Hero Creator: The Last Hero

Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 73 — Petra Vs Kalkydras

Petra and Aland fought against the demon and angel army at the same time, there were many of them coming so troublesome against him at one time. They fought while saving energy but somehow they were able to survive.

“No end!” Petra cursed while jumping backwards and turned her back on Aland.

“They are indeed troublesome, we have to do something.” Aland slashed at the angel and demon in front of him.

He intended to ask for the help of Bellemere and his troops but their situation was also not good. Starting from demon nobles to angels with four wings facing Bellemere in a fierce fight that risked lives.

There were certainly many Legion soldiers helping Aland and Petra but there were still more enemies to deal with.

“Hero Hammer, Hero Fan, please wait for one minute, the weapon given Hero Creator will be ready soon!” A soldier came to them and gave them news.

This is worth being grateful for but even firearms have limits to use. Aland himself did not expect much with firearms considering it takes time to do the charging. The bullets they have are limited and the number will not be enough to burn the army of demons or angels.

“Alright! Do your best to reduce the number of enemies!” Aland said loudly and without ever realizing that Kalkydras had darted through it.

Aland was wide-eyed, as if time slowed down he was able to see beautiful white wings flying through him. He was late to react and before he could warn, Kalkydras sent a powerful blow to Petra.

“PETRA!” Shouted Aland with worry and anger in his intonation.

Petra sensed danger and Aland warned but it was too late. Kalkydras hit his back. Petra screamed as she slammed a few meters, in her path she turned around knowing that Kalkydras would strike again.

As expected Kalkydras darted quickly and stretched out another fist, this time Petra did not react too late and used both of her fan to reduce the impact of her fists.

“Kyaah!” Petra shouted while being thrown into the sky, if the situation never changes then he will end up being a boxing bag. Surely he won't be silent and there's only one way to go.

“Pull in the thorny autumn!” Petra flicked the two fans and popped up the soon-to-be-strewn petals of pink flowers, “Camelia Storm!”

The pink petals darted rapidly towards the Kalkydras who were on their way. Against such a trivial attack the Kalkydras did not make any effort to avoid it.

Although his strength was affecting hearing, he was quite confident with his defensive power being able to withstand several Barakiel attacks. And because of a great sense of confidence the petals of the flower hit his body.

The most surprising thing was that the flower petals were able to give small scratches to the wounds of Kalkydras, he was surprised because of the small pain and blood flowing. Letting his body hurt again was not a good choice but useless because he was late avoiding some petals.

However there were already about ten small incisions on his body thanks to the attack.

“This sucks, you are so annoying!” Kalkydras looked at Petra hatefully.

Seraphim seems to hate the most that his name hurt. No one should be able to survive offending them. Even though the wound came from his own carelessness, Kalkydras would not accept it.

Petra uses its fan like a wing so that it can land safely on the ground. His breathing began to pant and pain pierced from his back and stomach.

‘He made the armor on my back dent in one punch. My spine seems to be fractured even if just a little.’

Even if only a little bit of the pain remains overwhelming. Either his body was too weak or his punch was indeed very strong, no matter which one the Kalkydras were not easy to deal with.

‘The strength affecting his hearing is very troublesome, plus his strong physical Strength. I'm not sure I can win against him. Not to mention, he still hasn't used it.’ Petra's gaze shifted to the trumpet on Kalkydras' waist.

He felt a bad feeling from the trumpet which was clearly not a mere length. The trumpet was like a rhino horn with Four large gems on its side and ancient-looking magic carvings. The gems with red, green, blue, and black colors instantly emitted an elusive radiance.

Given Kalkydras main ability was Hearing Influence, then no doubt the trumpet was a trump card he might have as his strongest weapon.

‘Indeed there is no guarantee he has no other card. At least for now all I have to be aware of is the trumpet and the chant.’

To prevent the same from happening as before, Petra had to create an opportunity where not to let the Kalkydras have time to sing and control this battlefield. Not only was it bad for him but its influence was very likely to divide the first wave Legion army.

Petra's body trembled slightly as Kalkydras slowly descended from the sky, ‘There is no way but to fight. Then it means ... I have to be ready to die.’

Petra rounded her resolve. In this life he is most afraid of the name of death even though it is the duty of living beings to die when the time comes. Rigel's words about “Death is what makes a man perfect.” is actually unacceptable to Petra.

He always believed that immortal beings like Gods were the most perfect because they would never feel death. But for now there is no point in discussing something that will not end.

“It looks like you hate me so much, even though it was the first time we met.” Petra smiled full of agony, silently her fan giving off a faint purple radiance.

“And even though we first met, you are the only one who insulted the beauty of music.” Kalkydras points to Petra as hateful, “Creatures that demean and hate music are the most deserving of death than sinners!”

“Hah! I never hated music. To my knowledge, music is the beautiful sound of stereo. But the music you're talking about is more like a rat squeak to me. Absolutely does not have any value, even death metal still has its own value.”

The fact that when Kalkydras sang his voice was strangely shrill was almost like the sound of a door creaking. Who would be interested in the strange and painful sound of the bell, perhaps because it is also what makes the Kalkydras a super troublesome opponent.

“Hehehe, you said it again, you insulted my music again. It is unforgivable, unforgivable, and certainly impossible to forgive. Only death can be the best punishment for you. Your death will be very painful, trash!” Kalkydras quickly headed towards Petra full of anger.

“Fan Shot!” He fused the tip of his fan and shot out a powerful light that shattered his trajectory.

Kalkydras held him with his left hand, not sparing him to use the light to protect his hand. Never would he intend to make the same mistake twice, in this fight he would go all out as long as he managed to kill the human in front of him.

The light he was fielding hit the ground with a powerful enough explosion, but soon the fan blades came in the hundreds. There was too much to handle at one time but it didn't make him worry.

“Strongest Storm!” Kalkydras stretched out his hand and made a storm in front of him, the fan blades increasingly missed his target thanks to the strong wind he made.

Although he managed to get rid of it but he could not be happy because there were still some who headed towards him. He was able to avoid it easily and when the attack ended, Kalkydras took the opportunity to sing. He started taking a breath, closed his eyes and—

“Lullaby ..”

“Hallo! Here is Petra stepping on the face of a Seraphim! Hahaha!” Petra laughed out loud and immediately walked away worried that Kalkydras was doing something she didn't think of.

“Then I let you die easy!” Kalkydras disappeared from his place, the instant he was behind Petra.

“Attacking women from behind is so disrespectful!” Petra spun like a gasing, the outstretched hand of Kalkydras got a pretty deep wedge. Not only deep but his attack managed to cut off the index finger of Kalkydras.

“Keurgh!” Kalkydras whimpered and tried to recover his finger, but Petra was not that good at letting it go.

Stop spinning Petra darted fast and was just above Kalkydras, freefall stretched out both of its fan and fell like a meteor, “Hyaa!”

SRING!

The two fans slashed at the back of the Kalkydras and caused blood to flow out. Feel the pain Kalkydras do not stay silent, “Sound of Death Calling you, die in front of your regrets and worst nightmares!”

With a spell that was more suitable for the demons to use, Kalkydras began to shout loudly towards Petra. Deadly sound waves flew towards him and hit him. Even if he did not give any external injuries, Petra began to hallucinate. He began to see a scene he should never have seen again.

“... —kak ... Brother!”

Petra was surprised and widened her eyes. Urban scenery that brought nostalgia and the aroma of medicine from the hospital filled the room.

He realized that he was not holding a fan or pocketing, in his hand was only a school bag and a series of flowers. Petra also found herself wearing a dark blue suit and a short gray skirt, her school uniform.

“Are you unwell, sis?”

A soft voice that he was very familiar with and yearned to call out to him. Petra found a 10-year-old boy. With long unkempt black hair, soft tired eyes and a flattened body as it continues to undergo treatment.

‘Tak is wrong again. Can't be wrong.’

“Um, brother?” Once again the boy called and touched Petra's forehead with a small, infused hand.

The warm sensation of his hands is very real, so Petra actually does not believe if this is an illusion. He believes this is reality and without ever realizing it warm liquid flows from his cheeks. Without needing to linger any longer, Petra hugged her sister.

“Why are you crying brother?” The boy asked curiously and stroked his sister's fragrant hair.

“Nacht! It's really you, right?! I missed you!”

“Eh?! Even though we meet almost every day, brother misses me to tears? Come on, brother, this is embarrassing.” The boy called Nacht blushed in embarrassment especially when sniffing his brother's scent, “What happened to make you like this, sis?”

Petra kept crying in the arms of the boy, her heart was really happy to be able to see the missed sister, “No. I just feel like I just saw a very long dream, a horrible dream, also fun.”

Slowly she released her embrace from her sister, her eyes red and moist with tears. Looking at the rare sight where his older sister was crying, Nacht smiled and—

“Why did you leave me alone?”

—views alternating. The place that was originally a peaceful hospital was also quiet turned into a hellish room full of flames. Petra realized that she was again using the armor and clothes she used in the war.

The last sight he saw before leaving the earth would never escape in his mind. The memories he had always stored and wanted to forget, the trauma he never wanted to feel again came and emerged, to haunt him.

“We should have died together. As a brother, it's your job to protect me. No, brother, why are you the only survivor. Why is it that only you can stay alive, Petra?!” Nacht's eyeballs removed and left a terrible hole, the skin and flesh melted as if rotting as it walked towards him.

“My evil brother, my stupid brother, I hate you so much for letting me die!”

Hearing words she never wanted to hear made Petra go crazy and pull her hair. Immediately a beam of light shone from his palm, a ray that carried warmth was also anger.

“No! Nacht won't say that, Nacht—”

As if everything was beginning to darken, Petra was now able to hear a shout that restored the color of the world

“SHOT!”

Legion soldiers who had prepared firearms began firing at Kalkydras in an attempt to rescue Petra, whose neck was being strangled. Kalkydras manages to deliver his attack, a sound that will evoke memories as well as the worst trauma of mankind.

“One more step I'll kill him, but these fuckers-!”

Although Kalkydras initially hesitated that the weapon would be useful, but in reality he was hit by a bullet in the shoulder. Surprisingly, the bullet was able to injure him and give a hole in the shoulder, the hand where Petra was strangled. Kalkydras could not recover because there was an object on his shoulder.

For that reason he tried not to be exposed to other attacks if he did not want to die such a silly death. His hands still strangled Petra but that was all he could do with the many attacks on her.

“I don't think the weapon is capable of wounding an angel, what is used as the material of its manufacture?!”

If it was just ordinary metal or even contained Explosive Stones could never hurt Seraphim-class creatures that have high defense than angels in general.

In cases like this where an angel can get hurt, if it's not an ordinary metal then there's only one answer. Kalkydras poked at his own shoulder and took out the thing inside. Soon his injuries recovered but the thing he found was shocking.

“So, the hardest precious metal, Adamantite! It's only right they can hurt me!”

Adamantite is the strongest stone that contains natural magic and makes it special. Not only is it powerful but Adamantite is the most suitable material for making great magic objects. Ancient Artifacts that are the creation of Gods have the basic ingredients of Adamantite.

Too late in his anger, Kalkydras was late in realizing the girl in the clutches of his hand had already opened her eyes. The main difference from before was that Petra unleashed a power that was 3x stronger than before.
