Ch. 62 — Big Clashes! Ray Vs Regulus

“I didn't think that humans would send out another Hero this fast. You guys seem pretty desperate.”

At the same time as Hazama runs away towards Nadia, the confrontation between Regulus and Ray is already heating up even though they are just staring at each other without action.

Away from them, Diablo was facing off with Marcel and Rafael against Priscilla. Regulus is quite skeptical of this situation because it is seen from wherever they are like dancing in the palm of someone's hand.

“Are you sure you didn't say that wrong? Shouldn't it be you who are desperate enough for no help despite knowing your lives will soon be lost?” Ray brandished his divine weapon and took out a dagger made from Hydra fangs.

Among the Demon Pillars the Power of Regulus was a dangerous one. They only knew that the Demon Pillar Regulus was capable of making Eternal Ice but beyond that they did not know the answer.

For that Ray must be careful with full alertness, his opponent is a magic user which means he uses the distance to fight. It might not be a suitable opponent for him but he could not complain.

“Tomented? To me you humans are just a little good trash. Excluding the Hero who nearly killed Diablo, the rest were probably only apes who could lift chopsticks.” Regulus laughed amusedly as he looked at Ray humbly.

In the blink of an eye something shot quickly without him noticing and managed to give a small wound under his eyes. Although the wound was slowly covered in ice and healed, Regulus was obviously not happy about it.

He looked at Ray who had just flown the fire blade towards him, “It doesn't matter if the human is weak, because even demons or angels are no better. This world contains only weak people.”

Without leaving any more words Ray darted quickly and slashed Regulus' hand. The hand was cut off but turned into ice and began to grow back.

“Khahaha! Then I will show if the human is weakest than the weakest!” Regulus leaped backwards and shot out dozens of ice spines.

Ray runs while avoiding, trying to cut the distance but as expected Regulus will fight while keeping his distance.

‘Now what should I do? If circumstances like this continue then just wait for the time until I am exhausted.’

Ray immediately dashed his two daggers to create a spark that enveloped the blades of the two daggers, “Dagger Flame!”

The blaze will be bright orange and hot, so the heat of the fire can make the ice that comes to melt before it reaches Ray.

“That interesting power also sucks. You really are a natural enemy that I have.” Regulus who was initially smiling now lost his smile, he threw a bigger chunk of ice than before towards Ray.

“Burst Step —Minus Tempo!” Ray's feet moved very fast as if there were dozens of feet running at the same time.

His speed increased and he easily cut the distance. Regulus was a little stunned especially when Ray had already stretched out two of his weapons towards his heart. Regulus hastily crossed his arms and sacrificed him.

His hand started turning into ice and melting, he distanced himself to heal it back but Ray was not as good as it was to let it.

“Hundred Slash!” Ray gave out hundreds of slashes in one strike, which made Regulus click his tongue.

“Icecubes!” Regulus freezes his body inside a giant chunk of ice to evade Ray's slash, after succeeding from the back-to-back attack, Regulus grows both hands and casts another spell, “Freze of World!”

Cold smoke escaped from his hands and grabbed the ground and turned it cold. The red ground was slowly covered in white ice, Ray jumped up once to avoid having his feet frozen by the ice.

The attack used by Regulus had a fairly wide area of scope, probably covering the ground which would be a fierce fight between them.

‘This is quite a problem, although it is not a Territory but this is clearly detrimental to me.’

“What happened, where was your spirit before? I'll play with you for a minute. The goalkeeper will remind me that I never half-faced my opponent. Try not to die!”

Regulus soon disappeared and fused with the ice on the ground. Ray frantically looked around without finding any results, he did not feel the slightest trace of Regulus' presence until something formed.

Not just one but appeared ten ice sculptures with the appearance of Regulus, the difference was very obvious because Regulus had a human appearance and not ice.

“Let's see how well you last!” The ice sculpture that resembled Regulus immediately gave a kick from all directions.

Ray jumped to dodge, immediately he looked up at the sky and found an ice spear plunging towards him. In the air he had no foothold so Ray chose to hold him with both daggers.

He tried to make the ice spear melt with his dagger but his attempt failed, Ray fell hard hitting the ice ground and making a hole with his body.

The Regulus ice sculpture came with the intention of stepping on but fortunately he rolled over several times and managed to avoid the demands of the attack.

“Firedagger — Phoenix Beak!” Ray lifted his dagger and immediately smashed both blades.

A sharp beak-shaped flame appeared and swept away all the ice sculptures belonging to Regulus, he began to think that facing the statue would be endless and there was only one way out.

“Hahaha, what can you do with that stupid gun? Instead of being a Hero, I suggest you become a chef in hell!” Regulus spoke out of nowhere and gave rise to the slowly approaching thorns of ice.

Ray closed his eyes despite slowly growing ice spines from the surroundings, he allowed his heartbeat to beat at a certain rhythm to enter a special condition he called Super Conscious Condition.

In his head the time of one three minutes only lasted for three seconds, at that time also Ray began to think of the right steps to do and look for the existence of Regulus.

‘You somehow I didn't find it on the surface. It is also impossible for him to teleport to a distant place because he will not be able to supervise my actions.’

Previously he had been watching the sky for a moment but found nothing which meant that there was only one possible location for Regulus to hide from Ray.

Finding such a possible location Ray re-opened his eyes, he did a full turn and prevented the ice spines being directed at him, “ Fire Dagger!”

A fire tornado appears caused by Ray swirling around, the ice around him begins to melt so that none of it manages to touch Ray.

“Defense won't make you a winner!” Regulus clearly greatly enjoyed his current state, he continued to observe from an unknown place.

But he also did not know at all if Ray had found his place and therefore he just said, “I did not say will continue to survive.”

Ray picked up a small bottle the size of an eraser, he opened the lid and immediately twisted it, a drop of bluish liquid like crystal fell dramatically.

“It's a pity that I'm not a person who relies too much on Hero weapons.”

Ray smiled mockingly though unsure if Regulus would notice him, “Phoenix Tear.”

A drop of liquid hit the ground and disappeared just like that. Soon a shocking phenomenon occurred, what was originally an icy land turned into a land filled with bluish flames.
