Ch. 37 — Stories From Past

“One by one the problems keep coming as if endless, give me a break.” Aland muttered tiredly.

Since the union of the Heroes under Rigel's leadership, trouble has always come. The initial curtain opened when the Tortoise conquest, the next gate to the Underworld, the Monster of Catastrophe and even the fight against the leaders of the two war races.

Trouble keeps coming and not letting them rest longer to level up or recover.

“Because you said a mystery figure, meaning you don't know who he is right?” Marcel asked, crossing his arms as he thought.

“Yes, I have never seen such a figure before. To be honest I thought that the figure was an anomaly, his body was only shrouded in shadow and left his face alone. My honest opinion, the figure is more inclined towards the devil.”

Natalia explained her figure according to what she saw. With an aura of pitch-black darkness, his sinister-looking eyes were definitely not something that humans possessed.

It is quite natural that such a figure is more inclined to the Devil, considering that darkness is the power of the Devils.

“So, then what does he say until you want to discuss it?”

Pause for a moment, Natalia hesitated to say it. Perhaps others would consider this to be sheer nonsense, especially the two kingdoms that may be closely related.

“This world should have fallen, so I created terrible things like slavery and the Monster of Catastrophe. But who would have thought this would happen. Not a Hero, Asoka or the others, but a figure who can very well maintain his calm is precisely the one who kicked the table. Who else would open the Supreme Reverend of the religion of Ruberios, Alexei.

The name mentioned seems to bear a resemblance to two ancestors from different kingdoms and makes the saying is not mere nonsense.

This is another mystery to solve despite the many great unsolved mysteries.

“This mystery figure just might he be from the past or something?” Yuri tried to shift the conversation in the other direction.

“Is it possible that he is of the same generation as the Hero of the previous generation?” Petra asked.

“Maybe.” Not Natalia, but Rudeus who had been silent answered her. “I remember reading it ancient painted carved in a diamond, my family's treasure passed down through generations.”

Rudeus opened the index and took out a diamond the size of a human head. Everyone was amazed by how big and beautiful the rainbow-colored Diamond was. Inside there is a carving that writes the name.

“Even though you are Heroes, unfortunately pocket can not give it. It's very precious to me.” Rudeus smiled faintly as he saw the Heroes making faces as if they wanted to have one.

“Heaven Diamond, the rarest treasure that there is only one in this world. What a nostalgia when we fight for that thing.” Altucray slightly laughed as he recalled the past.

“Disregard the question, now we pay attention to what is written in it.” Rudeus placed the Diamond in the center of the table. “Written in it Eternal Kingdom, Etherbelt. Unparalleled great empire. According to my family records this Diamond was obtained around the previous generation of known Heroes, a time of chaos.”

“It's the first time I've seen this thing. If it is so true that the figure and Etherbelt connected in the past?” Ask Asoka impressed.

Rudeus simply nodded and quickly stored back his treasure in fear of being stolen by the Hero.

The facts slowly begin to unfold little by little and the shocking reality is that the mysterious figure who met Rigel came from the past.

“Hear this I remember a story I read in a book. May not provide valuable information but the story tells about the chaos in the past.” Ray spoke up about this.

“Please say, Ray. No matter how small the possibility we need to try it because there may be implied information in it.” Asoka smiled kindly.

In an information dead end situation where the relics of the past are swallowed up by time, something as small as anything matters. Ray just nodded and started telling stories.

“This story starts from a kingdom that uses magic to give birth to twelve humans with great power.”.

Long story short the magic succeeded and twelve people with great power were born. But there is an anomaly, the magic that should have only chosen twelve people in fact gave birth to 13 people with power.

The other 12 people managed to obtain unparalleled great strength, yet the 13th person only gained half of his strength and was underestimated by many.

Somehow he fell into despair and drowned in a sea of darkness because of the betrayal of the kingdom that made him possess such power.

In the end he demanded vengeance by making many murders until the world hunted him down, even demons and fairies did not dwell before him.

“When the world was on the verge of destruction, civilization was wiped out. Only one sentence describes the events in the story, hell fell into the world. The 13th man managed to kill four out of twelve people with great strength. In the final moments when eight people with great strength managed to surround him, the wonder of the world happened. The last sentence written in the book is simply, the god descended into this world.”
