Towards Eternity

Towards Eternity
Ch 490's. Du Zhe

Dimension of Origin Early.

Thousands of kilometers from Black Sand Island, there is an island that is slightly smaller than Black Sand Island, but still has a very large area.

The island is named Fanrong Island, and has almost the same climatic conditions as Black Sand Island, except for some aspects, this island is arguably its twin.

With millions of people living on it, the island has a system of government that is an empire. An emperor led the entire prosperous island, and made the name of Fanrong Island very famous as far as the neighboring islands. This empire was named Fanrong Empire, and the Emperor who led it was named Emperor Shengshi Huangdi who was very famous for his kindness.

But what is this bushmur of Fanrong Island? Every side of light must have a dark side, as well as Fanrong Island.

In addition to the imperial glory that made Fanrong Island so famous, there was another side of this island that was hidden by the empire from the eyes of the people outside the island.

The other side of this was slavery which was a system set forth directly by the Emperor, Shengshi Huangdi himself. He divided a special territory into a slum devoted to those who were unworthy of being his subjects, and those who live in it will be employed as slaves by force to do various kinds of labor for free.

Do those living outside the slums accept this system? You could say they rejected it, but they also could not deny the fact that with this slavery system, the island where they lived became more prosperous, and more prosperous, except in the slums which are the abode of slaves.

In this slum, there lived an eight-year-old boy who was nothing but a slave.

He lives alone in this place because he is an orphan. He used to be a commoner living outside this slum, but since both his parents died from being killed by his own uncle a year ago, he was thrown into this place for being sold by his uncle.

Fortunately for him, the people who live in this slum are willing to take care of him and help him in doing work. Whether it was rough work or something else, there would be someone willing to help him if he was in trouble for the whole time he had been in this place.

This month he even a year here, dak Du Zhe has been able to work independently to complete his work.

His still-child physique had been forged in this place, and made him successfully become a Martial practitioner independently without doing any martial arts training.

This proved that he was indeed talented from birth, but even so, his achievements had to be wasted as he was currently just a slave who would continue to do the dirty work for the rest of his life.

***

In a food storage warehouse located in one of the cities in the slums.

It was seen that Du Zhe slipped between the boxes of wood that were not neatly arranged and entered the warehouse.

He nimbly picked up a few bags of meat and some fruit in the barn, before he immediately came out through a small fentilation at the back of the barn.

With confidence he landed on the ground and fumigated away from it, but then a wooden stick immediately moved and hit his small body to make him hit the wall of the warehouse and drop all the items he had taken before.

"Well! You can't dodge this time, boy! We found you directly stealing in this storage shed, there's no more reason you can give us!"

It was seen that a fully clothed soldier pointed at the face of Du Zhe who was lying on the ground helpless from receiving those punches and hits.

Even though he had become a Martial Practitioner, he was only at the 1st level of the Foundation Base, and there was not a single martial skill he was good at, either, so receiving a blow from a soldier would seriously injure him.

"Du Zhe, you've always taken refuge among the slaves who have martial skills so we can't punish you, moreover we have no evidence of your actions. But this time it's different, you obviously got us stealing in a storage shed that's gonna get punished."

Another soldier standing in the previous soldier joined the ceremony.

The two immediately picked up the food that Du Zhe had taken on the ground, then he took the boy with them to the center of the city where many slaves were seen working under the supervision of the soldiers stationed there.

The attention of many people was immediately directed at him the soldier and also Du Zhe who was brought by them.

The slaves looked surprised to see the figure of Du Zhe especially the female slaves who had been taking care of Du Zhe all this time.

"Du Zhe?! Hey, it's Du Zhe!" exclaimed one of Dnegan's slaves in a surprised voice.

"What did you guys do to him?! Hey, get your hands off her!!"

An aged male slave, stepped forward and confronted the two soldiers who were carrying Du Zhe.

The two soldiers stared lowly at the man, then unreservedly kicked him and knocked him several meters away.

"remove! You slaves should know your place! All of you are slaves who only work for the Emperor to prosper this Fanrong Empire! You are given food and drink every day is a gift that you should be grateful for!

But look at this! A boy who was a lowly slave had dared to steal from the storage warehouse! Is it because we haven't killed any of you in half a year that any of you are starting to forget the punishment we can give you, huh?!"

The soldier carrying Du Zhe raised his small body and showed it to everyone there.

"You have been given too much leniency, until you forget that more are just slaves! Looks like we need to show you our cruelty again so you don't dare to do anything about it!"

Shuck buck....

Du Zhe's body was thrown to the ground, and it looked as if he was grimacing in pain.

The soldier who had previously taken him, had now held his wooden stick in his hand again and quickly swung it at Du Zhe's body.

PRACK!!!

A loud sound rang out from the pounding of the wooden stick that hit his body.

The female slaves were all unable to contain their cries and immediately begged to release Du Zhe but not a single soldier listened to them.

Du Zhe continued to be beaten until the wooden stick used to hit him was broken and then the soldier who hit him stopped. But then the soldier instead continued by kicking Du Zhe who was already in a terrible condition.

Blood from both of his noses, and also bruises filled his entire body.

Ten minutes later, the soldier who tortured Du Zhe finished beating him and threw him at the other slaves.

"Go get him! There is no food ration for him tonight, if he is caught giving him food, then he will also receive the same treatment as that boy!" exclaimed the soldier and left with his partner to bring the food that had been stolen by Du Zhe back to the storage warehouse.

The slaves immediately brought Du Zhe to heal his wounds in a large tent which was the residence of the slaves.

"Du Zhe, why are you still doing that, son? You don't have to steal for us anymore, we're satisfied with our daily food rations, son. Don't waste your life for us" said a slave girl in her fifties.

He wiped the blood on Du Zhe's face and cleaned his wounds.

"True Du Zhe, don't do that anymore. Our age is no longer long, not at all comparable to you who still have not felt this world." Another boy spoke.

Du Zhe was weak, crying and biting his lower lip while clenching his hands.

"We are only slaves, until we will forever be slaves. If we do not fight, then we will continue to be despicable and dirty slaves" he said with his eyes shiny because of the light.

"Don't be stupid, Du Zhe! You survived this time alone is already a miracle! Don't you know how hurtful we are to see you beaten up like that?! If I could, I'd like to replace you with all those punches and kicks!"

From the direction of the crowd, an old man whose right eye was blind walked towards Du Zhe who was being treated.

"But grandfather, we are human too! Isn't it natural to have freedom?!"

The old man clenched his hands and unceremoniously punched Du Zhe in the stomach.

"Stupid kid! You're an eight-year-old! Don't say anything about freedom to all of us here! To be able to live up to this moment was also a real blessing from the gods to all of us!

But you're different, Du Zhe! You are a child blessed by God! You were given the talent to become a Martial Practitioner! Do you know how many people want to be able to become a Martial Practitioner like you?! Thousands, no, but millions! But they couldn't because they didn't have talent!

Therefore, Du Zhe. Please listen to all of us, and stop doing stupid things. We will try to get you out of the shackles of this slavery, and out of this filthy place so that you can become a true Martial Practitioner....."

The longer he spoke, the old man couldn't help himself and then cried with a smile to Du Zhe.

The previously hit Du Zhe tried to endure the pain he felt, and remained silent listening to the old man's words.

Silent for a moment, he nodded weakly. Everyone's happy to see that.

After his injuries, they all left him and continued their work, before the soldiers came and punished them.

The weakly lying Du Zhe turned his head to the right and to the left, making sure there were no more people inside the tent before then standing up slowly and walking out of the tent stealthily.

He continued to stare at the surroundings and finally slipped out of the city.

The outside of the city was a dense forest where many wild animals were deliberately left to make the slaves no one dared to run away.

At one end of the city, a figure of Du Zhe who walked into the forest and followed a path covered by bushes before.

He continued walking down the path until he arrived at a small waterfall about three hundred meters from the city.

Du Zhe also walked along the path and took him to the back of the waterfall where there was a hidden room where there was a lot of used stuff in it.

Without hesitation he entered and immediately lay on a bed there. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

On the outside, above the river not far from the waterfall.

Suddenly a bright light appeared and made the rather dark environment become light.

Not long after that the figure of a young man along with a giant ape appeared above the river just as the light disappeared, and fell into the river.

The young man looked unconscious, on his whole body were bright blue tones, while the ape who was with him was in an equally bad condition. He picked out many wounds on his body.

PSHHH!!!

Water gushed in all directions, and the sound of a giant ape body pounding on the water made the figure of Du Zhe who was asleep immediately re-awakened.

He blinked a few times before coming out from behind the waterfall and walking towards the direction where the young man with the ape had appeared.

As soon as he arrived, Du Zhe's mouth immediately gaped at the figure of the young man with the ape.

Because of its enormous body, the body of the ape did not enter fully into the river, while the young man with him was seen lying on top of the giant ape's body.

When Du Zhe got there, the unconscious young man began to open his eyes, and turned towards Du Zhe.

"Son..tell me that this is still on Black Sand Island.." said the young man in a weak voice.

Du Zhe fell silent and opened his mouth.

"Black Sand Island? I don't understand your point. This place is Fanrong Island" Du Zhe replied.

The young man blinked, and put on his wry smile. He faced the sky and spread out his hands. The dark sky makes the stars visible.

"Teacher.you made us teleport too far away like that....."
