Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 31 — Why?

Rigel managed to stop Priscilla from acting rashly despite not being able to completely temper her emotions. Asking about Sylph's condition made Priscilla go bad, crying and biting her lips bitterly.

“Dia ... Mother already—”

“Quite, I understand.”

No need to continue anymore, Rigel already knows the facts. As he saw it, everything became real like this. The reality was so bitter, not wanting him to admit all this was reality.

It was quite excruciating but no tears came out. The time he spent with Sylph was probably short. But the week they spent together meant a lot.

Realizing that there was nothing that could be done about what had already happened, for now all Rigel needed to do was to make this happen.

“It looks like you are using the card you are hiding, yes.” Rigel looked at Michael who was just smiling, staring demeaningly.

Rigel did not know what kind of lightning just now was, but it was obviously very strong because even the hard ground that did not conduct electricity, now had a small voltage of electricity flowing.

“Unlike I actually rely on this kind of power. But to fight a lowly rat like you, this is a suitable weapon.”

Michael swung the lightning bolt in his hand, dropping a huge thunderbolt right where Rigel and Priscilla were. The reason was only to find out how deep the Rigel's strength was.

Without noticing the lightning heading towards him, Rigel raised his right hand and removed the lightning. He certainly knew that Michael's only goal was to test it.

Despite knowing that, he still showed his strength for Michael to ask how far the limit of power he had. The more Rigel showed that he was not weakened at all, the more Michael remained vigilant and not rash.

Despite the fact, Rigel's consciousness blurs several times during a fight with Lucifer. It was not that he was exposed to illusions or paralyzing magic, but because his body had almost reached its limit.

‘Even if this power is extraordinary, my body remains an ordinary human.’

Stage Four Void did help Rigel regenerate and could barely die, but that did not mean stage four strengthened his body into more than an ordinary human.

For the worst possibility was that Rigel reached his limit, then there might be no other choice but to use the last stage of the Void. The stage that scared him even though he never used it.

‘As I used the Void stages, my understanding of each stage increased. And in this fourth stage I understand it a little, that stage five is not a power that a human like me deserves.’

“That bastard, I will definitely kill you!” Priscilla was still impatient and intending to attack, but Rigel deftly grabbed her hand.

“Hold yourself. Even a Sylph who is stronger than you is unable to fight him, then what can you do?”

In fact Priscilla was currently weaker than in the Hell's Labyrinth. Either his strength has not been recovered or because of the soul pieces of his that only slightly made his strength weaken.

“But, still-!”

“Be quiet. If you die, Sylph's sacrifice becomes futile.” Rigel looked at Priscilla coldly.

Indeed, even in its seductive adult form, but the face that still gives the impression of a small child never changes.

Priscilla looked at Rigel's cold eyes, full of anger just as she seemed. He realizes that Rigel is completely different from the last time they met. Not only was her hair not as black as before, but now her once non-existent eyes and hands, came into existence.

“... Alright. But promise to avenge my mother's death, not now. But in the future to come.” Priscilla shed her tears, kneeling with grief.

“That's for sure.” Rigel stands facing Michael when Priscilla no longer shows any sign of resistance.

At the right time Lucifer and his Demon Pillars came. Rigel felt a hateful look from Diablo, but he didn't really care and ignored it, making Diablo quite angry.

If not for Lucifer's orders and the pressure Zenos exerted, it had been since the beginning of Diablo lunging forward.

“The Thunder God, belonging to Barakiel and the Shield, must be Kemuel's. You have an interesting thing, is it possible that they were killed and you scavenged it?” Lucifer smiled mockingly and laughed a little.

“Hahaha, you never change, always say bad jokes since being in heaven.” Michael laughed, deliberately provoking Lucifer's anger.

The taboo the Devils knew was not to discuss, offend and ask what happened to Lucifer until he was cast out of heaven.

Lucifer is one of the angels of the Seraphim as the bearer of light. But because of his arrogance, he was kicked from heaven, making him lose the light and become darkness.

He did not regret it, only this time he hated the light. Darkness is not born after light, darkness is before light. Lucifer wanted to emphasize that to the world, which is why he tried to destroy the place that had thrown it away.

“Hahaha, but it suits you. In fact thousands of years have passed, Fallen Angel is still a great joke in heaven!”

Ignoring their incomprehensible conversation Rigel had, he was secretly amassing power and was even ready to detonate a nuclear explosion at any moment.

“Priscilla back. Warn the other Heroes to retreat, I'm sure you can find them.” Rigel whispers.

Priscilla nodded and stood back up to where the other Heroes were and pulled back the fairy army. Even though he did not have any special authority, at least if it was just pulling back he could do it.

Rigel must now confront Michael and Lucifer and his Devil Pillar. There were still a few noble demons left behind, but it seemed that they were no big deal as Rigel no longer sensed their presence.

“Disregard the past, say what you want to do now. I'm sure you don't want to fight it out now.” Lucifer asked as he calmed himself down.

Rigel could argue and call for all-out war. But he is not self-conscious enough that his condition is not prime. For a war that obviously won't last short, Rigel needs at least the same conditions when first entering the lair of the dragons.

“Maybe good with all-out fighting. But it is very useless later my troops are fully prepared for war if you are destroyed before the time.”

He sighed as if saying ‘You how else’ and smiled condescendingly. The nature he possesses does not reflect the nature of an angel. Maybe even Lucifer is still a much better angel.

“Yeah, after all like I said that this is the initial curtain before the end. It's not good to get rid of you here, so I'm going to resign. See you in the last war, Ragnarok!”

A small hole in the sky formed and Michael slowly flew up, entering the hole. It left Lucifer and Rigel staring at each other without anyone intending to attack.

“See you later, Rigel. In war I guarantee I will kill you. Let's go.”

Soon a black hole was formed, Lucifer entered it and was followed by another Demon Pillar. To the end, Diablo stared at him sharply.

Realizing that it was all over, the war that seemed to last for years but in fact only took one afternoon, was now over.

The surrounding scenery was terrible, many casualties but the body was not found because it was absorbed by Void. Rigel knelt down to face the clear sky. The runes on his body, the Void pulled back and faded away slowly.

“Once, Sylph was completely dead. Even Gahdevi fared the same.”

The final curtain is in sight, whether it takes some time but just waiting. Rigel certainly mourns Sylph's death, but he is not so saddened by it.

Yeah, he's not so sad. It's just that something was piercing his chest, it really hurt and didn't just disappear. No wounds, these are invisible wounds.

Rigel certainly doesn't care much about him he—

“...”

—crying. Tears fell, not from next door but both.

“I don't feel so sad, but why are these tears coming out endlessly?”

He wiped it, but again and again water washed it. I don't know what to do to stop him, he doesn't know.

Rigel is aware that he is not crying over Sylph's death, but something else is making him so. It was what he saw when using the Behemoth-given eye that was handed to Takumi, then to him.

“All are exactly the same, such hells I will meet, lonely.”

“Again and again, again and again, again and again, why should it be so, why why why why why?”

His tears kept dripping, until Rigel finally fell and was unconscious.
