Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 29 — Sylph & Priscilla

Short Story Sylph and Priscilla.

“Oh O Queen of the most merciful fairies, please listen to my low expectations. Conditions between kingdoms are getting worse, the world will be chaotic.”

In front of the border connecting the world with the spirit forest, a man prostrated himself, fusing his hands together, praying while weeping.

On a stone in front of him was a basket containing a baby girl with red hair. The baby girl who was clearly beautiful, the blood-like red hair was really charming to her.

“Starting with the kingdom of Etherbelt planning to perfect an ancient magic that summoned humans from another world, great turmoil is bound to happen. Please grant this one request, bring my newborn little daughter.”

Ancient magic in question is magic that is a relic of a long-lost God. A few years ago, Etherbelt found it, but there are still some missing pieces.

It took them two years to research it until they understood the last piece of magic and soon, the summoning would begin. Their goal of summoning humans from another world was not for the destined war.

But Etherbelt had big ambitions to become the absolute ruler of this continent. The news of this fact is known to many kingdoms, even now the situation has reached a cold war that can break out at any time.

For the worst possibility Etherbelt would be the wrath of many kingdoms and because of such a situation, the man did not want his little daughter to be entangled in war.

“As the Queen of life, I want you to keep this new-born little life. If you save her, this little life won't dim. If you leave it, this little life will not know the beauty of the world.”

Tears rolled down her cheeks, for she could not help but endure the grief of her little daughter. He wants to take care of her and raise her as a father, but does not rule out the possibility that Etherbelt will be destroyed someday.

As a Duke of the kingdom of Etherbelt, he had to fulfill his responsibilities. Therefore, there would be no other choice but to leave his daughter to a grand figure.

“Please take care of my daughter, O great fairy queen.” Until the end do not stop calling for his request.

Staring at her little daughter, she kissed her forehead for the last time. The little baby was crying as if understanding the parting, her cries resounding in the night sky until the man left his place.

“Goodbye my little daughter. My hope is to meet you in the future.”

Seeing her daughter for the last time, she wiped her tears and immediately left her place.

After a few minutes, the little baby continued to cry until it echoed into the spirit forest. Soon a greenish glow appeared and revolved around the little baby, comforting him and making him stop crying.

Slowly the light grew more and more and snapped at the form of a very graceful adult woman. Her hair, eyes, and clothes were green, the figure of the Fairy Queen appeared in front of the little girl.

“Poor little creature, because of your condition was abandoned.” His murmur looked at the little baby in front of him sadly.

“I'm not a Mom, taking care of a child is not my forte. But not until I ignore you.”

Sylph carefully carried her basket with the little baby. He who has no experience holding a baby is afraid to do so.

The most vulnerable times of human life are when we age and are just born. Mishandling just a little can hurt the little baby, because it is not the origin of carrying it wise choice.

Upon entering the spirit forest that seemed to be separated from the outside world, Sylph took the baby to the spirit tree and asked for permission for the baby to be given qualifications to the top.

Surely there is no problem because the baby has no sin, but the problem is that the journey to the top will be troublesome. Sylph undid her intentions and chose to take care of her below.

“Eak! Eac!” The baby's cry.

Sylph does various ways such as making funny faces and various things to entertain her.

“Why does he keep crying? How to make it silent.”

This was problematic, the first time he felt bothered and did not know what to do. One of the ways he remembered was to give her breast milk, but Sylph was not sure if she was able to take it out or not.

In addition, she who is a fairy has a different body condition from humans. There is great concern that the asi of the fairies will be toxic to humans.

“Looks like you got a pretty petite guest, Her Majesty Queen.”

The water gathered and formed a girl in a blue dress, eyes as beautiful as the sky and her bright blue hair.

“I can't just let it go. Since humans started something that shouldn't be done right now, a noble left this little one in front of the forest. Do you know how to make her stop crying, Undine?” Ask Sylph while still trying to cope with the baby's cries.

“Maybe he's hungry. Giving asia from us fairies may have a bad impact on his body. But there may be no harm in giving the animal milk. I'll help get it.”

Undine soon becomes a shard of water and does what she wants to do, leaving Sylph troubled to take care of the baby.

It didn't take long for Undine to get milk from animals. They immediately gave it to the little one and sure enough, the crying stopped.

“Thank you, Undine. I really don't know what to do if she cries like that.”

Sylph did not answer immediately. She did not know and did not ask the name of the baby. Immediately look into the clothes he was wearing but no name would normally be written there.

“It looks like the man forgot to leave his name, yes. What if you gave it a name, my Queen? I'm sure this little one will be very happy to get the name of a grand and beautiful existence like you.” Undine suggested, gently touching the cheeks of a human baby.

Sylph didn't know what to call it, she wasn't an expert on names. Thinking for a few minutes finally came a name in his mind.

“Because she is going to be a beautiful woman, how about Priscilla?”

“Good name, Ratuku.”

On that day, the Queen of the fairies, Sylph decided to raise her little— Priscilla until she could live independently.

...***...

Five years since raising Priscilla, Sylph now understands the feelings of a mother in raising her child. At first she grew up Priscilla until she was able to live independently, but that changed over time.

Humans have a short lifespan, they are not like fairies who will not die of age. Not wanting to part with her, Sylph gave her the Fairy Queen's Love and asked the spirit tree to perform a secret ritual to make Priscilla a half-fairy.

The good thing Priscilla will not die of age, the bad side is that Priscilla's growth will stop at the age of 20 years, which means it will not age any further. Well, even so it's not so bad to be ageless.

“Mother look at this! I made a wreath with a minor fairy!”

“Ara, you are very skilled with your fingers, Priscilla. The bouquets are very beautiful.”

During his five years of caring for her, Sylph was somehow summoned to Mother by him. She had no problem with it, because every word ‘Mother’ came out of her mouth, Sylph felt happiness.

“Ehehe, come here and let me put it on your head, Mother!”

Sylph bowed her head so that Priscilla could wear the wreath.

“You are so beautiful Mother!”

“And you are a beautiful cheerful little girl like me, Priscilla!” Sylph carried him and held him up high.

“Wahahaha!”

After playing games, they went to lunch. Although fairies do not have to eat, they do it just like humans.

“Priscilla, what do you want to do when you're big? Like I said, I'm not your real mother. You were abandoned by your parents because the outside world was in chaos and I took care of you. If you want to find your biological parents then—”

Sylph had been telling Priscilla ever since she began to understand what others were saying, about the fact that she was not her real daughter.

Although not wanting to part with her, Sylph was not so selfish as to curb Priscilla. After all during her upbringing she understood the feeling of not wanting to lose. What about the woman who gave birth to him?

That's why he let Priscilla choose. Did it go looking for his parents, or maybe...

“No. Even if Mom wasn't the one who gave birth to me, I just wanted Sylph's mother to be my mother!” With her plain smile wide Priscilla made a ‘Piece’ move with her hand.

Whenever he asked the same question, Priscilla's answer was always the same. Then even though he had often heard Sylph still felt warmth, moved.

He put his face to Priscilla's face and hugged her, then kissed her.

“If that's what you want then what can be done. I love you so much, Priscilla.”

“But I don't really love you, blee!” Little Priscilla stuck out her tongue and jumped out of Sylph's embrace.

Immediately he ran, obviously wanting to be chased by Sylph. Seeing his joy made Sylph smile gently and obey her will.

“You are indeed a bad boy yes, Mother will catch and tickle you to tears!” Sylph spread her wings, making Priscilla grumble.

“Mother cheated using those beautiful wings! Unfair, unfair, I also ajan grow wings!”

Priscilla pushed her butt forward and strained like she wanted to poop, she tried hard to grow wings but to no avail.

“It seems you forgot that Mom was trying to chase you, now caught you!”

“Ahahaha! It's ticklish, forgive me!”

The cheerful laughter of the two of them could not be forgotten. Both by Sylph, Priscilla, even the spirit forest bear witness to their happiness.
