his eyebrows when he heard Lane was not interested in the beautiful woman.

"Don't talk about her, I'm talking about another woman." Lane is uncomfortable when Adam calls Olivia.

"Okay, I won't talk about it." Adam knew Lane still couldn't forget Olivia, but what good was that rude woman? Adam sometimes gets astonished at Lane's choice of women.

"That woman is from the Barker family, I heard the Browns and Barkers are business associates so maybe you know who I mean." Adam looks a little surprised when he hears Lane mention Jane.

"What's wrong with Jean? Did he make trouble with you?" Adam felt a little displeased when he heard Lane talk about Jane.

"No, he helped me."

"You mean?" Adam never thought his friend would meet the little hamster.

"She's a brave girl, she even divulges the secret that the crystals that are in the heads of zombies make someone have the ability. I watched for myself how this ability worked. " Lane put down the crystals he had collected.

"really?" Adam did not believe in anything beyond logic.

"So you want to try it?" Adam watched Lane observing the crystal nucleus.

"Of course, it's worth a try but I don't know how to absorb it."

"Let me see." Adam took out a single crystal core and grasped it, the crystal core then shattered into dust in Adam's hands.

"Hey! How did you do it?!" Lane doesn't believe Adam can absorb it with a single try.

"Secret." Adam smiled faintly, he did not want to tell Lane quickly.

"Quick tell me, do you want me to beat you up first?" Lane folded his arms as if he was being arrogant towards his junior.

"Do you dare?" Adam let out a small black flame in his hand. If Jean sees him then he'll call Adam a genius! Adam only needed one crystal nucleus to awaken his ability, besides Adam had a special fire ability.

"What's that?" Lane is stunned when he sees her, he does not believe that Adam managed to awaken the ability.

"Look at me, didn't I?" Adam displayed his arrogant face while showing off the black flames in his hand.

"Yes you are great." Lane looked at Adam lazily.

"Can you show me the effect?" Lane wants to know how great Adam is.

Adam chose the empty coffee cup and then threw the fire in the cup, the cup slowly melted and penetrated the table to the floor. Adam was surprised to see his extremely powerful fire.

"Is this sulfuric acid?" Lane was pensive to see the effect of Lane's black fire that still melted the floor to reveal the ground under the floor, the fire did not even stop extinguishing.

"Hey stop your abilities!" Lane wants Adam to put out his black flames which turn out to be able to make the ground burn. Adam then stopped his ability.

"It's even stronger than Jean's." Comment Lane.

"What power does that little hamster have?" Adam still played the black flame in his hand.

"Oh.. Looks like you're very close to him, even calling him with a little hamster." Lane mocked Adam.

"Don't approach him, he's my target." Adam said in a serious tone. Lane was shocked when he heard it.

"It looks like my friend has found a potential mate. I'm not bothering him." Lane then lies down lazily, she suddenly thinks of Olivia.

"Adam what happened?!" Mrs Brown was angry when she saw her beloved marble table that had been hollowed out by Adam's own abilities.

"Auntie it's my fault, I'll look for a similar table." Said Lane who woke up when she heard Madame Brown who was angry.

"Okay, it's okay." Mrs Brown didn't scold Adam when Lane confessed wrongly.

"You owe me. Now help me absorb it." Lane said after Mrs Brown left.

"Okay I'll." Adam then taught Lane how to absorb it. Lane absorbs 7 crystals to awaken his abilities, he has guessed that not everyone is as lucky as Adam. Lane awakens the power of Ice that matches the description in the novel.

Jean does not know that she has saved Adam by accident from the disaster that will happen in 9 days, she has also awakened Lane's abilities earlier than the schedule set by the novel.
