Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 76 — Things To Be Solved II

It took about five minutes to walk until Rigel finally found Priscilla humming on the river bank. He looked carefree ignoring the situation outside was being chaotic. This needs to be grateful because he no longer mourns Sylph's death.

“It looks like you're fine.”

Priscilla turned her head and smiled broadly finding Rigel's presence, “You also look fine, Rigel.”

“Sure, I haven't done anything meaningful.”

Since Priscilla waved her hand and let Rigel sit on the edge, she had no choice but to do so. Instead of sitting down, he remained standing looking at the beautiful scene.

“I've planted the tree you want there. Everything went smoothly because no one realized its usefulness.” Priscilla said with a faint smile on her lips.

“So, yes. Good work.”

“I don't know what you want to do with it, but I beg you not to do the thing that took your life.”

“Of course I'm not a fool who will kill himself with my power.”

“You are very confident, yes?” Priscilla smirked as if mocking.

“Nobody can be trusted beyond yourself.” Rigel gave his response. Hearing this made Priscilla laugh in amusement.

“What's up?” Rigel asked because he thought there was nothing worth laughing about.

“Nothing. I just thought that the man who had one eye and the arm I knew never changed. Always have great confidence, also strong.”

If you talk about it, there is only one place where Rigel has many memories with Priscilla. The place that became the point of great change experienced by Rigel to be who he is today.

“Every time remember the place, there is an indescribable longing, yes ..” Rigel said in a voice that seemed lonely.

Even Priscilla felt the same way. Although there was a certain part that he had forgotten, at least many things were still in his place. Building a Region Conquest Union alone, leading people out of despair, aspiring to conquer the Labyrinth, and finally meeting Rigel who is trapped there with no memory.

The man who had amazingly displayed his strength against the Arc Lich and became a Region elder in a countless amount of time quickly. Heavy days full of suffering but also the rope of brotherhood will not be forgotten by them.

Even now both Rigel and Priscilla seemed to hear the illusion of laughter of his troops who were partying until the morning. They really miss the precious moments there. Although not a decent place, but from that place they have a family.

Rigel does not deny that he feels most alive there. There are various types of people there but the togetherness that is very strong even though it does not have blood relations, the rope of brotherhood will not be blunt.

“I hope they can come back to life like the two of us. But it takes a great miracle to turn it into real.”

A wishful thinking that could never be realized, once Priscilla judged. The way one can expect them to reunite is to expect them to reincarnate. Although there was no memory of that day, their relationship could not be decided.

“It may take a hundred, even a thousand years for that to happen. When the time comes you will meet them, as well as myself who was born with a new face and name.”

In the years ahead Amatsumi Rigel will no longer exist and only the memories and things he left behind. Even though he was a strong person as a human, age was something impossible to resist. Priscilla felt a faint sadness in her heart. He's afraid of the day where there's no Rigel. Even if she was happy with another girl, only with her still alive had saved her heart.

I can't imagine what it's like when the farewell season arrives.

“Thinking about it, I never thought it was much more painful for me.”

Imagining them regrouping with no memories of ever getting to know each other, is lonely on a completely different level to Priscilla who remembers everything. With her status as the current Fairy Queen, age would not come her way.

“Yes, your suffering will have no end, no matter how much time passes, one's suffering will end once one dies. But you who are regardless of age will continue to see people you know age and fall.”

Humans fear death, but some of them also fear eternal life. With the meaning of eternal life they will see their relatives age and die throughout their eternal life. It's gruesome? Of course, Rigel therefore considers death to be the perfect man.

“Is there something you want to tell me? I'm sure your arrival doesn't just discuss the past.” Priscilla changed the course of the conversation because the further the discussion about the period, the more his chest hurt.

“Yes, there is something I have to do here, with you.”

Her words were not understood until the end, Priscilla turned her head and looked for an explanation, “What do you want to do with me?”

Priscilla thought that there was no way Rigel would do something Priscilla wanted, though she had little hope of it. But it seems that something is different than expected.

“Talk about the past is not without reason. Sooner or later the farewell between us will surely arrive.” Rigel looked at Priscilla, his brows furrowing sadly.

Priscilla was sweating, she didn't want to misrepresent but from the atmosphere around Rigel, what she feared might be what was about to happen.

“E-eh ... W-what do you mean, you said, it is impossible for you to sacrifice your life ..” Priscilla was shaken and looked at Rigel, trying to get up but was stopped.

“I see the future.”

“Hah?” Priscilla choked on her own breath at Rigel's words.

“I saw the peak of this war, the time where all the answers came to me. The reason for my existence in this world, and the meaning of the Promised Day will come. I don't know what happens next, but I know what I have to prepare.” Rigel extended his hand to Priscilla's face, just as he did to Undine.

Priscilla only fell silent while looking at Rigel's incomprehensible actions. Gazing at the wide-open palm in front of him, slowly a warm light emerged from it.

“This is Priscilla farewell, goodbye.”

A bright light shone from her palms, enveloping them and the entire fairy forest in a warm envelop that lasted a few seconds before disappearing.

Rigel hugged the unconscious Priscilla. Not only Priscilla, but all the inhabitants of the fairy forest were no longer conscious thanks to the light Rigel used.

“It's one-sided farewell, Priscilla.” Rigel who had pulled the rune in his hand said with a hint of loneliness.

Doing this kind of farewell was what he hated the most beyond anything. Because by doing the farewell there was the highest painful feeling in the chest, whether he still had it or not, Rigel still did not like it.

Immediately laying down Priscilla, wiping her cheeks and hair, she left the desolate fairy forest as everything was unconscious for a few minutes.

‘There's one more thing I have to do.’ Thinking about it, Rigel rushed to the last place he had to visit before going to the battlefield.

Rigel meets someone at the beginning to make some arrangements, and when the time comes he gets to the beloved girl.

“Whatever you are here, there will be no stars no matter how long you observe.”

The girl who drank tea in the middle of the garden and observed the red sky as if it was twilight forever. The scent of lemon tea tickled her nose, her golden hair always looking beautiful with blue eyes so beautiful beyond jewels.

He looked peaceful but he was very agitated in his heart. The girl— Tirith was so happy that bad circumstances did not afflict Rigel as they did to Hazama and Nadia.

“You tea? No yes, considering you are quite busy.” He withdrew his own offer considering Rigel had a fight waiting for him, “If I could I wanted to fight, but both you and Dad would not allow me.” He looked disappointed and just smiled wryly.

Rigel walked over and sat by his side while saying, “You are an important figure for this kingdom. Altucray will definitely join the fight, if he dies then only you deserve to replace his position as the Leader of the Doll.”

Technically this kingdom already belonged to Rigel but was never announced. He simply pulled the thread behind the scenes and manipulated many things in this kingdom. If Altucray were to fall, then no one other than his own daughter would be suitable to play the role of the next puppet. And had he married Rigel, there would have been no doubt that the doll would no longer be needed.

Although it is no longer needed because what is at the end is the unavailability of the role of the doll.

“Isn't it too cruel to equate it with dolls? Although I am tolerant, there are still things that will make me angry if you overdo it.” Tirith bulged her cheeks and threw away face with “Hmpfh!”

Seeing that Rigel slightly smiled and pinched his cheek with a little energy, “Your anger is just a joke to me.”

“Itwu swakit Rigel!” He didn't speak properly because his cheeks were pulled.

Rigel immediately let go and stared at the same sky, “This is the biggest storm of my life.”

The storm is a life experience that is happening. Going to the Hell's Labyrinth, and facing the Catastrophe was indeed a great storm, but Ragnarok was a storm that was many times bigger than the others.

It had never been thought that the scale going on would be like this until the time when Rigel wanted to end it all in one fell swoop. He might be able to do it, there were many things he learned from his strength during the wait for Ragnarok.

“Yes, it is a very big storm. But you should know, that the storm will definitely pass.” As Tirith looked up at the same sky, she had a feeling that this could be the last time they could have a conversation.

“Definitely passed, huh? Nice words but there will be missing carried away by a big storm during the process.”

It takes no small sacrifice to face this great storm, humanity with all its energy trying to stop the storm. This soul-swallowing battle, when exactly will it end?

No one knows, even Rigel who has seen through the future does not know for sure when this war will be finished.

‘Storm will definitely pass ... yes, it must be.’

“What's Rigel? Not usually you look sad.” Putting down his cup, Tirith gently stroked Rigel's cheek, whose face was wrinkled as if she was in anguish.

Rigel just stood still and touched his hand, feeling the longed warmth.

“I just thought of something, about how you will live life after the storm passed.”

Tirith looked clueless, there was a part that he did not want to understand from Rigel's words, “Not me, but we will be together! You ... It's not going anywhere, is it? You promise you won't die any way!”

“I always keep my promise, and I will not die.”

The promise is obsolete but Rigel clings to the promise, no matter what happens he will live on.

Rigel started to stand up, Tirith did too and their hands held each other as if they were about to dance.

“Then why, you say such things?” His eyes were sparkling, Tirith seemed to want to cry over something.

“No one will know what will happen starting from this point. Dunia— the universe may be in turmoil because of something they are looking forward to. Various situations can happen, a series of chaos began to join hands to the end of the yearned.”

The world is united to the storm of destruction that is happening, destiny is not against the flow of the river that hit and maybe, this world reached the end of the story. Each story will have its own ending.

Of course, no one really understood the meaning of his words. Tirith was confused instead of playing, she started crying. Not because they do not understand the word, but Rigel's attitude seems to say goodbye.

“What are you trying to say, Rigel? It's not like you usually are.”

“I'm still me, won't be anyone else. But the me you know will disappear. Not only physically, but the existence of a human named ‘Amatsumi Rigel’ will also disappear.” Rigel smiled even though his eyes were wrinkled sadly.

‘Somehow is this face, but the tears may have dried up? Or is there never again?’ Rigel was a little relieved because he wasn't crying which would only complicate things.

Tirith let go of Rigel's hand, shutting her mouth as she wept more profusely, taking three steps back as if in disbelief.

“What the fuck, can't be trusted. You will not die, you must not die. What about your promise to live? Are you going to break it? Basic cheater! Don't ever say goodbye to me again, Rigel! Don't you know how much I've suffered waiting for you, thinking you've died in the Bottomless Gorge ... I don't want the same thing to happen again.” She was crying like a child who would lose her pet.

Rigel once fell into a ravine, it happened when he was betrayed by Takatsumi and Altucray. At that time Rigel met someone and was sent to the Hell's Labyrinth in search of power. The time Rigel spent was long, but for Tirith two years passed.

Two years she had been through with tears, hoping that Rigel would come back and hug her. The dream was almost forgotten by Tirith but sure enough, at one time Rigel returned.

‘The hundred years I lived have never been comparable to two years of wasted tears.’ Rigel understands that, he's not fair.

“Say, Rigel ... You're not going anywhere. You'll stay alive. Will you stay with me in the days of peace where we live together? Say so!” Tirith shouted, her screams loud enough to echo in the royal garden.

But anticipation has been made, the area around the park emptied because of the arrangement Rigel made. In this place right now there were only the two of them, and one person observing.

Tirith kept staring at Rigel and expecting the answer she wanted. However, what Rigel said in the mouth was reversed from what he expected:

“I will go somewhere where you, Takumi, even everyone will never be able to reach.” Rigel took one step closer.

“I never reneged on my promise. As I promised you back then, that I would not die.” Rigel continued to step closer to Tirith until the distance between them ran out.

Gently stroking her cheeks, both faces approached and before greeting each other Rigel conveyed:

“I never promised, nor said we would live together. And since none of my words say it, this is my farewell ... Goodbye to.”

“TIDA—”

Without a chance to scream, Rigel opened his mouth but did not come into contact with Tirith. A bluish light shot out from Tirith's mouth and both eyes, a light that Rigel immediately sucked through his mouth. Their eyes shone bluish, strong winds gushed through the surrounding garden and caused it to disintegrate.

Tirith immediately fainted in Rigel's arms when the light that Rigel absorbed disappeared. For the last time Rigel this time actually kissed Tirith's lips, then clenched her and whispered, “I'll love you until the end.”

After complacent saying farewell, his gaze turned to the person who approached him, “Selisanya I leave it to you.”

An old man who looked at her with sadness and concern, the King of Dolls, Altucray.
