The Dark Snake is a Dimensional Eater. The main food as a Dimensional Eater is the Dimension itself or small fragments of a Dimension, depending on the size of its Dimension.
The Dark Snake in Weng Lou can be in the 'emptiness' because of an accident.
While exploring the uninhabited fragments of the ancient Dimension, Weng Lou comes face to face with a giant snake-shaped Dimensional Eater. The meaning of the word 'giant' from the snake means that the snake has a very large body.
Because of the size of the snake's body, Weng Lou did not realize it because he thought the snake was part of a Dimensional shard.
The snake wrapped around the Dimensional shards so that it made Weng Lou call it the 'Snake of the World' because of its large body. Weng Lou back then had been in the Absolute realm for a hundred years, but the World Serpent's power still made him miserable because of his large body.
The impact of his void attack did not work on the snake because he came from the void.
In the end, after fighting for an unknown amount of time, Weng Lou managed to kill the snake and accidentally found an egg that turned out to be the snake's egg.
At that time what Weng Lou had in mind was to make the egg settle down and make it his own mount. With the size of the body that his mother had, Weng Lou had positive thoughts on the Dark Snake.
