Towards Eternity
Ch 587's. Lin Bei Against Weng Ying Luan

Battle Arena. The figure of Lin Bei walked unhesitatingly towards the corner of the challenger registration room and approached an officer in charge of taking down the registrants.

The man turned to Lin Bei who stopped and stood in front of him. The young man was wearing a bright red outfit with the Phoenix emblem on his left chest, also on his back. Looking at his clothes, the attendant hurriedly got up to his feet and bowed respectfully to Lin Bei.

"Good day, sir. Is there anything I can help you with?" ask the officer who has lifted his body.

Lin Bei took out a storage ring and threw it at the attendant while speaking, "I want to do a fight. Prepare me for your strongest fighter, and let me fight him. Tell him not to have to hold back against me, all the contents of this ring will be his pay."

The officer looked at the ring in his hand. Qi entered and checked the contents inside. How surprised he was to find a pile of gold coins in the ring. He gulped and immediately did as Lin Bei wished.

He immediately went to his superior's room and informed him of this. Incidentally, Weng Ying Luan was arguing with the leader of the arena. The two were discussing about his payment which he only received by half. The officer did not dare to go in and disturb the two of them.

The leader of the Battle Arena was a man who looked to be looking in his late forties with his black beard and mustache in neat shaving so he looked like a European noble in the middle ages.

*Bruack!* The table was hit hard by Ying Luan.

"You fucking bastard, this is the umpteenth time you've done this! You think I'm an idiot?! You're making excuses about my room rent, but actually you just want to extort all my money!" ying Luan snapped at the man in front of her.

The Combat Arena leader sighed before then tossing a stack of papers from behind his desk drawer onto the table. Weng Ying Luan stared for a moment at the pile of paper, she did not understand why the man took out the papers.

"Do you know what this is?" the man asked Weng Ying Luan who was immediately countered with a headband.

"Try to read one of them. Just take it at random, then read it out loud so I can hear it, too," he continued.

Flashing, Weng Ying Luan immediately did as the man said. He picked up one of the papers in the middle and started reading it.

"Letter violation. On behalf....Luan?! Cases..destruction of public facilities. A fine of 100 gold coins?! Wait, what the hell with this offense letter?! When have I ever damaged a public facility inside the city?! This is bullshit!"

Weng Ying Luan looked in disbelief at the contents of the letter. He hurriedly took the other papers on the table and read them. And as he expected, the contents of all those papers were also his offense letters.

Weng Ying Luan's head almost ached reading it. How could he get a letter of offense when he didn't? Obviously this is a big mistake!

"I cut your battle prize to pay the bill from your offense letter, if anyone wants you to protest say it right now" the man in front of Ying Luan said flatly to her.

"I never did any of these customers! Why should I pay for it?!" Ying Luan spoke in annoyance. He then continued, "Like this, damaging the public facilities, what the heck?! I rarely even stop by public places in the city, except for the material shops and restaurants!"

Hearing Ying Luan's defense, the man snorted. "It wasn't you who did it, but your fans are idiots. I told you, take good care of all of them, or it will cause you problems later, but you've only been quiet all along. So don't protest anything to me and get out of here."

Ying Luan's hand was clenched. He was angry, but not the leader where he worked wrong, but the crazy people who always followed him everywhere. With gritted teeth, Weng Ying Luan walked away from the room.

Before he came out, he and the previous officer passed each other.

"Why? If you want to come in, just go in. Don't wait outside like that, you look like a thief" Ying Luan said as she told the officer to enter.

Without waiting twice, the officer immediately entered and stood in front of his leader .

"Pe-Leader.there was a member of the Lin Family in the registration room. He wants to fight against our strongest fighter. And this.he gave this as his payment to us." The attendant hastily explained while giving the storage ring Lin Bei had given him earlier.

The leader took the ring and checked its contents. His forehead lifted and immediately he laughed softly.

"Hey, Luan. You want more pay, don't you? Then I will give you all this and fight that person," he said to Ying Luan who was standing waiting in front of the exit.

He did not leave immediately because he wanted to know what the officer wanted to say to the man. The ring in the man's hand was thrown at him and immediately examined him. A smile appeared on Ying Luan's face, an annoyed expression that had previously now disappeared the moment she received the ring.

Over a hundred thousand gold coins were inside the ring! Although it was not enough to make the ship he wanted, but that much money could still help him increase the money he needed.

"Hehehehe. Don't try to ask back the contents of this ring after the fight is over." Ying Luan spoke with a wide smile.

"Hm, if you can win that's enough for me. If you can teach that Lin Family member a lesson by beating him up, I'll give you a cut of your reward money that I used to pay for your offense."

"Agreed! Don't try to break your promise, I've remembered it well in my head!" Ying Luan quickly left and hurriedly headed to the waiting room while getting ready.

Meanwhile, the Battle Arena Leader and the attendant who was previously still inside the room. The leader tapped his finger at the table and looked towards the attendant in front of him for a while.

"Who is that guy? Do you know him?" The leader asked with his sharp eyes.

The officer nodded. He replied, "That person is Lin Bei, the leader of the Lin Family's Pursuit Army. From the look on his face, he was upset and was in a bad mood."

That explanation was only responded to by a nod by the Combat Arena Leader.

"Haaa...Luan had to work hard to defeat him. I hope the boy doesn't overdo it when he fights later, or he'll cause serious trouble. Although me and the Lin Family have a not-so-good relationship, our relationship has yet to reach where either of us would openly assault."

"But the story is different if Ying Luan will kill Lin Bei instead. Although that young man was strong enough to become the Pursuit Leader who was famous for being extremely strong by most people, yet he would not be able to defeat Luan." The leader got up and invited the officer to walk together towards the registration room and met with Lin Bei.

The leader of the Battle Arena himself scrawled Lin Bei's registration papers and greeted the young man towards the other waiting room, which was separate from where Ying Luan was.

After he finished dropping her off, he and the registration clerk walked together towards the room where it was the Leader's seat to watch the course of the fight on the field.

The attendant who was previously, remained together with his leader and watched as the fight between Ying Luan and Lin Bei was about to begin. It was seen the two together walking into the arena and someone who appeared to be the referee mediated the two.

From what he saw, this leader of his seemed to always be praising about Ying Luan's strength, earlier as well when he was talking about Lin Bei. He said Lin Bei would not be able to defeat Luan in a fight.

The man who was the leader of the Battle Arena in Tiesha City was silent for a moment. The memory of the fight a few months ago re-remembered clearly inside his head, where he was forced to use half of his strength to face a young man who was none other than Ying Luan.

"All of you who work in the Battle Arena know that I was the one who tested Luan, when that young man came to this place to become an Arena Fighter. The fight we both saw was not witnessed by anyone because I had made a barrier so that only the two of us knew about the course of the fight."

"You only know that the winner is me, and Ying Luan lost but is doing fine. Except for a few bruises on his body and face, he had no other injuries. When we both fight, we, Luan had never used her Soul Power at all even though I could feel that the child's Soul Power was many times over in number compared to people with the same level of practice as her."

The leader looked towards Ying Luan on the field who was currently listening to the fight of the fight she was about to do against Lin Bei. It looked either Ying Luan or Lin Bei, both of them did not care about the fight the referee said to them.

They just want the fight to be done.

"Although not using Soul Power, in fact Luan was able to compensate for my attacks in the early to mid-fight. He surprisingly possessed a Elementless Dantian, thus making the amount of Qi of his own unlimited by the capacity of his Dantian. In the end the boy ended up giving up when I started to draw out half my strength whereas back then he could have continued the fight even longer despite not using any Qi."

The officer beside the man nodded with a stunned face. This leader of hers turned out to have to expend half of her strength just to face Luan, truly incredible! Although it looked like an ordinary man, in fact this leader was a Martial Practitioner in the realm of intermediate stage 8 Soul Unification.

Luan who was only at stage 3 was able to get people at stage 8 to expend half her strength was a truly unbelievable achievement.

"Oh, like they're about to start the fight. Hey, bring me some snacks downstairs. It should be a long fight, so I can enjoy it with a few snacks." The officer immediately ordered the officer.

With a sense of reluctance, the officer rushed along the hallway of the building to the first floor and find a snack desired by the leader. He mustn't miss Luan's fight, or he will regret it.

While on the arena field, Lin Bei and Luan had both walked backwards taking the distance that the referee had determined.

"Alright, the fight starts in 3! 2.....! 1!!!!!" The referee immediately started his fight.

Lin Bei's figure immediately disappeared from where he was standing, and the next second he had arrived in front of Ying Luan with his right hand clenched and orange flames lining his hand.

*BAM!!!*

The fist was immediately launched towards Ying Luan's face, but an extremely violent Qi layer appeared and resisted the blow. Ying Luan smiled at the attack.

"Your little fire won't hurt me at all!" Ying Luan exclaimed.

His hand moved around, the protective layer immediately wrapped around Lin Bei's hand, but Lin Bei quickly withdrew his hand before Qi Ying Luan wrapped it around further. Pulling his hand, his left leg moved and kicked to the side of Ying Luan's body, but another protector immediately formed and restrained the kick.

Lin Bei clicked his tongue, he wanted to release his emotions by doing this fight, but his opponent, Ying Luan instead made him feel even more annoyed.

"Stop being a coward and fight like a real man!!!" Lin Bei snorted. Orange flames immediately shot out from within his body and his strength grew stronger.

With a howl he attacked Ying Luan. The kicks, scratches, punches, all the attacks he gave out, yet not a single one reached Ying Luan's body. His Qi Protector kept himself safe and unharmed.

"I'm sorry, but I'm doing this fight because I received a fee from the owner of this place. If you feel annoyed, then try to urge me to fight earnestly," Ying Luan replied as she chuckled softly.

Some of the people watching their fight looked stunned to see the figure of Ying Luan standing upright while her opponent continued to unleash his attacks blindly. He looks so cool in the eyes of the girls watching him.

In reality, the way Weng Ying Luan and Weng Lou fought was the same. They both relied on their advantages, which was to have unlimited Qi so they preferred to fight using their Qi if the opponent faced was considered quite capable of being overcome with Qi alone, although Weng Lou actually did not do it anymore because he only had Soul Power now.

The most easily found characteristic of the way Weng Ying Luan and Weng Lou fight is the use of protectors that both wear to withstand the opponent's attack. Although impressed cowardly, but both are happy to use it because it does not need to waste energy to dodge or fend off the opponent's attack.

No matter their opponent was irritated or angry because of this way, both of them would continue to do so until indeed their opponent was quite capable of overcoming the protector they made.

*PAM!!!*

A flame fist that had an extremely hot temperature was released and immediately destroyed the protector in front of Ying Luan. The fist continued to dart and would reach his chest, but it turned out that there was another protector who immediately resisted the blow.

"You don't think I only made one protector, do you?" ying Luan asked as she raised next to her eyebrows when she saw Lin Bei who had put on his dark face as his fist was again restrained by Ying Luan's protector.

"Haaah....this bastard......so you want to do it like this well? All right, I'll follow your way."

Lin Bei jumped back a few meters from Ying Luan.

He clenched both of his hands and released his Qi in large quantities. That reddish-colored Qi overflowed around him before then making a huge orange flame and a Phoenix shadow appeared above him but was extremely faded.

When she was still unleashing her power, suddenly the figure of Ying Luan had disappeared from where she was standing before. Lin Bei was unaware of that, he only realized when Ying Luan had appeared beside him and kicked her body to the ground.

*buy! Prak!!!*

Lin Bei's body made the ground where it landed until it formed a small crater, while Ying Luan who finished attacking him only laughed.

"Sorry, I never let the fight time go to waste just to wait for my opponent to finish getting ready. Don't blame me for being so stupid."

Yes, he did fight just like Weng Lou. Neither let their opponents unleash their ultimate attacks before their opponents finished making preparations. Or rather, fight like a coward.

But who cares about that? Ying Luan only cared about the prize money she would get after all this. Regarding people's views to him, he had never thought about it in the slightest. It is up to them to look at him like what he is.
