Towards Eternity

Towards Eternity
Ch 393's. The Outer Section of the Underground Aisle

If in the western films where an underground passageway is formed and there are some rocks that are used as a buffer so that the underground passage does not collapse, the, then the passageway that Weng Lou and Shan Hu were currently passing through was different.

This passageway they passed through was just an ordinary underground passageway that looked like a naturally created underground hole.

Even so, this hallway remained solid.

With a height to reach the ceiling of only 2 and a half meters, the hall continued to extend until it reached one kilometer more.

Tap...

Weng Lou and Shan Hu walked into the dark passage without creating any lighting devices.

Capitalizing on the Qi flowing in both of their eyes, the two without hesitation continued to trace the passageway. The crevices of the ground on the passageway could be seen by the two without any problems at all.

The problem is, they don't know how far and wide this hallway is.

After two minutes of walking, Weng Lou and Shan Hu suddenly stopped walking when they realized that on the edge of the hall there was another passageway that was not visible to Weng Lou's Qi ball before.

"How is this, sir?" asked Shan Hu.

He already suspected it was impossible that a passage through the gospel would have only one path. Underground aisles like this usually have a lot of branching at every few meters.

"We just keep walking down this path. The hallway looks smaller than this one, which means the hallway we are currently taking is the main hallway, or main line. Come on, let's just go ahead" said Weng Lou who without hesitation left Shan Hu who was a little hesitant.

What Weng Lou said made sense to him.

But still, this passageway they could not ignore.

"Master, it's not a good idea to just let this hallway go. Fear it later"

Shan Hu's words came to a halt when something resembling an extremely long tail came out from the passageway they found and charged towards him.

"Hm? What's this tail?"

Weng Lou casually caught the igu's tail and then pulled it.

Tha-!!! Buck!

The figure of the creature was drawn out as soon as Weng Lou pulled that long tail.

Weng Lou's brows furrowed as soon as he saw what figure it was. It was a giant rat that had a body as big as Shan Hu with two long and sharp upper fangs, as well as a tail that was no less long. On all four legs are equipped with long and slightly curved nails.

The body of this rat was covered by dark black feathers which even made it unable to be seen clearly in the dark despite already using the help of Qi though.

What astonished this dark rat was its strength. It was a tier 12 Foundation!

Well, if it were to be compared to the many ferocious beasts that Weng Lou had fought against all this time, this rat was nothing.

But even so, for a rat classmate, having such power was something completely insane, Weng Lou thought.

Ciii!!!! CIT!!! TCIITT!!!

The rat was awakened from his shock at being pulled by Weng Lou.

He rebelled and planned to attack Weng Lou, but was soon arrested by Shan Hu by holding his head.

"Little mouse, dare you fuck around...."

Whaa-psssh.....

In one move, the head of the rat broke like a very fragile glass.

"This mouse is crazy enough to dare attack you, sir," Shan Hu said.

Weng Lou just silently heard that he chose to stare towards the hallway they had just found before.

Flowing the Qi in his two eyes in greater numbers, Weng Lou was able to see as far as more than 500 meters in front of him very clearly, like not being in the dark at all.

But strangely enough, Weng Lou's countenance seemed to change drastically upon seeing what was inside the dark passageway.

"What the fuck?!"

As deep as the hallway, there were only giant rats that were sitting in their place while staring at the place where Weng Lou was. It seemed like they were reacting to the squeaks from the mice killed by Shan Hu.

Shan Hu who was there stared at the hallway and his reaction was similarly shocked.

Their strength did not make Weng Lou afraid at all, only that the number was very alarming. If this was White Star City then obviously all of these rats would be able to flatten it within a few minutes if no one from the Soul Cleansing realm stopped them.

"Sir...."

"No, we're not gonna kill them. This is not the city we know, where the inhabitants are also not known at all.

After all, what could these rats do to the residents of Hundan City who were mostly Martial Practitioners who were in the realm of Soul Cleansing?

At most they would only be able to pull off some chaos before then they would all be obliterated by someone. Whether it's sooner or later, these rats will die" explains Weng Lou.

Shan Hu nodded in agreement to that. He also did not know any of the people who lived in Hundan City.

"Let's continue the journey, those rats won't dare to do anything to us."

Finished saying that, Weng Lou and Shan Hu continued their journey.

A ten minute later.

Weng Lou and Shan Hu were still walking in the underground passageway, but they could sense that the passageway they were passing through was gradually pointing upwards.

"In a moment we reach the end of this hallway," said Weng Lou who accelerated his pace.

A while later, it was true that they had reached the end of the hallway, where there was a lump made of metal, just as before that closed this hallway.

Weng Lou fumbled at the lump before finding another small lump.

Srrtt....

When Weng Lou pressed the bump the wall in front of them shook and then moved, revealing what was behind it.

The sunlight dashed in and made Weng Lou and Shan Hu glare.

The two squinted for a while before then their eyes got used to the current caption.

What they saw now was a meadow where trees were seen surrounding it.

"It really leads out of Hundan City."

Kss....

Weng Lou stepped out of the hallway and set foot on the knee-high grass.

He continued to step up and was followed by Shan Hu behind him. The two continued walking before stopping in the middle of the meadow.

Weng Lou flipped over and saw that the door of the passage they had previously passed was on a giant rock and it looked as if it was heading underground.

"I don't know how far we've gone, but it looks like we won't get anything here for now." Weng Lou spoke while paying attention to the surrounding environment.

"I also think like that sir," Shan Hu replied.

When they intended to leave, suddenly there was a rustling sound of bushes that were some distance away from them.

A small smile was seen from Weng Lou's lips before then giving Shan Hu a sign.

Shan Hu nodded, and the next second his figure disappeared and then appeared in the bushes that sounded earlier where a figure of a man darted in one direction was seen, the one previously was watching Weng Lou and Shan Hu.

Shan Hu's figure disappeared again, and a moment later, he appeared right in front of the man who was darting away.

!!!

The man was shocked at Shan Hu's appearance. But then he lashed out an attack using his dagger at Shan Hu.

"Calm down."

Ctc!

The man's dagger was held easily by Shan Hu using his palm.

Surprise re-emerged in the man, but before he could do anything, Shan Hu had already done something.

He quickly moved and carried out a punch right before the man's eyes, which resulted in a shock wind that made the man's body to be thrown backwards very far before then landing right in front of Weng Lou.

"Good, at least I don't have to bother looking for you."
