Ch 663's. Lin Mei Against Lin Ao Man
Lin Mei flew past the protective layer of the wooden ship.
After he passed through it, the hole in the layer was immediately closed back. Weng Lao De looked like he was aging a few years after relinquishing control of the protector.
Weng Ying Luan and Lin Mei went down onto the boat, behind Weng Lao De sat down.
Both of them paid their respects to Weng Lao De and the other nine Soul Emperors. As Lin Mei paid her respects to Lin Ao Man, she looked at him sharply and smiled mockingly.
Lin Ao Man noticed Lin Mei's mocking smile and immediately felt offended. He suddenly released his Soul Power and directed it at Lin Mei.
Lin Mei's body was instantly thrown out of the wooden ship as it was struck by that Soul Power. Weng Ying Luan beside him was very surprised by this very sudden change in situation.
Without hesitation he unleashed his Soul Power. He did not hold back even the slightest bit of his Soul Power and directly struck Lin Ao Man's milieu Soul Power.
Unexpectedly, Weng Ying Luan's Soul Power was able to stop Lin Ao Man's Soul Power from suppressing Lin Mei. It was seen that Weng Ying Luan's Soul Power was fighting each other in the air with Lin Ao Man's. Surprisingly the two were on par with each other, even Weng Ying Luan looked little by little pushing back Lin Ao Man's Soul Power.
Lin Ao Man's face changed instantly. He did not think that Weng Ying Luan would be able to restore her Soul Power.
When he was about to unleash his Soul Power even more, Weng Lao De who was watching everything that happened suddenly disappeared from his seat and a second later had already reappeared beside Lin Ao Man.
Lin Ao Man's heart surged in shock at the figure of Weng Lao De who had been standing beside him and was looking at him with cold eyes. Lin Ao Man's hand formed a hand pattern and a layer of Phoenix Flame instantly appeared to protect him.
Weng Lao De snorted in annoyance. Without caring about the Phoenix Flame that was around Lin Ao his hands shot out and instantly pulled the huge body of Lin Ao Man.
Weng Lao De's hand was seen burning by the fire but his skin was not injured in the slightest. The Phoenix flames seemed as if they could not injure him in the slightest. It could be seen a layer of silver-colored aura from Weng Lao De's hand. This aura was extremely thin and could not even be felt by everyone on board the wooden ship. In fact, they actually did not see that silver aura. Only Weng Lao De could see it, it was clear that the aura belonged to him.
"Lin Ao Man........ do you want me to stamp as a traitor of Black Sand Island? This action of yours is not only you heed the words before, but it will also make the Lin Family think badly of me for not protecting Princess Mei well. Are you not doing this because you want me to be hostile to the Lin Family? Tell me, Lin Ao Man, do you really want to be like that?"
Weng Lao De's voice was extremely cold and a killing aura was radiating out from within his body.
The entire ship instantly became silent and cold.
Weng Ying Luan looked indifferent to Lin Ao Man's situation, she quickly flew over and caught Lin Mei who was being thrown from the wooden ship. He helped her by holding her back on the boat and letting her sit cross-legged on the floor to recuperate.
The Phoenix flames immediately shot out from Lin Mei's body, and wrapped her in flames. Lin Mei's injuries quickly recovered. Yet the sudden attack from Lin Ao Man had injured him so seriously, it took him some time to completely heal his wounds.
"This bastard clearly did not hold himself back when attacking me earlier. It seems like he really wants to kill me," muttered Lin Mei as he turned to Lin Ao Man who was being strangled by Weng Lao De. His face was a little pale yet he had recovered enough to get up on his feet and walk towards Lin Ao Man.
Weng Ying Luan followed him from behind. His eyes were filled with killing intent as he looked at Lin Ao Man. He had already promised to guard Lin Mei until Weng Lou returned, yet right before him Lin Mei had been injured and she could not act quickly enough to anticipate the attack.
In his heart, Weng Ying Luan cursed herself for not being able to protect Lin Mei well. Fortunately Lin Mei had just awakened further to her Phoenix bloodline, so she could quickly recover. If only it was Lin Mei before her bloodline was awakened any further, then Lin Mei would probably have been injured much more severely.
With full of anger within him, Weng Ying Luan subconsciously walked past Lin Mei. He took a deep breath and was about to speak to Lin Ao Man, but then Lin Mei immediately patted him on the shoulder, stopping him from speaking.
Hanging above the ground, Lin Ao Man tried his hardest to escape Weng Lao De's grasp, yet no matter how hard he tried, he could not break free.
"Akhhuu...ughh......." Lin Ao Man's face changed almost like a ripe tomato. Both of his eyes were red and he had trouble speaking.
A Soul Emperor could easily hold his breath for hours without the slightest problem, but Weng Lao De who was suffocating Lin Ao Man did not just make him unable to breathe, but it also made his neck almost crumpled.
"Mr Lao De, can you let go?" Lin Mei spoke in a flat tone.
Weng Lao De turned his head and looked at Lin Mei who was burning by the Phoenix Flame. He blinked. The current situation was somewhat out of her control, yet she had a premonition that Lin Mei was able to handle it even without her intervention.
He smiled and nodded, "As you wish, Princess Mei."
The hand that was suffocating Lin Ao Man's neck immediately released Lin Ao Man and let Lin Ao Man's body fall to the floor hard.
Lin Ao Man held his neck that felt like it was going to break because of Weng Lao De's grasp. He could feel that his life was almost over because of the old man.
Sighing his breath, he then turned to Lin Mei. His face turned to be surprised I saw his Phoenix Flame. It felt so hot, so hot that he thought that the Phoenix Flame was burning at the moment.
"You-you! What are you trying to do?! Wanna fight with me?! Ha! A useless princess like you, dare to mess with me! I don't care that you are the daughter of the Head of the Family. Since you've made me angry, I'll kill you so that it doesn't become aih to the Lin Family!"
The figure of Lin Ao Man immediately rose to his feet. His Soul Power re-released him towards Lin Mei, but before it could reach Lin Mei, his Soul Power was instantly destroyed once it touched the Phoenix Flame Lin Mei.

Not enough with that, Lin Ao Man unleashed the power of his Phoenix bloodline. The Phoenix flames immediately burned his body. His deep form Fire Phoenix looked like a giant bathed in flames.
It was extremely astonishing, especially when a pair of wings of dark red flames appeared on his back.
Lin Mei squinted her eyes. He had not moved from his place, even after all the efforts made by Lin Ao Man.
The flames on Lin Ao Man's body gathered before him and formed a collection of red fireballs. With a single thought, fireballs shot out at Lin Mei. There were screeching sounds on the fireballs.

Without any defense, the fireballs struck Lin Mei and set her ablaze in Lin Ao Man's Phoenix Flame.
