Ch. 80 — Salazar D'arc

“Keargh! Pain!” Petra whimpered as she tried to take off the arms of Kalkydras' legs on her waist.

Starting from the waist to the bottom can no longer be felt by Petra. Blood seemed to flow from behind the clothes the two were wearing. The hugs of Kalkydras' feet did not slacken even though Petra had tried to crush him.

“Nona Petra-!”

Regulus began to rush to see Petra who was suffering. Her lower body parts no longer moved, she was worried that Petra would experience paralysis. The witches flocked and performed healing magic together.

After a few minutes the pain Petra experienced lessened and she was no longer conscious. Not long before the pink light arrows with long ropes reached near them. The rope stiffened and someone came from the other side. He used another light arrow to hang on his rope and propelled the body with wind magic for his speed to increase.

The woman— Yuri who made her own flying fox with her ability. He immediately left and knelt down in front of Petra.

“He was off guard in the last seconds of the fight. He should have remembered Rigel's message to be wary of the opponent until finally.” Yuri held Petra's hand and checked her pulse, “Thank God she just fainted.”

Although Petra just fainted but that doesn't mean she'll be okay. The lower half of his body was quite apprehensive, even one of the witches who healed him furrowed his brows.

“How is it?” Regulus urges the witch to expose Petra's body.

“Tell me clearly and slowly. As long as you don't say stupid sentences there won't be a problem.” Petra encouraged the Witch to speak, but the ending was bad for the witch.

The Legion soldiers who heard it started crying and clucking, they could not believe their lives had been saved so many times by the fragile girl. If it wasn't for the hero's title and weapon, Petra would have been just a weak girl.

“That means no way to make Miss Petra hear back, huh?” Bellemere said sadly and also rejoiced.

We must not show compassion because it might hurt his heart.” Regulus encourages everyone to stay strong, soon a small glimmer of hope appears in his mind, “Nona Yuri, as a person who came from the same earth, is there anything from your world that can help with hearing?”

Not only the witch but the other magicians who helped with the healing felt the same way, even two out of five magicians had kneeled down. Neither Regulus nor Bellemere understood the situation, only Yuri might know the cause.

She tries to touch Petra but before she can touch her skin, Yuri's hand is blown off and her index finger tips blister as if burning. Seeing her hand being so injured, Yuri became convinced of the cause.

“So, most likely the side effects of the curse are already active.”

“Curse? What something as evil as that might be possessed by a holy existence like a Hero?” Bellemere scratched his head, only this time did he hear the Hero get cursed.

“Yes, it's the same case as Takumi. Petra should have used the Curse Series of the Seven Great Sins. For Takumi the effect is very bad, anyone nearby will feel lazy even to breathe though.” Yuri turned her gaze to Petra, “His case might not let anyone touch her as if the curse did not want anyone to touch Petra. The Exterion Sword was not only able to provide its user with energy, but it was also able to give others energy even though it was not as much as the user received. Bellemere would not suffer any loss if it provided energy from the Exterion to others.

The witch began to continue her task, she broke out in a lot of sweat until a few minutes passed and the treatment was completed. Although the treatment has been completed but for some reason his face did not improve at all.

Both Yuri, Bellemere and Regulus are stunned by the seemingly unconcerned availability of the witch, whose life will be lost by simply touching Petra. Everyone dies, but not everyone is ready to die for someone else. Among the Heroes though, not all of them can be willing to die like the Witch.

“Are you sure? You might actually die just for carrying it.” Yuri asked to confirm once again the intention of the witch, “You might as well not get a big reward from carrying her.”

Just in case the witch expects great rewards, Yuri stresses that this right may not happen. It was still not too late for the witch to retract her offer.

“Nona Yuri no need to worry. Since before becoming a Legion soldier, I have been very willing to sacrifice my life as long as mankind is able to defeat the demon race that killed my lover. Regarding rewards, if you and other Heroes managed to bring victory to mankind, then it is already the greatest gift.” The witch smiled from behind the veil that covered her face, she added the sentence, “Again I intend to die on this battlefield.”

There was no doubt that his words were not a lie. The witch man was grieved to die and carry out the sacrifice even without the rewards he might be able to get. To answer that desire, all Yuri could do was one thing.

“Then tell me your name, and if possible the name of the demon you want to avenge. I, the Arrow Hero, Sakura Yuri promised to avenge it for you.” Yuri shows the firmness and charismatic that only a Hero has.

The witch looked stunned and smiled joyfully, then in her own happiness she presented, “Salazar D'Arc, is my lowly name. Then the demon that killed my lover, he was the Demon Pillar named Igor.”

Yuri nodded deeply and remembered the name of the Demon Pillar well. Soon the witch nodded in return, immediately carrying Petra as the Princess, carefully avoiding him to give a position that might make Petra's bones deteriorate.

His skin gave off white smoke and turned blackish, burning also exposed to the curse just from carrying it. Yuri, Bellemere and Regulus looked at him with concern but the witch did not look in pain at all. Without waiting for a long time Yuri brought the witch and Petra to Britannia.
