Towards Eternity
Ch 491's. The Loss of All Tournament Prizes, Gifts From the Lodging Owner

Dongwu Island is an island in the middle of nowhere where live wild animals in very terrible numbers.

This island has an area of one quarter of the area of Black Sand Island, but entirely overgrown by dense trees.

There is a kingdom that stands on this terrible island, the Lion Kingdom of Fire, led by a king who is the strongest man on the island.

With a harsh environment due to the abundance of wild beasts, you could say the people who live on this island are those who are ready to risk their lives every time.

On this island, humans and beasts have reached a stage where it is impossible for them to make peace and every chance they will always be involved in battle.

To be able to continue to defend themselves, the Fire Lion Kingdom made mandatory military regulations for all children aged 12 years and over, whether they are women or men. Thanks to that, the Fire Lion Kingdom did not lack an army to fight against beasts.

Why do they fight each other like that?

It all started about a few hundred years ago, where a group of people came to this island and started building settlements, even though the island is completely owned by wild animals, and recognized by neighboring islands.

But due to the approval of the leader of the beasts living on Dongwu Island, the group was allowed to build a settlement.

At first the group only made a small village inhabited not up to a hundred people, but slowly another population increased and reached the number of thousands.

The small village was previously turned into a city, which then developed further and became an empire on the island.

The leader of the beasts was furious about the incident, and ordered to destroy all the humans on their island, but then it was too late. The figure of an extremely powerful Martial Practitioner had lived and become the king of all the humans on the island, and led all the humans to illuminate the beasts.

Until hundreds of years later, this dispute has not been extinguished, and from both sides obviously no one wants to budge, especially. the wild beasts who felt that this island was theirs and humans were just hitchhiking.

No one knows when the humans and beasts living inside Dongwu Island will reconcile, but obviously because of the fight of the two, many casualties have fallen.

In the depths of the Blood Forest, one of the territories belonged to the ferocious beasts.

A bright blue light illuminated the night sky above the forest. The ferocious beasts all looked noisier because of this. Roars, howls and growls filled the entire forest, until finally the light disappeared and two shadow spots fell from the sky.

The two shadows violently smashed into and crushed the trees that were below them, and produced quite a big bang.

All the weak beasts around ran away, too, while the ferocious beast that had great strength and intelligence began to approach and reached a small crater where it was seen in the middle there was the figure of a giant elephant and a young man lying on it.

The young man opened his eyes and turned his head to his right and to his left while slightly yawning from drowsiness.

"Hm? The night? Isn't it still noon?" said the young man who then stood up and looked at the large elephant he made a bed to sleep on.

Flashing a few times, the look on the young man's face immediately changed and immediately saw the surrounding that only had trees.

The young man quickly beat the body of the elephant beneath him, trying to wake him up.

"Oi! Oi, wakeup! Where are we?! Get up the damn elephant!" maki the young man was in a panic.

At the same time, several figures of ferocious beasts came out from within the darkness of the forest, and drew closer towards the young man.

A tiger with a large body was more or less the same as the elephant under the young man leading in front of the other ferocious beasts.

"Grrrr....human.....what are you doing in our territory...?" the tiger asked in anger.

He showed his long fangs, and his claws, trying to intimidate the young man.

The young man looked unconcerned with the beasts approaching him, and kept trying to wake the giant elephant until he finally got up and put on an expression as surprised as the young man.

"What the fuck?! Where am I?!"

The elephant immediately got up and looked around. The young man who was on it moved down from his body, and scratched the back of his head that was not itchy.

"Hey you stinky elephant! You remember me, don't you? It's me, Ying Luan, who is in the arena," the young man told the elephant.

Looks like the elephant is not happy to be called with the word 'smell' by the young man but at the same time he wants to throw away in advance the affairs that are not important according to him.

"I don't know your name, but you're not one of the Phoenix girl's friends, right?" ask the elephant in his inner voice.

"Phoenix Girl...? Ah, you mean Mei? Yes, that's really me! You remember me as it turns out. Then where are we now? Do you know?"

"I don't know either. The bright light before really made my head dizzy half to death, and it was already in the middle of the forest like this" the elephant replied honestly.

The figure of the young man who was none other than Weng Ying Luan frowned her forehead, and let out a long sigh.

He turned his gaze to the 0ara ferocious beasts that had surrounded the two of them.

"Maybe they know where we are now. You wait here, and don't go anywhere, okay?"

The elephant just silently looked at the ferocious beasts around them and smiled in his heart.

"Hmp, arrogant boy. You'll die before you realize that they all have powers that almost match mine."

Weng Ying Luan took a step forward, and lifted up her ape shirt and put on a faint smile at the huge tiger before her.

"Well, you want to tell me where it is now, or wait for me to beat you up first?"

The Arena of Matches, a few two hours after Weng Lou and the others disappeared from the arena.

There was an uproar, and many Martial Practitioners who were subordinates of Zu Zhang were ordered to comb around them, and search for the whereabouts of Weng Lou, Weng Ying Luan, Lin Mei, Ying She, and the whereabouts of Weng Lou, as well as the three beasts belonging to Zu Zhang except the giant snake that had died from suffering a huge wound in his stomach.

In Zu Zhang's study, Zu Zhang, Yi Chen, is seen, Hao Lang and Feng Lang were standing and facing off against a very familiar old man and would be recognized by Weng Lou and his friends if they saw him.

This old man was none other than the owner of the inn where Weng Lou and his group stayed for 3 weeks or better known to the outside world as the Uncompassionate Si, Meiyou Lianmin.

It looked as though the gripping air that Zu Zhang had let out upon seeing his figure and his soul force started to overflow within his body.

He did not hide the slightest hint of his killing naps to the figure of Lianmin in front of him.

"Old man, just admit it, you stole all the tournament prizes, didn't you?! And also, you must have made those kids disappear!" Just confess!" Zu Zhang pointed at Lianmin who was just smiling mockingly at him.

"Why would I steal such toys? I'm much more interested in Yi Chen's disciples compared to the gift you mean," Lianmin replied as she shrugged her shoulders.

He casually walked over and then sat down on one of the chairs that was inside the room belonging to Zu Zhang.

"Hey, do I know at least that shame to take someone else's student?"

Yi Chen was silent. He did not know whether this Lianmin before him was lying or not because he could not read the vibrations on his soul power.

"Senior, you know it's urgent, and there's no time for us to stay here waiting for your answer. So if you know anything, please tell us." Hao Lang opened his voice.

Lianmin looked at him and smiled.

"It was not me who stole the tournament prize, nor was I involved in eliminating the disciples of the Northern Heavens Sect," he said quickly.

"Liar, I can't believe you didn't do anything!" Zu Zhang sneered.

"You can't believe what I'm saying, but that's the truth. Even if you search to the deepest part of my soul though you won't find anything to do with what happened today."

Zu Zhang gritted his teeth. Everything that happened today was so fast, and he couldn't even digest it until now.

Sometime after Weng Lou and his friends disappeared from the arena, he was told that all the tournament prizes that had been well saved in a room under the arena field, simply vanished from their places.

Because of this, Zu Zhang also felt a headache that was so bad. Not only the participants, now even the prize worth hundreds of thousands of gold coins disappeared.

Over the past two hours, he had been with Yi Chen, Hao Lang and Feng Lang had combed over half of the Black Sand Island's Central Region, he said, but there was not a single sign of the existence of Weng Lou and the others in the slightest.

They all returned to the Arena of Matches building, and it was only then that they realized that Lianmin had been in the arena all along without any of the four of them realizing her presence.

And because of that, they could only try their luck, and ask Lianmin. Unfortunately, nothing they got.

"Well, what should I say to Weng Lou's father. There's no way I'm going home and telling you that the only child that's been entrusted to me just disappeared in front of my eyes." Yi Chen rubbed his sweaty face.

On the other hand, Zu Zhang and Hao Lang as well as Feng Lang looked at each other. They did not know that Weng Lou had such a high status that Yi Chen himself would tell this event to Weng Lou's parents.

"Who is that boy? I know that he is from the Weng family, but it is impossible for you to intervene on your own because of that child," Hao Lang asked Yi Chen.

"Hahahaha. Weng Lou is his grandson."

It wasn't Yi Chen who answered Hao Lang's question, it was Lianmin, instead, and it made Yi Chen become wary of him because this information he had never told anyone other than Great Elder Ziao at all.

His suspicions that had previously disappeared from Lianmin reappeared.

"There's no need to be smart to know that, Yi Chen. That child has something that every direct descendant of the Weng Family has, you must understand what I mean."

"Ck, yes he is a descendant of that person. Weng Lou was one of the heirs of the Weng Family Head, and the power of his bloodline was already awakened.

If...if that person knew his granddaughter disappeared from my surveillance, I would have instantly killed her, right then."

The faces of Zu Zhang, Hao Lang and Feng Lang turned serious and started to break out in cold sweat.

The three of them were involved in this, it meant that they also had to come to settle the matter or else they would die being killed by the current Head of the Weng Family.

"There's no need to be afraid like that, I'm the only one of you who knows how strong that kid is. Even with ten people in the Soul Unification realm gnawing at him, he would come out victorious," Lianmin said casually.

"From that, we better discuss about that participant named Ying She. Why would he be on Black Sand Island?"

The atmosphere suddenly became serious as soon as Lianmin discussed about Ying She. For a moment, Yi Chen was silent and nodded in agreement to hear Lianmin's words, as well as Zu Zhang, Hao Lang and Feng Lang.

Fanrong Island, behind the waterfall that belongs to Du Zhe.

It was seen that Weng Lou was lying on top of Du Zhe's bed and could only stay in place because of the condition of his body that still had Mana in it.

Weng Lou blinked looking at the figure of Du Zhe who was busy wiping the body of Weng Lou who had been shirtless. He looked at the child's body which had some bruises on him and sighed.

"Hey, what's your name?" ask Weng Lou to Du Zhe.

"Hm? My name is Du Zhe, I'm eight years old." Du Zhe answered quickly.

"I didn't ask her age, why did she tell me?" thought Weng Lou.

" Du Zhe, you don't have to take care of me like this. You better rest, your body condition is much more concerning than mine," Weng Lou told him.

Du Zhe did not stop at all despite hearing Weng Lou's words, he continued to wipe Weng Lou's body with a wet cloth in his hand.

Weng Lou did not discuss this further and chose to close his eyes.

He put his Qi on one of his Storage Rings and looked for a special pill he had made to cope with his current condition.

After a while of searching, Weng Lou's attention was suddenly stopped on a pile of items in his Storage Ring. His expression was like he had just seen a ghost, and blinked a few times

"Teacher, Ye Lao, why are these things in my storage ring?" Weng Lou asked Ye Lao and Qian Yu.

Suddenly, Qian Yu let out a laugh and made Weng Lou confused.

"You're lucky, my student. The teleportation magic was using too much Mana, so I could bring along objects that were within the radius of the teleportation magic. The objects I found were just a few meters below the arena field, and I brought them just as teleportation magic was activated" Qian Yu explained.

The thing that Weng Lou was looking at right now was the four main prizes of the Free Martial Tournament that he participated in. Of course, one of them was the prize of the winner of the tournament which was one of the materials of making the Sky Weapon.

Weng Lou could not help himself and laughed in his heart, this is really luck. He managed to obtain all of these rewards thanks to the teleportation magic used by Qian Yu.

After a while, he continued his search inside the storage ring. But once again his expression changed when he saw two familiar objects in his eyes.

He smiled looking at the two things.

"Hahaha."

The two objects that Weng Lou meant were the Sand of Life Soul and the Sky Golden Jade belonging to the old man of the inn, Meiyou Lianmin.

Between the two objects was a paper which was a short message from Lianmin.

'Good luck son, consider this a gift from me for comforting me for some time.'
