29. A group of High School Students

Jean came out carrying a katana on his back, he was not worried if the other party was a robber, with his current level, he could easily kill an ordinary person.

3 Men wearing high school uniforms get out of the car, they carry baseball bats and crowbars that are dirty with blood, one of them looks nervous especially when looking at Jane who looks suspicious.

"Why are you following my car?" Jean immediately asked without further ado with her disguise.

"We saw you go towards the city of N, so we followed you." Davin said honestly.

"Don't follow, you're freaking out my sister." Jean refuses, she doesn't want to protect anyone else.

"Brother, please. We just followed from behind and we didn't mean anything bad." Anthony pleaded, apparently Jean's side was not a robber at all.

"Anthony, that guy looks weird anyway, I don't want to follow him." Edwin felt Jean was too suspicious so he was a little wary.

"Your friend is right, I'm a robber, so you don't follow my car anymore." Jean wants to get rid of them.

Anthony : "..."

Davin : "..."

Since when the robbers were willing to admit that they were robbers, it seems that Jean deliberately frightened them.

"Anthony, Davin you two heard, didn't you? He's a robber, let's get out of here." Edwin was terrified.

"Brother don't joke, we're not kids you can lie to." Anthony seemed to have no confidence at all.

"You're still wearing school uniforms so you're minors." Jean refused again. Edwin and Anthony had resigned, they both could not fight Jean.

"Uncle, we're just following your car from behind, we won't trouble you at all." Nara knew when she got out of the car.

"Okay, I agree. If you guys are having trouble, I'm not helping." Jean actually wants to protest Nara for calling her uncle, but seeing Nara who looks skinny and pathetic makes Jean feel sorry for her.

Anthony and Davin are relieved, if they know that Jean will be good to a woman then they will ask Nara and Wenda for help from now on.

"But he still looks suspicious, he doesn't even show his face in front of us." Edwin was still worried.

"Uncle can you show me your face?" Nara asked in a polite tone.

"Why do you judge a person by his clothes? Then I'd think you guys were blackmailers pretending to wear high school uniforms." Jean refuses to open her cover.

"..."

They fell silent, only this time they met a spicy-mouthed person who easily reversed their question.

"One more thing, don't call me uncle, I'm only 24." Jean continues.

"Then how do we call you?" Ask Davin.

"Call me John. If there's nothing else, I'll go." Jean answered and left those who had not introduced themselves to Jean at all.

"That guy sucks." Edwin's comments were angry.

"Sst! Don't be so hard, he'll leave us again later." Anthony warned Edwin.

"What's the point of being with that guy? There's no, is there?" Edwin then returned to the car feeling annoyed.

"A group of High School kids?" Olivia asked when she saw Jean back, she had noticed from inside the car.

"Yes. A bunch of high school kids who don't know manners." Comment Jean.

"Why indeed?" Olivia wants to know.

"They accused me of saying I was a robber, they even wanted me to open a disguise." Jean sneers.

"But you do look like a robber. Look at your clothes." Olivia rolled her eyes, she thought it was only natural that they misjudged Jean.

"Why did you believe me then? Don't I look suspicious?" Jean was offended.

"That could be fate." Olivia was confused as to what to answer, she herself was confused as to why she trusted Jean at that time.

"Maybe you're right, fate as a stumbling block." Jean spoke faintly so that Olivia could not listen to Jean's entire speech.

"What??" Olivia felt Jean was saying something bad.

"No, let's continue the journey."

Jean returned to driving with an extra car behind her. Jean takes many detours because the road is filled with empty cars due to abandoned owners.

"If we keep this up, we'll be until tomorrow morning." Olivia complained.

"Sister, are we staying tonight?" Ask Liam.

"Yes we'll stay the night." Answer Jean.

Jean stops at a house that she thinks is quite safe.

"Why stop here?" Edwin seemed to want to protest.

"Do you want to replace me driving all night?" Ask Davin. He himself was a little annoyed by Edwin's behavior which continued to fear for no reason.

"Let's get down." Wenda switched their conversation, he deliberately so that there was no fight between them.

"You think?" Jean lazily answered a question she thought she already knew the answer to.

"..." - ".Nara wanted to complain that Jean was very difficult to approach.

The five high schoolers followed Jean fearfully, none of them daring to disturb Jean.

"I should have brought Mishael too." Jean complained when she felt her stomach empty.

"Let me cook." Olivia took the initiative to help Jean this time.

"No, who knows you'll poison me." Jean refuses, after all she believes that Olivia's cooking skills must not be as good as Merril and Misael.

"You-you! Did you underestimate my cooking?? Even though I'm like this, I used to cook in a little restaurant." Olivia said angrily.

"Sister, are they husband and wife?" Davin had heard Jean and Olivia's debate, he was a little curious.

"I don't think John likes Olivia, he likes to piss people off. Why am I talking about that guy?" Edwin still has a grudge against John.

Olivia uses the kitchen in the house, the kitchen looks dusty due to the abandonment of the owner of the house, the kitchen knife even only left one, apparently the homeowner uses a kitchen knife as a weapon.

Olivia cleans the kitchen first and then starts cooking.

"You're this??" Davin recognized this scent in an instant, this was the smell of meat and vegetables! The five of them looked at each other with sparkling eyes.

"It stinks of meat!" Edwin had long yearned for meat and vegetables, they had wandered around by eating only canned meat, bread and dry biscuits.

"Have you never eaten meat?" Liam wondered why they looked like fools when they smelled meat.

"Meats and vegetables are very difficult in can even impossible get fresh meat and vegetables today." Anthony answered.

"Are you poor?" Liam asked innocently.

Five of them : "..."

They don't know what to answer.

"Do you eat meat and vegetables like this every day?" Nara asked to be sure.

"Of course, the meat and vegetables I eat every day, it's not a rare thing." Answer Liam.

"..." - ".The five of them really wanted to say that meat and vegetables were truly rare things at this moment.

"Little sister, it's not good to lie, I know you want to show off deliberately." Edwin felt that Liam was dishonest and even intentionally wanted to insult them.

"Liam gave this to Toto, if he still asks then I will actually slaughter him this time." Jean suddenly came while carrying a basket of mustard. Liam immediately took the vegetable basket and gave it to Toto.

"..." - ".They finally knew that Liam did not lie at all, the vegetable was even used as animal food!! The five of them wanted to cry.

"Brother, why did you give that vegetable to an animal? Why not just give it to me?" Edwin stared at the deer with red eyes, he really wanted to snatch the vegetable from a deer.

"Are you eating raw vegetables?" Jean asked in surprise.

"Not like that, we want to cook that vegetable." Edwin explained.

They wonder why Edwin suddenly changed? Can food make Edwin turn into a sycophant?

"Give it." Jean extended her hand.

"What?"

"Give me 10 white crystal cores if you want that vegetable."

"Your brother is a little unfair, why is the vegetable given to the animal, is it not in vain?" Davin helps Edwin.

"Your strength has even lost to this deer, so why do you say it's a waste?" Answer Jean. The deer snorted arrogantly as if humbling the five High School children.

"But I don't see anything special about this deer." Anthony watched the deer closely.

"Do you want to challenge Toto?" Liam's eyes sparkled as if he had found a new toy.

"Sister, why are we doing challenges with animals?" Davin felt Liam's challenge made no sense.

"If you win, you can take these vegetables." Liam does not dispute Davin who demeans Toto.

"Okay, I agree." Edwin agreed to it.

"Edwin are you sure?" Wenda had a bad feeling in his heart but he did not know how to tell Edwin.

"If you lose, then the five of you will stand guard at night." Jean added rules.
