Lane is still upset, he leaves the base building with a grim face and unknowingly sees Emma being surrounded by several men.

"What are you guys doing?" Lane walked straight towards the four men. Emma cried when she saw Lane coming.

"We just want to have fun with this woman, do you want to save this woman and become a hero?" The man with the wound on his face said in a condescending tone.

"Take him off, otherwise you'll suffer the consequences." Lane said in a threatening tone.

"What can you really do?" The four men surrounded Lane, but Lane was not afraid at all. Lane immediately froze the legs of the four men.

"You!" The man with the wounds on his face was shocked then they looked frightened, he said, they did not expect to provoke an ability user and also they remembered that the ice ability user was a captain who had co-founded the shelter base.

"I'm sorry we.." The four men broke out in cold sweat, they had imagined the fate of what was next to be due to having offended Lane.

"From now on you're out of base!" Lane. Soon the four men fled after Lane melted the ice on their feet.

"Lane." Emma immediately slumped to the ground but supported Lane quickly.

"Are you okay?" Lane was a little worried about Emma falling over.

"I'm-I'm scared." Emma cried again.

"Let's go, I'll take you." Lane immediately carried the weak-looking Emma.

"The protagonist's luck is indeed very good, I feel a little envious." Jean looked at everything from afar.

'Sir, am I not considered your luck?'

"Including but I feel my luck is a little bad of the protagonist." Jean answered honestly.

'Ungrateful.' the system sneered at Jean who looked down on her.

Jean then returned to the building and walked towards Adam's office located on the 20th floor.

"Jean where have you been? Did something happen?" Adam looked at Jean who looked in a good mood.

"Yes, I found something interesting out there." Jean smiled as she recalled the feeling after successfully pranking Emma.

"From your smile I know that you're doing something bad on the outside, tell me what makes you happy?" Seeing Jean look happy made all the complaints that happened in the meeting room disappear in an instant.

"Why are you so curious? It's my pleasure anyway so I'm not obligated to tell." Jean refuses to tell Adam, after all she does not know if Adam will be fascinated with the female protagonist.

"Well, I won't ask again."

"Are you okay?" Jean sees Adam's face looking calm but this does not guarantee that Adam is okay.

"It seems you've heard the news. Yes as you know that I am no longer the leader of the base and from now on I am free, I do not mind if the position of leader is taken over by Lane." Jean watched Adam's expression closely, after seeing that Adam really did not bother about the position of the leader to make Jean a little relieved.

"What's wrong? Are you worried?" Adam looked directly into Jean's eyes. Jean inexplicably felt a little nervous when she was stared at by Adam and her cheeks were hot.

"Adam are you okay?" Lane suddenly enters and breaks the awkward atmosphere between Jean and Adam.

"Damn." Adam cursed Lane by accident.

"What's wrong with you? Are you angry that I took your position?" Lane is unaware of the cause of Adam's annoyance, while Jean is a little absent-minded after hearing Adam's curse.

"J-john?" Lane finally realizes Jean's whereabouts. Jean recovers from her thoughts and sees Emma following Lane, Emma and Jean seeing each other.

"Oh yeah this is Emma, I accidentally met her when I picked up the mayor. Emma these are my two best friends, Adam and John." Lane does not seem to want to leak Jean's disguise so Jean is relieved.

"Greetings." Said Jean. Emma is a little surprised to see Jean, she doesn't expect Jean's status to be the same as Lane's, but considering how Jean set her up earlier makes Emma's impression of Jean a little bad.

Emma then notices Adam who is no less handsome than Lane, if Lane has the dashing aura of a soldier eating Adam has the serious aura of a businessman, both equally attractive in the eyes of women.

"Greetings know too." Reply Emma in her soft voice with a hint of embarrassment. Adam only glanced at Emma at a glance, he was not at all interested in the weak type of woman who always took cover behind a man's back.

"Yes, I think opening a gun shop would be very profitable at times like this." Answer Jean.

"Isn't it dangerous? I don't think it's worth the risk." Adam disagrees with Jean's idea this time.

"You don't have to help me find a gun, I've had enough myself." Jean doesn't want them to know the secret so she doesn't say where the weapon came from.

"I still disagree." Adam refuses, he doesn't want Jean to risk her life just for the crystal core.

"Lane I want to talk to Adam." Jean knew that Adam would never let her open the store if she didn't tell him her secret.

"All right." Lane and Emma leave Adam's office.

"What's wrong? Do you still want to open a shop?" Adam was a little unhappy with Jean's determination which he considered dangerous.

"Adam can you be trusted?" Jean denies her feelings for Adam, but today she realizes that she does indeed like Adam.

"Of course, why ask like this?"

"Can you promise not to reveal my secret?" Jean looked at Adam bravely to make sure that Adam did not lie.

"I will never reveal your secret even if I am tortured to death." Jean was relieved after seeing Adam's seriousness. He then told Adam about the system, but he did not tell him that he was actually from another world.

"Can you show me?" Jean agreed. Jean then took out some vegetables and spices, Adam did not expect Jean would have a secret of this magnitude.

"Then what about guns?"

"I need a crystal core, at least 70 white crystalline nuclei." Adam then took out 70 white crystals and handed them to Jean. The crystal disappears in Jean's hand and then a semi-automatic pistol appears.

"Hows it? Do you believe it now?" Ask Jean. Adam still does not believe in the existence of the system but given the emergence of the ability to make Adam believe that this world allows a variable that looks unreasonable to appear in this world.

"Yes I believe it now." Adam looked at the gun carefully.

"If I open a shop I might need a sizable capital, so I only take orders this time." Jean had thought about it long before.

"I'm willing to spend money on you, your shop will also be managed by Noel." Suddenly Adam gets an idea to get close to Jean, he wants to take a step forward.

"really? Then what percentage of the profit do you want to take?" Jean is pleased with Adam's proposal, she won't bother to travel back and forth from her home to the base.

"Of course, Noel has been unemployed all along. As for the profit, it was actually unnecessary." Adam decided not to be stingy towards his future wife, he needed to improve his already bad image.

"really?" Jean looks at Adam to test if he is lying, after all Adam is notoriously stingy from the time when they entered high school even though Adam came from a wealthy family, he always bought the cheapest food and drink.

Jean still remembers the incident where Adam used to gather with his friends at one of the restaurants when Adam's birthday was celebrated, Adam comes home with a bad face when he sees the restaurant bill and he recounts his frustration with Jean.

"I'm not stingy." Adam said, but Jean still seemed to be in disbelief, Jean was very familiar with the stingy nature of Adam when it comes to money.

Adam's face suddenly approached Jean's face, leaving Jean shocked.

"I'm chasing you so I won't be stingy for you." Jean was in a daze when she heard Adam's honest confession.

"Don't approach another man besides me, otherwise I'll burn that man to ashes." Adam put his lips to Jean's ear. Feeling Adam's warm breath on his neck made Jane take a step back.

"Adam you scared me." Jean was relieved when Adam no longer approached her.

"I'm serious, I'll burn any man who wants to take you away from me." Adam said with a smile. Jean felt her hair sitting on her feet when she saw Adam's smile.

Jean finally gets out of Adam's office, Jean feels her power drained after hearing Adam's threat.

"Did I enter the demon's lair just now?" Jean wonders if she doesn't know Adam at all, she doesn't know if Adam changed when they split up at the University or if Adam has had that trait before.

'Master I think Adam's threat will really be done if you approach another man.' the system said.

"Can I stay away from Adam?" Jean wanted to cry, this time she actually got into a trap.
