Being Married to My First Love

Being Married to My First Love
Season2. Buying offerings.

There was a voice echoing from a distance, calling for all Muslims to face the Divine Robbi. For a moment Raka was silent while sitting on the edge of the bed. In his heart he answered the call from the muezzin that was clearly heard in his ears. After that he immediately got up to take ablution.

He wore a sarong and a cocoa shirt, then rushed outside the house to go to the nearest mosque in his village. With steady steps he walked while holding his tongue that was slung on his shoulder.

The wind that blew circulated the scent of morning dew that soaked the grass until it burst into his sense of smell. His steps were getting lighter as he stared at the beautiful twilight sky that was still illuminated by the moonlight. The morning atmosphere is silent yet soul-stripping for anyone who witnesses it.

Arriving at the mosque did not forget Raka to perform dawn sunnah prayers. Aisyah Radhiyallahu ‘anha said, “Prophet SAW does not take care of the sunnah prayer which is more than keeping the sunnah prayer two rakaat before dawn.” (S.Muslim). That is, the dawn sunnah prayer is highly recommended by the prophet, because it has many virtues. It is from Aisyah Radhiyallahu ‘anha, Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Two rakaat dawn prayers are better than the world and its contents.” (CHR. Muslim). Hadith means to perform the dawn prayer is one of the best practices among the good in the world.

In addition, performing prayers before sunrise will be saved from hellfire, get unlimited rewards, get protection from God, made a home in heaven, and get light illumination when passing through the sirath bridge, so that the bridge which is only a strand of hair and dark can be seen bright for those who always perform the dawn prayer.

After performing dawn prayers and dawn prayers, Raka perbanyak beristighfar in his prayers. The early morning prayers began to leave the mosque one by one.

After giving honor to Allah, Raka came to the infaq box located in the front of the mosque. On his rogoh a piece of money from his shirt pocket and immediately put it in the infaq box.

Raka realized one thing after carrying out a series of morning worship, her heart was calm, her steps were light, and her mind was open. He hopes to get Istiqomah in running it.

“Assalamu’alaikum, Ma,” Raka said as she entered the house.

“Wa’alaikumussalam,” replied Rahma who was standing in front of the musalla door after finishing her prayer.

“Ma, later after breakfast accompany Raka looking for a ring and handover for Fely yes, Ma,” pinta Raka.

“Iya, just wanted to remind Mama, then what about the dowry? so money or something else?” ask Rahma to make sure.

“Raka has a good plan about it, Ma. Raka later told me when we had breakfast. Go to the room first, Ma. Raka wants to read Al-Qur’an first,” said Raka.

“Alright, Mama also wants to cook first,” replied Rahma while smiling at her son.

“Raka, how is the ring size?” rahma asked when she was in front of a store that sold gold jewelry.

Previously they had been shopping for items for offerings that will be given to Fely during the marriage contract later. Then, they went to a jewelry store that was still one location with a place to shop earlier.

“Quiet, Ma. Raka has prepared for its size,” said Raka while reaching into the wallet from his pants pocket.

Raka opened the wallet and pulled something out of her wallet. “Nih, size, Ma!" said Raka while showing a small circular straw with ties on the top.

Rahma seemed confused when she saw the object thrust into her presence. “It's not a straw? what do you want to do, Raka?”

Raka did not answer the question from her mother. Raka just smiled as she responded, then moved closer to the gold jewelry store showcase.

“Mbak, excuse me!” call Raka to the jeweler.

“Iya, Mas. Can I help you?” answer the shop staff kindly.

“I want to buy a wedding ring, can you find a ring with the latest model that is the same size as the diameter of the circle on this straw, Ma?” pinta Raka while showing the straw she had brought before the store employee.

“Se-sedotan? pfftt..!” peek at the karyawantoko while holding back her almost exploding laughter. “Oh sorry, I mean I will check the size first, Mas. Can I borrow the straw for a minute?” Ralatya while asking for the straw.

During his time as a new store employee this time he served a buyer by carrying a straw as an example of its size.

“Please, Ma'am. Be careful yes, do not let the bond loose!” said Raka warned while handing over his straw to the store employee.

“Good, Mas. Please wait a minute!” he said, then turned to the back leaving a jewelry showcase on display.

“Yaampun, Raka. You look? it's not just Mama who feels astonished by the suction. There's just you! Mama was wondering how you'd take the size on Fely's finger? This is very silly,” Rahma said while laughing whispering near her son's ear.

“Jeez, young people today!” said Rahma while shaking her head.

Drrrtt drrtt.

Raka felt something shake in her pants pocket. The destruction of his cell phone. Apparently there was a call from Papa Maura.

“Hallo, assalamu’alaikum,Pa?” ask Raka.

“Wa’alaikumsalam, Raka. Can we meet? There is an important thing that Papa wants to talk to you about,” said papa Maura.

“Emm, Raka is going outside with mom, Pa. How about another hour?” answer Raka.

“OK alright. One more hour Papa's waiting in Papa's office, huh? can you come here?” ask papa Maura.

“Insyaa Allah can, Pa,”ujar Raka.

“Alright, Papa wait in Papa's room, yes!”

“Iya, Pa. Assalamu’alaikum.”

“Wa’alaikumsalam.” Phone turned off.

Raka immediately put her phone back in her pants pocket.

“What's up, Raka?” rahma asked to know.

“Papa ask to meet, Ma,” said Raka.

“Is there any good news?” ask Rahma.

“Raka doesn't know yet, Ma. Papa has not said the reason asked to meet,” said Raka.

“Hopefully it is a good thing for you, son!”

“Aamiin, just pray for the best for Raka yes, Ma!"

“Sure, Dear!”

After choosing a wedding ring and a set of jewelry for Fely, Raka and her mother return home. Many of the groceries they brought so Raka chose to order a taxi online to go home and go.

“Ka, you don't want to buy a car?” rahma asked when she arrived at her house.

“Iya, Mother. Actually Raka has plans to buy a second car that is not too expensive. But Raka has not been able to be suitable for Raka, Ma,” said Raka.

“It must be quite difficult for you, when with your grandfather you can buy anything you want. And, at this time you have to adjust to the contents of your bag,” said Rahma.

“Raka is happier with the current one, Ma. Although life is simple but more meaningful for Raka.”

"Alhamdulillah, if your money is still lacking Mama still has a little deposit."

"No, Ma. Inshaa Allah will be sufficient by Allah" said Raka. "Ma, Raka went to papa's office first huh!"

"Yes, be careful on the road, Ka!"
