After Weng Lou finished giving some important 'lessons' to the Dark Snake, he immediately descended back into Fu Lin Forest.
He walked down a fairly small path and meandered as he avoided the trees in each path. After a while, he arrived at Fenmu Village. The sight he had seen for the first time was that upon reaching the village was a wooden house that almost looked like a hut.
The house looked exactly like Weng Lou's house in Blue River Village, small and simple.
But what distinguishes between the two is in the yard of the house in front of Weng Lou, a lot of grass that grows wild and even grows on the walls of the house.
Moss is on each side of the house, it can be known this house has been very long abandoned, not one two years, but decades, no, maybe even more than that.
Weng Lou smiled slightly. The memories of the fifty-first life were again twisted in his head. He remembered this was his home first. She lives with her father in this house, alone without her mother.
Every day he spends time taking care of homework because his father just lounges and watches it when he works. It was quite a beautiful memory according to Weng Lou, although a feeling of annoyance could still be felt in him when he remembered his father who liked to tell him to do something but when he told him back, his father would reason a lot.
"Greetings, Village Chief."
When Weng Lou was looking at the house, some people walked up to Weng Lou and immediately saluted him.
Weng Lou turned his gaze from the wooden house and looked at the people who came to him.
Blinks. He doesn't recognize all these people. There was nothing in his memories in his previous life about them.
"Are you the new villagers?" ask Weng Lou. The only thing that could be the reason he did not know them even though they knew him was that these people had only become residents of Fenmu Village after the death of his fifty-first life.
They immediately nodded, confirming Weng Lou's guess.
"The longest person in this village among the other villagers is me. For ten thousand years I have lived in this village and been part of the guardian of the seal you made. The villagers before me had entrusted this village to me and raised me to be one of the village administrators. The rest of the villagers became villagers about five thousand years after me." An old man with a thin dry body spoke to Weng Lou respectfully.
His thin body made it look like it would fall if blown by the breeze. But his power is clear
Weng Lou who heard it couldn't help his shock. That meant that the old man before him had lived for at least ten thousand years.
It wasn't a minute. Especially for a supreme-level God like him, ten thousand years was almost the entire lifespan he could reach. Weng Lou knew that the person in front of him at most only had a few tens of years to live.
Even a God would still die of age! There were no immortal Gods in this world, unless they had broken through to the next realm and were at the Absolute realm.
But an Absolute also had an age limit, only hundreds, even millions of times longer than the Gods. It is not wrong to call them immortal beings.
This man in front of Weng Lou said he became a resident of Fenmu Village five thousand years until someone else came and became a villager like him. Weng Lou did not know how long he had lived alone in this place, but he respected this man in front of him because he wanted to live life as the caretaker of your Fen Village for the rest of his life.
"So that's it. I thank you all for keeping this place as long as I'm not around. Now, you can rest in peace, your duties and responsibilities are now fully taken back," said Weng Lou in a sincere tone.
The old man in front of Weng Lou smiled faintly. He took out a piece of metal from inside his shirt and handed it to Weng Lou.
"You've been guiding me all this time, thank you very much. Although not your true self, but my gratitude is truly sincere. For thousands of years guarding this village, I managed to perfect the tranquility of heart that you taught me. That way I can feel being at the peak of the Deva realm. If you hadn't taught me, maybe I wouldn't be able to be in front of you right now. Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
After handing the piece of metal to Weng Lou, the man's body suddenly turned faded and then disappeared in midair. Before he was completely gone, he looked back. Weng Lou doesn't know who he saw, it's none of his business.
Weng Lou was not surprised to see the man disappear in the air. He had already guessed that the old man had been at the end of his age. He should still be able to live a few tens more years, but the old man chose to give up his life.
It shows that he is tired of his life in this world. Ten thousand years is not easy. In one of Weng Lou's earlier lives, he lived a hundred thousand years at most, and spent much of his time raising his power, as well as exploring the long-abandoned ancient Dimensions.
After the man the other villagers walked forward and one by one thanked Weng Lou while giving a piece of metal to Weng Lou.
They all chose to end their lives like the old man before. Almost all residents of Fenmu Village are hundreds, even thousands of years old, they also know about the situation in the outside world. That way, most of them do not want to torture themselves any longer and choose to decide their own lives.
With the Mainland having been destroyed, there was nowhere to go for them.
Before long, all that was left of them was a woman who looked to be in her twenties. He had light green hair with a pair of emerald-like green eyes. Her face was beautiful and natural. His body was tiny and slim, as well as having an extremely strong medicinal aroma from his body.
The woman walked slowly towards Weng Lou. He bowed respectfully to Weng Lou and then gave his piece of metal to Weng Lou.
Weng Lou did not blink as he looked at the woman. There was something that made her feel that the woman was very attractive and made her unable to take her eyes off.
What a funny fate. It seems that I needn't make much effort to search for his soul, it's my own destiny that will make him meet me. Weng Lou returned the woman's smile and took out a piece of metal from the woman's hand.
Unlike the other villagers, the woman chose to stay in place after giving the piece of metal to Weng Lou, without speaking in the slightest. He looks very calm and mature. This must be because he lived among the elderly villagers.
"What are you going to do after this? The entire Mainland has been destroyed. If you have a family or a place to visit outside the Mainland, just tell me, I'll drive you, "Weng Lou told the woman.
In return, the woman simply smiled and bowed respectfully. He did not speak in the slightest which made Weng Lou feel strange. A while later, he realized what was keeping the woman from speaking to him and sighed softly.
He spoke again, "You can talk telepathically with me. I won't be bothered with that, just calm down."
Soul Power then came out from within his body and he sent a telepathy to Weng Lou.
"I'm sorry for my stupidity, Village Chief. I was born mute and had only learned how to talk telepathically for a few months. The village manager taught me. He said talking directly to strangers using telepathy was impolite, so I didn't dare to speak telepathically to you before, please forgive me."
His telepathic voice echoed within Weng Lou's head. His voice sounded soft and hesitant. Weng Lou could imagine what if he spoke directly to her, it might be the softest sound his ears had ever heard.
"No problem, don't be so stiff with me. We're almost the same age, so don't talk formally."
The woman blinked and nodded in understanding.
"Then, as I asked before, is there any place you want to go? I'll drive you, the place out here is very unsafe, so it'll be dangerous if you go alone." Weng Lou again asked the woman the same question.
In return, the woman immediately shook her head. "I was found by the villagers in the protective layer region that covered Fu Lin Forest when I was a baby. They brought me into this village and raised me together. This is my home and the only place I know. The outside world is a foreign world to me. I'd better stay here and look after the garden" the woman said by telepathy.
Weng Lou who heard it frowned. This woman has been in Fenmu Village since infancy, just like her in the fifty-first life. The difference is, he decided to leave the village when he was eighteen to explore the outside world. This woman on the other hand never came out in the slightest, which made Weng Lou feel bad.
He was only in his twenties, but the Mainland had been destroyed, there was nowhere he could see. The area outside the Mainland was also no better. Many have been devastated and ravaged by the impact of Weng Lou's fight against the Unknown God.
"You're a great woman." Those words just came out of Weng Lou's mouth.
"E-Eh!? Why did you say that? I'm just gardening, nothing more." Women were shocked by Weng Lou's words.
"No, you're a great woman. I know you're sad, but you hold all that sadness in you without showing it in your face or eyes. You're a great, strong woman. That is reality. But sometimes someone has to cry. Even the strongest people cry at times. So don't pretend to be strong and cry. Don't hold. I'm sure the villagers won't see you covering up your grief. Better to let go, that's much better."
The words from Weng Lou made the woman speechless. All the sadness he had hidden deep in his heart could not be hidden from Weng Lou's eyes. Slowly, tears flowed from both of her eyes and she cried in silence.
Weng Lou did not say anything and just watched her cry.
